  1. You won't be able to tell the difference. Someone will pipe up about anodizing and go to great lengths explaining about loss/gain of particles and shit. But it'll make no discernable difference at all. As for spokes, just go with the standard Sapim ones that Tart sends you.
  2. Atomz, Plazmatic CRM's... Plus all that have been mentioned - They'll all work. Buy some Muc-Off and you'll be sorted.
  3. Then why did mine go on a wheel with very little tension?
  4. As in too much tension pulling the hub apart? Because when mine went i can assure you there was next to bugger all spoke tension, very loose.
  5. For real... Anyway I aquired the helmet and its awesome. Well... I havn't died yet. And I've forgotten i'm wearing it three times now.
  6. So has anyone else cracked an '07 (last years ) mode? I cracked my after '06, I ruined a King and am now on an '07 Hope which has been excellent. I borrowed my brothers Deore on mavic wheel 3 years ago as my old Hope XC was in for servicing, and i competely f**ked that up within 2 days of not-exactly-going-for-every-gap trias riding. Shimano hubs belong on XC bikes.
  7. I spend an avarage of £7/month on my £10 phone, so f**k you all. I'd agree with the 'you pay for the console' comments, though.
  8. I kept to all mine because i made none.
  9. Ha, my 2 uncles and I stayed up till 3 or so drinking home-made damson gin. Drunkness ensued and good times were had. As for presents, got the usual kinda stuff that i won't bore you all with.
  10. Point 1: Its designed to be a road helmet first and foremost, not 'geared towards xc'. Point 2: Money is not an issue, as I've said. Point 3: The 2d is the lightest helmet in the world and weights 184 grams. Point 4: January sales are when things tend to be cheaper, and as ive said, money is not an issue. Thankyou for your concern.
  11. I f**ked mine over somehow, couldn't stop it skipping. Changed to a Pro2 and have had little problems.
  12. Everyone seems to be mentioning money... As i say, money is no issue. Anyway i bought one today for less than a Giro Havoc, lightest helmet in the world apparently. I'll let you know how i get on with it.
  13. Anyone use one of these badboys? http://www.evanscycles.com/product.jsp?style=23187 The price is not important for now. I'd use the peak, obviously. Anyone use one?
  14. Wedge on ~2' wall to reverse manual up to rear/front?
  15. Sweet, hows the new ride treating you Joe?

  17. Cages all the way. I havn't bent mine in a good year or so, bearings are still good and thy're as grippy as i'd ever want them to be. As long as you're not a retard/basher, they're rad.
  18. I hear you... But if there a fight where you're likely to get f**ked over, its not worth the risk in my eyes. If its a 'fair' match where the other dude (or woman, lets not be sexist) isn't tooled up then go for it.
  19. About being slashed/nose broken/shanked whatever for a bit of metal that costs a grand, thats rediculous. I've spent as much time, effort and money on my bike as anyone on here but i'd rather just get some insurance money and be out of riding for a month than to be walking round like f**king scarface the rest of my life.
  20. I'm afraid they can't... They can date any bone/organic matter in there by isotopic methods. They can't date the actual material used. I guess the pyramids are made of bricks made of sand and a cement. You can date the ago of the sand (quartz grains), but that just tells you when they were formed. Which could be millions of years before they were made into blocks by aliens/Eygptions.
