  1. f**ks sake... Could you two stop the little jabs at each other. How would you improve them Andrew?
  2. Not really, I prefer browns over Cousts, and I agree, what does it matter if he uses his own pad or not? He has done for years, just because theres one pic of him not using them, it doesn't mean anything.
  3. Easiest to learn on sloped edges, to get the feeling right. I usually bang the front wheel into the top just off the corner of the wall. Learning on sloped rocks makes it easier. It doesn't need to hit hard at all, its more about timing and a knack than anything.
  4. Where are you exactly? Couple of riders in the Bromley area.
  5. No idea how much my bike weighs, I do take notice (alloy bolts, try-all carbon bars, ti axles etc) but run a heavyish frame (Yaabaa 1499) because I like the geo and its solid. Definately function over weight, but if a light weight part will do the job well, then I'll buy it.

    Help

Word.. Is it a HD axle or standard?
  7. Because when you're ill you dunno how long you're gonna be ill for? Because he's a professional rider, its his job? Because he may not have been ill when he put his bike on the plane to go out there?
  8. Right on, fair enough. In that case you'll be fine with whatever tyre.
  9. Had the same pillars and shit in the place I went to in Turkey, looked good. Was HOT though.
  10. Just a heads up, Fitzroy has printers you can use, just supply your own paper, free otherwise.
  11. I think Tim Rodriguez used to ride in Kingston, might be worth a pm?
  12. Do you usually ride on street or the rock sea defenses around Worthing/Brighton etc? I'm just saying that for anything thats not perfectly level (i.e rocks) the RQ is a pretty bad tyre because of its width/height making it want to roll around all over the shop. Try a sidehop off the side of a sloped rock and see what happens. If they work for you then fine, just sayin.
  13. They're not that puncture resistant to be honest, but they have a taller carcass so handle it better.
  14. Get a Maxxis minion or highroller (makes no difference) in super tacky dual ply if you don't fancy the investment in a der kaiser. In my humble opinion rubber queens are garbage unless you're a beginner and dont ride on anything too technical or are an elite rider and are only after light weight,
  15. Not trying to be a dick here but Bjorn competes in elite, unless you do too, advice on his bike probably isn't going to help alot. I would imagine he knows what works best for him.
  16. So I read in Dirt magazine there is a 2.2 black chili folding RQ available. Anyone seen somewhere that sells it? Sound like it'd be an ideal dryish conditions front tyre, with a weight much less than a Try-All and fairly grippy. Anyone got any info?
  17. What cranks/BB is it? On ISIS bbs you can sometimes get away with 2 5 pence pieces used as wedges to push the crank puller against. Try and find someone who knows what they're doing.
  18. That frame is still going? Jeepers.
  19. As a South West rider, I'm stoked on life.
  20. I ride on things that arn't perfectly flat therefore slicks are useless.
