My take on it is: As the rear wheel is placed on the higher holes, the bb rise will decrease (think about putting the rear wheel ontop of the seatstay instead of below) And HA will get slacker.

That was a weird video... There were some lines (drop gap to rail in particular) that were huge, then some things (like the tap, hooky things etc) that didn't seem up to the rest of the video. Either way, i enjoyed it

You've seen a 74Kingz been used tensioning up with no slack because frames have different length chainstays, people use different gearing, and some chains stretch more than others. An old mech can look good, and maybe its just my old ways but i'd rather something worked than looked good. Rohloffs can use a wide chain, may need a spacer either side of the jockey wheel though. I think everyones given you the answer (get a double wheeled tensioner), if you wanna take the (good) advice and solve your problems then do it, if not carry on with a skipping chain that may or may not sort its self out over time.

Thats why you need a double wheeled tensioner, to take up the slack. An old mech would do.

What caliper is it? If its anything but an Avid/other post mount type it won't work.

Its weird that one, as you can only use it with a tiny sprocket on the rear, and I've no idea what kind of DH rider uses singlespeed or a geared hub, seems like a bad idea to me! Anyway, my Rohloff has been nothing but sunshine and fluffy dogs tails.

Pretty sure they're designed to work with the Rohloff Speedhub (internally geared) which are found on touring bikes, commuting bikes etc., no one runs singlespeed for anything other than trials/geared hubs/some xc'ers.

Tried up tensioning it? You just need a double wheel tensioner (Rohloff style) such as a DA BOMB as its cheaper.

You need more chain wrap.

Its what I'm rolling on (well, the older version) and its been fine for a couple of years now. The only problem I've had is the disk side spokes snapping, think I went through all 14 of them because they appeared to be cheap shitty plain guage ones. Swapped them to DT's and now its golden.

Controls are pretty light, flexy forks generally. I've had a couple of pairs now, and its pretty good for wheelswaps/batmans/stuff like that as you get extra bounce out of them.
