  3. :P--> QUOTE(the big B @ Nov 24 2005, 06:28 PM) ← i guess you guys all think you "pwned" me, but that isnt a knurl. that is a grind. nice try though. Hahaha! Have you read the f**king thread?! Read the OTN thread for more than one page. It's CNC machined, there's even a section on how to do it for douchebags like you. EDIT:
  4. :P--> QUOTE(the big B @ Nov 24 2005, 12:47 AM) ← its just a really deep grind. Good luck doing that to your rim with a f**king grinder :P Anywho, basically the tool shown up there has 2 super hard rollers on it. These rollers have tiny knobbles in them. You put the object you want knurling between the 2 rollers, and use the vice action to put them together onto your object. So you've got 2 pointy rollers of a very hard material tight against your softer object (i.e a rim). You then turn the object/rim in the rollers so they make little indentations onto the surface. You keep applying pressure to the vice part to push the indentations deeper into your rim. And you basically roll the whole rim through the rollers until the whole rim is done. The indentations on the rollers push in the material of the soft rim, leaving a series of tiny mounds and depressions. Any D+T department worth their salt will have one.
  5. The great wall of China CANNOT be seen from space.
  6. I'm using Sunsilk wax at the moment, seems to work alright though it smells (and is?) a bit girly. It kinda depends on what i want to do with my hair/what my hair looks like as to what i use. I have a few tubes of that Studio FX stuff that seems to work well. Everyone has different hair types and styles that they want to achieve so i guess trying a few is a good idea :P
  7. Hmmm... One handed grinding sounds fun! I'd go for the workshop option, the metal filings are a fanny to get out of anything.. They manage to hang onto carpet pretty damn well. Or sweet talk a second year who has a shared house with a garage or something?
  8. Welding the mount on the front of the fork sounds retarded... What's your reason for this? As has been said (and you'll know if you've been doing yo' homework) it'll put way more stress on the weld for the majority of moves (i.e everything other than hooks). Good luck.
  9. Yay for the south east. Our school never shuts, due to every f**king mum having an SUV.
  10. (Y) Yeh, so i wasn't disputing the fact the legal age was 16.
  11. To do with the diaphragm in the resovoir (lever).
  12. As a general rule of thumb, many UCI riders tend to wear lighter XC type lids, and streetier riders wear piss pots. I prefere XC-type helmets.
  13. Sniffing lighter fluid has the same effects of sniffing glue - i.e making you a twat. So i think thats why, not 'cos of the smoking thing, so you can't sniff it in a park somewhere (Y)
  14. Yeh, this has happened twice to me before and once to my mate in the space of a week.
  15. Oscillating means moving backwards and forwards in a semi circular motion, like electric toothbrushes do. Rotating is moving in a circle. Anywho, doing anyhting to the top surface of the pad will work for all of about 10 mins until it's worn off and your effort is worthless. Grinds > *
  16. It's good this thread has turned into another chav thread :P FYI, cider is the drink of kings.
  17. General wear/riding: Chunk Topman H&M Duffer Fox Azonic Adidas Oakley Ben Sherman Suits/shirts/bits and bobs for school: YSL Pierre Cardin Jeff Banks Van Gils Ground level Shoes: Vans Globes
  18. I don't think this thread is about how cool his car is or whether he should have got a GTI. Ali C is not a dick. Speedy recovery for all involved is wished upon you.
  19. How did it get nicked out of interest? Did they leave it outside a shop? Or was it a robbery? Or burgulary?
  20. Maxxis Minion 2.5 Maxxpro 60a rear Continental Vertical 2.3 front :turned: to the second part of the question.
  21. Wow you have a Timberland coat?! Chain snapping and King slipping are my main/only worries - because i can't help it. If i mess up gapping to a wall, it's my own fault and i can deal with it. Oh, and rollercoasters.
  22. You have to get your weight really low and far over the bars... Look at any pic of someone doing a gap up to front and you'l see where you need to be. Have a look on Trashzen, theres a vid of myself and one of Chai doing some up to front moves. You just have to commit.

    Shit Bmx

I might have to build up my old Giant frame with random bits and risers for some fun. I generally use my Azonic jump bike for anyhting other than UCI though.
