  1. Understood. Yeah I don't think theres anything special about them.
  2. Er.... Yeah, i know what they are. I was just talking about the name being Hope Mono Try-All not Hope Mono Trial. A pretty funny jape I think you'll agree.
  3. Rohloff is best bet, they were like £25 new on ebay a little while ago. The Tensile/Try-All Rohloff copy looks pretty good, though I've never used one. Any sprung double wheeled tensioner (even an old tensioner) seems to be the best bet, my old 74Kingzzzzzzzz was ok but splipped (Edit: splipped? Whatever) without enough chain wrap, and i bent a load of springs and thought it was pretty expensive for what it was.
  4. Looks like a standard Hope Mono Try-All* with Formula rotor. Even with a 160mm rotor (what Kenny uses) if you get your weight over the front enough it'll be plenty for gaps to front or whatever. *Is this what they're called? If not they should be.
  5. Yeah I'll be out on my super sick sweet ultra cool Yaabaa.
  6. My Magura slave cylinders are like 4 years old, run on water all their lives, still amazing.
  7. Pretty much been covered, but I use meths to burn the pads and clean the rotor which gets any shit out. Then find a hill and put mud on the pads/rotor and do short sharp stops then wash it off with water.
  8. Yeah theres usually someone about at weekends, and we're out most evenings when its dry. Don't worry about being a beginner or whatever, theres a range of complete beginner riders to ok riders in Plymouth
  9. If you've only just realised you want to go to this, Can you enter on the day by filling out the ACU license and paying the money (£9?) and ride the trial?
  10. If you span the mono twice as fast as the pro2 they might sound a bit more similar, stretch the springs on the mono and they get a bit more similar again.
  11. Kenny and Vince pissed it, as did Brett Penfold.
  12. Cheers to TTownJohn for filming and editing, vid was sweeet.
  13. Yeah but if Rob does come he's in for a treat and Sprog knows it! I too am a maybe.
  14. We were too busy either dicking around with tape measures, riding, or getting pissed off after getting our swell on and throwing our helmets.
  15. Could you rattle out these names please?
  16. Also if you feel like you might want to sell it on i nthe future, the ISO shell adds value because you can sell it to XC'ers/DH'ers who will want to use a disk brake.
  17. I too would like to thank Stephen Morris and Tim Rodriguez for reuniting me with my Napolion Dynamite DVD four years later.
  18. Yeah he should be banned for comments like that, what a cant.
  19. His back wheel loved that shit.
  20. Good times, pretty glad we had a decent ride Saturday 'cos Sunday got pretty rediculous with so many people and getting kicked off every five seconds! Glad to see so many people out though, and nice to see people I've not seen for years. Cheers!
  21. In my 3rd year here now, really like it! Can't really say a bad word about it to be honest, not a whole lot i'd change. Everythings walking distance, night life is fairly good, 7859474 trials riders and loads of stuff to ride, by the sea, by Dartmoor (best riding ever), course is good, generally a good place (some of it is shit don't get me wrong, but any cities have the good and bad, and you can stay away from the shit), pretty good shopping centre and that. And its Devon, what more could you ask for. Having said that, I'm sure some people hate it, but in my opinion its great.
