The controversy was between Kenny and co and Gilles and co. Section 3 was damaged, so Gilles rode sections 1,2, and 4. Kenny said this gave Gilles an advantage, but the observer told Gilles to do this, and he didn't want to wait for the section to be repaired. Even if Kenny was given some points, it wouldn't be enough to make any difference to the overall score unless it was over 10 points. The making of the kicker is fair game.

Tread pattern is irrelevant because the 70a compound is HORRIBLE for anything other than cruising around dry concrete or mud. The front tyre on my 4x bike has the Maxxis 60a compound and that is noticeably less grippy than the 42a that was on it previously, in mud, intermediate and dry conditions. Anyway, I use the Continental GP4000 tyres in Black Chili compound on my road bike and thats about as grippy a tyre as I've ever had on that bike. As for on a trials bike, I'm happy with a Maxxis rear/Try-all front combo.

That was awesome, one of the best comp vids I've seen in terms of riding. The gap up to front at the start from beam to beam, and the big up to log midway through Kenny didn't quite manage were some of the biggest moves I've seen for a while.

Well it wasn't thought up by major companies, it was realised by some scientists doing research. Tons of shit gets researched, only a small proportion gets recognised because the rest is worthless and meaningless. The major companies/governments ran with the idea of global warming along with the 'shit theres a shortage of oil' farse, when actually there isn't a shortage of oil, and global warming is part of a natural cycle. Remember the Ozone layer? Who gives a shit about that now?
