  1. SL if you can afford it, but the TRs are really good too

Finishline Wet lube. But really any 'wet' type lube will be fine. Not: wd40/gt85, or the wax type dry lubes.

Oil it up and yeah it would sound louder. Is it definately a pro2 not an XC?
  4. Whack it up then sonny jim.
  5. Well you dont have to go far outside of Moretonhampstead to be on some snazzy natural at Bone Hill/Kelly Farm/any other tor around there.
  6. Sounds like pads catching on the pad spring/caliper body or cylinder sticking or master cylinder sticking.
  7. Portland, West Bay, Lyme Regis are the main ones.
  8. Post a video of yourself riding.
  9. I'd imagine they do, considering most people in trials have snapped chains but not many have blown up freewheels.
  10. Will it not twat out the end if all the threads are that buggered? Should be fine with the steel pedal and fooked alu crank. Just seen the Tartybeys do a crank helicoiling service now if thats any use to you?
  11. Echo SL. Every other freewheel is inferior.
  12. Which shop are you taking it back to?
  13. Maybe get an adult to help you.
  14. Either they're 20" or they're talking shit. Either way they'll be useless for trial du monde.
  15. Schwalbe Big Bettys are ok too, but expensive for the decent compound.
  16. I've always put a wedge of plastic/wood in to stop them moving as I always take the pads out when bleeding anyways so they dont get contaminated. Always worked for me.
  17. I used to run them back in the day when nothing else was available, seemed fine back then. Ran one on a bike about 2 years ago and it was noticeably slippy and puncture prone compared to even a Maxxis ST, let alone a Conti DK/RK. Maybe try a 2.2 Conti rubber queen or 2.5 / 2.35 singlewall maxxis minion ST from Tarty
  18. If other shops had the range, expertise, price and service of that well known shop run by that well known cute Adam fellow then fair enough, people would buy from them. But there isn't.
  19. All sounds good, but I'd think a donation box thang/someone dedicated to taking donations would be better as not many people know what you look like, you're bound to be busy etc, far more people would sling it in a box in an easy to find location than wander round on the off chance they meet you. Also people may only have their wallets/money to hand on registration/entry rather than when they're actually riding.
  20. Think I'm heading down Friday eve beys.
  21. Set mine up just now on 18:15 with a 2 month old chain and standard maggie mounts, works fine but could do with another 5mm travel in brake mounts. Running a DK so clearance is tight like a tiger.
  22. Nowadays it makes bugger all difference with alot of people using horizontal dropouts so theres no mech hanger to smash off. Will be better for some lines being a lefty and better for some being a righty. Neither is 'better'
