Sorry this isn't 'first hand' experience, but my riding buddy had a rear Echo for a week and put 3 dents in it, so swapped it for a Ronnie and used the Echo as a front rim. For comparison, he hasn't dented the Ronnie in 6 months of use. Why not get a bad-ass 48mm one?

S'alright, annoying having to warm up before hand, but after 10 mins or so its fine. At the end of every ride i've ever been on, i've been really hot and had to roll my sleeves up or whatever. Either way, no one can do anything about it, so you just have to embrace it :P
