Wouldn't bother doing anything to the frame. Some lighter rims / tyres / tubes and then forks / bars / stem / front brake will make waaay more difference.

It doesn't though... Generally worse for all 2 wheel activities including rolling stuff, taps etc. (for stocks, no idea about kids bikes)

+60 max for me. I ride a +55 at the moment which is good for most of the stuff I ride (natural) but suffers on pedally stuff compared to my old +30 bikes. I guess most people don't actually pedal at all these days.

I've just gone from a Sport to a Sport Lite and yeah I'd say go for the sport lite for sure.

Tried a stain remover? Some sort of enzyme based one might work. I'd try that first, if not then boiling water is a 50 / 50 chance, if not then get the bleach out.

Not sure on weight, never weighed it. I'd guess sorta mid - lightweight? I have a few heavy / functional parts on there like the front disk and rear tyre and steel bb etc. The place in the pics is in Devon, the place you're thinking of is up north in Yorkshire

Managed to get a ride in today despite the gale force winds and heavy rain every 2 hours. Was also riding quite wet moss covered rounded boulders in a wood so I guess that was sorta comp training or something.

Try it and see I guess... I can't sidehop for shit but if the thing I'm hopping to is uphill or flat I don't use a front brake, if it's sloping downhill I will use the brake to get the back end nice and high.
