  1. Oddly I found my old Koxx Yellows to be useless, which is a bit odd as Koxx Browns and Koxx Reds were awesome. I gave up on my yellows and used the old 25mm coust pads, could never get them to work.
  2. Im also assuming a moto trials bike tyre will be a harder compound than, say, a Creepy Crawley because it would be ripped to shreds otherwise. You won't have the weight to compress the tyre to make it wrap around objects.
  3. Actually shot during the 2003 Essex Biketrial champs.
  4. A pizza shop? No, although it does fully deflate and the whole lot goes in my boot. Regarding licenses and insurance, none are required. I am insured on my boat from Craft Insure (about £50 / year) and happens to be fully comp but I mostly wanted it for third party, if I manage to chop someones leg off with the outboard. I'd imagine the chances of that with a kayak are petty low.
  5. I was looking at getting a kayak for a bit of pootling and fishing but ended up buying this:
  6. Do the course designers not think about this stuff and design around it or keep it in there and whoever spots it is just the lucky one?
  7. Dang it! Well hope it goes well anyway.
  8. Bugger we wanted to go to this but have other commitments now! Do you hold any other comps over the year?
  9. I liked it, I hope he got paid well. Good on him.
  10. Exactly, Looks like they are low pressures because they're usually on sharp edges. I lower my pressure for street.
  11. Yeah but it's no Whitehurst carbon cassette is it.
  12. Nowadays you can buy a high spec bike off the shelf and they're not that interesting, basically everyone has one. Back like 6-10 years ago you would be wowed by the pros bikes because they were custom, modified or really hard to come by. There's nothing really 'wow' out there anymore.
  13. If all else fails, try some Jitsie pads?
  14. The Highroller 2s seem to be popular, in the 3C compound. Think it's pretty dry and dusty out there at the moment so a highroller should do you well. Single ply are lighter but you may encounter more punctures, depends if you're looking at singletrack type riding or full on DH runs. It's also probably worth noting that as with all these things everyone will have their own opinions of things but I wouldn't have said you can go far wrong with any of the maxxis DH range, and pick the ones you think suit your riding the best. 15. Aids? She better check herself out.
  16. Try a bunch on as it's very personal. I used to use a Specialized S-Works helmet that was at one point the lightest in the world. I now use a mix of Giro Xar and Xen, depending on the bike.
  17. My PD130 in my Octavia has never risen above 90° but I've never in 5 years had the fan come on. Bonnet and surrounding area never even see to get warm / hot. Something is probably broken but it's not affected anything so seems all good to me.
  18. If you do make one, put a lip in it so when you tighten the freewheel onto the crank it doesnt spin round and end up in the wrong place, a la Try-All Symetrik and probably some others.
  19. Quite often need to be re-tensioned on the first ride once everything beds in, but then should be pretty much set after that. Certain headsets (like Kings) tend to need a bit more retensioning but the Echos are pretty much done after the first ride.
  20. Not tooo far from brighton and surrounding areas and not tooo far from London. You could shred Croydon! I used to go there to ride all the time, and my mates ex missus lived there. It is indeed a nice part of the world. Penshurst off road club (PORC) is like 20 mins from there at a guess? Some good dirt jumps and dh / dual tracks there. Also a bit of natural, my first ever essex comp was held there back in like 2004 or so.
  21. Yeah wellington and toad rocks, Scott Wilson has done a couple of vids there, as has Rich Pearson I believe. EDIT: Found one by Scott called 'Wellington Hoe' but I can't copy and paste for some reason.
