  1. He was using some La Sportive ones at some point. Think they're like trail running/bouldering shoes or something. I like 5 10s.
  2. Not tried the trial queen but I'd imagine its worse for puncture resistance and stability, but better on weight and the same on grip. If you can live with the less stable tyre and possibly more punctures the Trial Queen would be great.
  3. I've been through 3 of each RKs and DKs and to be honest there is no noticeable grip difference. I went with a RK this time because it comes in slightly narrower at the tread due to the side knob design, and i needed the clearance. You can't go wrong with either. They definately outlast Maxxis Super Tackys.
  4. I know next to nothing about computers, but if you can get away with a laptop then do it. The amount of times I moved it was rediculous. Then you dont have to be the sad b*****d who sits in his room all day, you can sit in other peoples rooms with the tinterwebs, play music on it in communal areas, watch films on it in communal areas etc etc.
  5. Ok just seen this Facebook link for all intrestetedededed LIKE A BOSS
  6. Uhhh... so this is next weekend, are there any actual details on it? Start time, location, etc etc.
  7. Just practise... Theres nothing you can buy, say or do to make you hop higher. Just practise hopping higher and you'll get there, slowly.
  8. I like five tens for their grip, but others get away with skate shoes, others prefer ribos etc.
  9. We had to go early because we all felt like shit but the time we did have was good, hope y'all had fun.
  10. What colour? What kind of stickers?
  11. If you get real bored you can make up some wooden boxes, fill with concrete, take box off, then arrange these concrete blocks about to gap to/from/whatever. Railway sleepers can be found sometimes on the cheap from farmers. If your area wasn't affected by foot and mouth many farmers may have loads of sleepers lying about. Many farmers were forced to buy these sleepers to use as fuel for burning the culled cattle. If you didnt get foot and mouth in your area, they'll still be lying about. Histroy lesson for you too, 2 for 1.
  12. I was in Radnor block 6. Kept one in the big brick block by the laundry block, and one in the glass shed across the road. I said mine was a road bike so I could keep the trials bike in the brick shed as its probably more secure - No windows to see in and that.
  13. I never had a tv but still got the letters telling me I needed a tv license. I ignored them, no one ever came round, so I'd imagine even if I did have a tv I'd be fine. Try and keep your bike in your room if possible (as has been said). I managed to keep 2 bikes in 2 seperate secure sheds in Plymouth with no probs at all. A couple of friends also kept bikes in there with no problems. We're pretty lucky though.
  14. I run mine for about 3 months in the summer, 4 in the winter.
  15. Yeah, dogshit was a bit strong haha - Strength wise they seem fine. No complaints on reliability at all.
  16. The bearings are pretty dogshit... They rattle when they're new outta box. Although as has been said its easy to flush them out and relube with wet lube. Its fine riding in the rain. I ride alot in pretty sandy environments and its been fine with the odd flush out and re-lube.
  17. Try another bleed... Unless its some sorta odd thang going down its 99% gonna be a bad bleed. Theres air in there somewhere brah.

Bauce... Up to white roman style pillar thang looks tricky.
  19. Yeah been pretty bad eh... Thats a shame. Still, who knows with Plymouth, might be a minter.
  20. The weather looks dogshit - Whos gonna be there?
  21. Just gotta keep going... They'll turn from blisters into calluses in no time. You and your missus should get used to them, as they'll be around for your whole trials career. Gloves and soft grips (soft rubber or foam) will help, but once they harden up there'll be no pain and oh so much gain.
  22. Welcome Sounds like you're in good company, pretty much everyone on the forum is into their cars and alot are into photography stuff too. Take a look in the chit chat section.
