  2. Really? Ain't spent much time with him, have you?!
  3. You get what you pay for generally, though they all offer similar levels of protection.
  4. Excellent riding, though it seemed alot more uncontrolled/harsher than your previous STREET TRAINING/NATURAL TRAINING vids? What are you training for? Really liked the sidehop/down/sidehop combo moves.
  5. Theres some in Trowbridge. But its way better if you get on a train to Bristol or Plymouth, thats how the real ballers roll.
  6. My helmet weights 140g, so compared to your 'light' 800g helmet it'd be like not wearing one at all. You'll get over your fear once you keep riding and fall off a few times, realising you're more likely to fall backwards and hit the back/side of your head than fall face first. As has been said, with trials and its relitively slow speeds, you'll usually be able to get your hands out to save your face before anything untoward happens to your Hollywood smile.
  7. Good luck with it, hope it makes it to completion!
  8. What would your parents be able to do to stop some people on bikes riding round Abingdon? I mean unless its a proper organised one in a field like the previous ones, is that what you mean?
  9. Ha, yeah erm... Yeah it happens to me all the time.
  10. My Evans store was a laugh, though some of the time it was utter shite, with people coming in telling me they want to spend £100 on a full sus to get them round town, then arguing their case when I tell them thats really not what they want. But there isn't much future in Evans, I used to laugh at the Keyholders who thought they were the shit because they had 'authority' over me, then I'd go back to my nice life at uni and spend the money I earnt on going to the beach and bike parts while they earn £20g for the rest of their lives. Oh well, at least you get to knock off early if you've built all the bikes you need to?
  11. Ha, i had a dude come into work (Evans Cycles Canary Wharf in London) wearing a similar style suit one day on his BMC roadie, then a couple weeks later he had full on vintage knitted track Campag gear. He was cool. I'd rock one for sure.
  12. I pay £220 pcm with gas/electricity/water included. This is in an OK part of Plymouth (where house prices are generally fairly low anyway, South West and all) and £200-£250pcm seems about normal for around here. Matey at home lives in a slightly shit bit of London and pays £300pcm no bills included. Only you know what the house looks like inside, but from the outside it looks brand new which should eliminate some problems such as damp/security/draughts* that can be common on older properties. *If its been built properly, obviously I'd imagine there are ways of getting a house for cheaper, but the house isn't likely to be as nice. How far is the house from campus/shops/the Union? I personally opted for a closer house (3 mins/10 mins/4 mins respectively) compared to a nicer house on the outskirts. You may be different...
  13. Oh thats the real deal.

    Depression

I don't really know what you expect from a trials forum, we're not doctors... Well, not psychiatrists anyways.
  15. f**kin Interpol ain't it... Evil is the track.

    New Vid

I felt the commentry in the vid did a good job of replacing a dece song. Awww yeahh.
  17. My gf was crying so i told her to grow up and she made me a coffee.
  18. Nice family you got yourself there.
  19. I mean imagine someone now knowing as much about trials brake pads as a bunch of trials geeks on a trials website, imagine that.
  20. Evolution are my local bikeshop at home, as has been said don't bother with them, go straight to King USA. One of them told me my King wasn't skipping, because you need the same torque as a Porsche 911 to make it skip, it was actually my hub turning in the frame or some bullshit

    Pro 2

Likely you've snapped a spring, i've done it twice and its skipped each time.
  22. Its only college work, it ain't the hardest thing in the world. I'd also say that just because you quit riding trials doesn't mean you're gonna get a decent grade and most certainly doesn't mean you'll get a decent job. You can't learn EVERYTHING out of books, and you'll more than likely just find something else to take up your time instead. If you feel the need to give up trials then go for it, no one on here is gonna beg you to reconsider. I'm 90% sure you'll realise you now have no life, be resentful of the fact your course is effectively stopping you doing something you enjoy, and you'll gain very little from it.
  23. I ride street mainly because its more accessable for me. Though when i find decent natural I'd rather ride that. I've done 1 comp in my 6 years if riding and it the most fun I've had in ages. So f**k knows....
