  1. They all look liek Matt to me? I'm unsure as to which hook you mean, but the one where myself and Steve are standing at the top of Shell where's he's on Chai's mod is Matt, they swapped bikes that day! Cheers for the extra pages Julien (Y)
  2. I can't help i'm afraid, PM Adam (Adam@Tartybikes.co.uk, or Tartridge), or Dave (Dave@Tartybikes.co.uk) instead (Y)
  3. Firstly, wear eye protection if you feel you need it, i always do just 'cos i like my eyes. Secondly, a cutting disk will give a good, sharp grind which is what you want. However don't put much pressure on it or it may snap and your face will die. Stone/metal cutting are good. Careful you don't actually cut through your rim though, thats not a good look.
  4. Sheldon Brown > * Try Sheldonbrown.com or similar (Y)
  5. Very nice mate, personally i'd ditch the neoprene protectors (you shouldn't need them anyways) and paint/get black/silver pedals. Other than that, looks good... Might wanna change pads as has been suggeted, you can get Koxx Reds if you're that anal about the colour (Y)
  6. Yes homes, my mate cracked his all around in exactly the same spot as yours round near the deraillier
  7. Taxi! Anywho... The closest i got to being illegal was nicking a 'Quattro' badge off an Audi A6 in a scrap yard. Oh, and the rape.
  8. Americans seem to have had success with the Surly's, meant to be like Kog's but without the beautiful machining. DX's are under a tenner though arn't they? Sounds like a good bet to me :ermm:
  9. oh my god i'm hurt and distraught, how could you do this to me after all we've been through?!
  10. Don't buy the BT jacket, it'll be a generic non breatheable, waterproof coat from a catalogue with a BT logo on it. Do as has been said, and pop down to TK Maxx. Loads of coats at half the price, and they have all sorts. Look for - Breathable fabric, waterproof (splashproof if you're a pussy (N)), ideally with a low back section to cover your arse, reflectiveness for safety, taped seams, and non-mainstream brands. I have a RLX coat (Ralph Lauren division that makes outdoorsy stuff) and it's pretty average, even though the price was very high. Nike and Adidas being the exceptions, they make some very good, if over priced, kit. Karrimoor, Peter Storm, Outdoor scene, Gul, Marlin, Fox all make very good coats. You'll have to decide whether you want a windproof shell thats light and you can fold up into a tiny bag but isn't warm as such, or whether you want a proper coat that is bulky but is nicely padded and warm. Remember the power of the fleece. It appears i know too much about coats for my own good (Y)
  11. I havn't touched my Magura for over 2 years now (Y) Might bleed it with water for the fun of it though. No need for anti freeze either, i live in a good part of the country (N)
  12. Some lengths of forks my friend: Fatty R: 400mm Echo Urban: 410mm KOT: 415mm Echo Pure: 420mm  Any of these forks will stand you in good stead, they have all been proven to be strong and light. If you're in the UK, all but the Fatty's can be purchased from Tartybikes, if you're in the US/Canada look at Webcyclery, Factionbike (talk to Elan, he should be able to tell you the length of the Koxx fork, and give reccommendations) etc. Fatty's have been discontinued, but are available second hand and from selected shops if you look around.
  13. They be comp frames. Thanks for letting us know!
  14. Trials-forum.co.uk is the bethstest websthite ever guythhh!
  15. Hardly anyone round here wears Timberlands (unless they be a lumberjack), Henry Lloyd (unless they're a sailor... on a side note, weird how sailing stuff gets 'cool' again, i had a Helly Henson life jacket way before i saw people wearing HH on the streets haha) and Fred Perry stuff is cool in small amounts to hip young Londoners who are anything but chav. Anyways, what are people who wear Nike/Adidas/Kappa etc if people who wear smarter stuff like Rockports and Stone Island? Is YSL/RL/Prada chav too? Chav is the most overused word since gay became...gay. Mr Corish, to be fair i don't think any of us care who you hang around with, what you wear, what you get up to, what shoe size you wear and whether you fold or scrunch your toilet paper. Thanks for the insight into your life though :momaru:
  16. Sidehopping up to front wheel then gradually moving the angle around to 90 degrees to the wall may help. Think commitment, boyo.
  17. Be sure to let us know how the T-Mag goes soon!
  18. Performance wise, my X-Hydra's on a harsh-ish grind work really well, however they are wearing like a negro. Coustellier pads have a good compound but are let down by the backings that my non-existant child could have made. All my Heatsinks have been mediocre. Plazzies are awesome. Maybe i will try Koxx next? Maybe i will make a useful reply next? BTW, the long X-Hydra's are called X-Lites
  19. As nice as it is to think that Mr King is doing a good deed etc, anyone who thinks it isn't a marketing ploy is a weapon. He's a businessman, business doesn't occour by giving money away. Having said that, $2 is better than nothing.
  20. It's the bike. It'll be longer, with a longer stem and lower bars. Don't worry about it, you just have to adjust your technique. You could buy a shorter stem and riser bars if you're that worried, but that'll have a detrimental effect on your pure trials riding.
