  1. Buy a couple pairs of each, try them, pick ones that work best and return un opened pack on return?
  2. I'd guess 99% of people on here work or are in education and are therefore 'working class' but point is if you can A afford to buy a £300+ bike for fun, B have internet and C travel about to places to ride it you must have some sort of disposable income. Can't imagine there are too many on here who are on the bread line.
  3. You pays you money, you takes you choices. Some would rather live at home with mummy and drive a nice car and go on holiday every year, some would rather buy a place and not have so many luxuries. Depends what you're after. Also I think trials is quite a middle class sport so you're probably gonna get a slightly skewed view on here.
  4. Anyone got any 5 x 100 16" alloys worth buying? Already have some 205 / 55 tyres to go on. For a mk 1 octavia if that makes any odds.
  5. Um, think you will find it is?!
  6. Thread title works excellently in a cornish accent.
  7. It's a shame that 'post a pic of your missus' thread had to be taken down
  8. Real nice ones are a cashmere / angora mix but they are $$$. As above, cotton is a great mid-range choice
  9. Bump caps designed for 'industry' ( I use that word loosely, anyone wearing a bump cap doesn't do a proper job) are ok for stuff falling on your head but don't have chin straps to stop it coming off should you fall over. With chin straps, I'd rather smash my head on concrete with a bump cap on than no helmet at all, but I'd hazard a guess and say they don't absorb as much energy as a traditional foam lined helmet, potentially leading to brain-bouncing-around-skull injuries.
  10. Because you appear to be the only rider there? Go for it, nothing stopping you organising one. You have things like the DJ ride in Portsmouth that are pretty close to you.
  11. I give thumbs up to fellow silver 2001 - 2004 Skoda octavia estate drivers when I'm in the Skoda and also freelander 1's when in the freelander. Occasionally. When I'm in a '1 life live it' mood.
  12. If you are having problems with micro notched, then yes. Worth a shot.
  13. Yes, they are. They are bigger and have more meat to them, meaning the screw doesn't deform and flatten them as much.
  14. Hard to tell, but looks like the crack was 'hidden' from any blasting by the fork legs? The steerer is set into a bit of a socket, and cracked at the base of that. If that makes any sense.
  15. Try some reverse mount forks? Dunno if they do V ones bit I'd guess reverse 4 bolts with an adaptor would be stronger.
  16. Never done it, but it 100% depends on the case. Could be hours, could be months.
  17. Because that is the joy of trials and brakes in general. Check out any brake pad thread. Certain stuff works for certain people.
  18. The condition of the benches, Shrewsburys hair and the square blocks at the tate are the main things that date this vid, badass.
  19. Could you tap the axle to accept some nicely knurled bolts?
  20. Surely thats like saying I can watch professional gay Tom Daley do a dive and therefore can go and dive exactly the same as him after he has explained it.
