  1. Is that mr Rankin with a near identical Yaabaa to mine?
  2. I guess if your disk tabs are on the piss it wouldn't be all that great, but you can get away with just the one pair of conical washers, making any adjustment neccesary an easy job
  3. Yeah I'm well aware of how Avids work, but if your disk tabs are flush and parallel to the dropout and therefore the hub, you could use no spacers (or 'adjusting shims') and the pads would hit flat. Just like running an ISO mount. Either way, its entirely possible to run Avids without any adjusting shims/spacers in there at all. To fit a 203 rotor into a brake with a 185 adaptor and a +20 mount, you don't need to remove all the spacers anyway, so theres no problem at all. I ran this set up for 6 months with no problems.
  4. Nothing - We have strong legs.
  5. Well you said it wouldn't work, which is wrong. But ok, if you can get hold of a 180mm thats fine, keep spacers in. If you get hold of 185, remove some spacers, thats fine. The spacers don't have any other function other than to space things out; if it doesn't need spacing, you don't have to use them.
  6. Cool, I liked the editing and music, thought it went well. Wheres that Cligga Head look-a-like place at? Looks like fun.
  7. Yah for sure, come to Plymouth on a weekend and theres bound to be someone about Plenty of beginners around to learn with too.
  8. Is it your crank or your pedal? Grab the crank arm to turn it, not your pedal.
  9. Multi purpose vehicle? People carrier? Renault scenic stylee
  10. Have you considered entering the Tour De France?
  11. Whats wrong with Maxxis Minions, pretty much the most common trials tyre going?
  12. Its also f**king massive and usually has a Shell flag flying from the top. For the geologists among you its made of oolitic sandstone. If you get to Charing Cross you've gone too far, but hopefully will have looked out of the left hand side of the train and saw all the trials riders.
  13. Get the outer shell apart fro mthe rest of it Get something (small screwdriver for example) to prise the black C-clip away from the bearing, should pop out with a bit of a fiddle. Push the bearing out. Done.
  14. It does work, I ran it on pretty much the same set up (trialtech forks) and you just take out a couple of spacers to move the caliper in slightly.
  15. Or if you wanna carry on being a basher, get a Dual Ply Maxxis/Michelin Comp24/Continental Rain king/Der Kaiser and run whatever tube you like. If you still puncture you either need to run higher pressure and/or stop being a basher.
  16. Good stuff, the hook up the pillar thang looked pretty horrible!
  17. Maybe its just me, but I have a life outside of trials, and OT is great and all, but not really the same. If every thread got pigeon holed into an umbrella topic, it would become more of a database than a forum, which isn't all that great.
  18. Different adaptor, probably one designed for a 180mm rotor then add a spacer or 2 to get it to sit the extra 1.5mm away from the hub.
  19. I'm glad so many people from Devon are going, its gonna be just like a Copthorne ride.
  20. Personally I'd just leave it, if it cracks then reweld it, but for the moment I can't see much wrong with it.
