    Kot

Matt was in the trailer? Thats all i can tell, haha. That KOT is sexy, i forgot Michelin Comp 16's were so cool! Nice front tyre as well too, 'cept for the gay colour... I feel i'm going off topic.
  2. Well it does, for the reasons myself and Tomm outlined above.
  3. I'm a lefty... If you wanna get technical about it, it's better to be right foot forward (on a stock anyways, who cares abouts mod :) ) so you can sidehop to your left and have clearance, then you won't hit your rear der. I can do small gaps and basic trials moves with my right foot forward, but it's like learning all over again.
  4. Cat Power - He war. The Arcade Fire - Haiti. Out Hud - It's for you.
  5. I hear Kings are good...
  6. Yeh i think looking on CRC/Wiggle etc., are the wrong places to look, companies seen to be nice such as Specialized are just gonna get stolen. So yeh, i agree with the Halfords bikes, and as has been mentioned a hybrid seems a good choice. If you have a local CyclesUK.com shop, or an Action Bikes or similar, have a look in one of them (Y)
  7. Wysiwyg is always fun to throw into conversations. Banter, livid, saxamaphone and 'jigga what?' are being used alot over 'ere. Oh, and 'seen seen jelly bean' too.
  8. Sounds like awesome fun :o
  9. Are there any gripping issues when the bit you're holding starts to melt? Could be one slippery son of a bitch. Sounds....Erotic?
  10. The cranks look sweet in the raw form! Erm, but who cares abouts looks?
  11. Yeh, DH is one of the most expensive 'cos they have to be so strong, and have to have big travel, and pedal well too. The Honda bike was stupidly expensive, with a carbon mainframe and a gearbox etc. Intense M3's are more expensive that £2000, and you can get Foes/Carnutt sus. forks in the £2000 range too. But yeh anyways, on topic hehe...
  12. The Sram 7.0 is a direct competitor with the XT mech., if you didn't know that. It's a nice bike, as has been pointed out about 30740 times, it's not worth £4500. It's also pretty small for what is an XC bike, you'll have to put the post right up to get decent pedaling efficiency, grrrrrreat...

    Song Wanted

Stephen Morris is God. "It's always better on holiday, so much better on holiday.."
  14. Nice pics, looks like a decent place to ride! Is it in central Plymouth or near the Hoe (Ho, t'ever)? I don't know Plymouth very well, i did go there once to have a Cap'n Jaspers though....Mmmmm....

    Brake Problem

DO NOT get new pads (especially RimJams..), Plaz CRM's are pretty much the best pad to have on a clean rim. Do what James said and use Muc-Off, or make up your own mix of soapy water (does exactly the same thing, and cheaper/easier to get hold of). Take the pads out and give them a good scrub with Muc-Off/Soapy water, and refit. This should give you a clean pad on a clean rim. Should work for a fair while... Water will help if it dies a bit (Y)
  17. Never tried 'em, I'm not into smoking stuff so weed cakes/tea whatever they put it in these days would be my first port of call if i decided i wanted some drug-fuelled fun time. But yeh, whatever, injecting shit is BAD, but heh, your life. Comma comma.
  18. The problem with ISIS is that the axle is bigger, therefore the bearings used in the BB are smaller, therefore not as strong. However Square tapers round... It's pretty much a 6 of one, half a dozen of the other situation...
  19. Christ, listing every single part on a jump bike is gonna be a mission.. Could you not do some of your own research?
  20. Yeh, Marzocchi Dirt Jumper's are good for dirt jumping. As has been said many times, triple clamps are designed for DH bikes. The Rock Shox Pike forks are also good for dirt jumping. If you want slightly more freeride oriented, get some Marzocchi Z1 Wedge forks (if you can still find them :)), i've been running these for years and they have been excellent. However there is slightly too much travel (130mm) and slightly too soft for full-on dirt jumping. For a Rhythm frame, you'd be best off limiting yourself to forks around the 110mm mark. Anything over that will start to make your bike ride shit. Dirt jumping requires a relitively hard fork, with slow rebound.
