  1. Is it a copy? Does your computer have more than one drive and are you putting it in one that is actually a DVD drive and not a cd drive? (speaking from experience)
  2. If it's the heavy footedness you're worried about, why not take up ballet? Take up boxing as well. You'll soon be flying like a butterfly and stinging like a bee.
  3. Yeah you are right they are shit, just get some normal HT steel bolts thought off of another unused bike part, there are bound to be some somewhere knocking about in a bike enthusiasts garage. Most of the people I know have replaced them, although sometimes a washer is needed to sit behind the head of the screw to make it reasonable big so as not to pull through.
  4. CONCENTRATE!!!! B) Or if this is what you have trouble with, drink red bull 24/7 or take speed. These will increase your awareness of your surroundings and you will learn how to climb walls faster.
  5. Tis true what you say, but the word Commonrail is just a word ford's marketing department came up with to sell ITS range of the new generation of diesels. TDI's, Turbo Diesel Injection, Valkswagen's equivilant of Fords TDCI have been around since ~2000 for the latest most refined design. Check out the specs of the 105bhp version, they are not ^quite^ as good but very comparable to the TDCI's in fuel economy and performance, even though it is a 1.9 as opposed to a 1.6. My point is that there are other good diesels around besides those that are Commonrail (ford). In fact I've heard that peugeot have some good offerings, but havn't looked into them personally. The 'new generation' of diesels refers to the change in design, moving away from lorry diesel designs. In lorrys, vaporisation of the fuel is done in a separate chamber before being let into the piston. As Bucky O'Hare said, the new one's use injectors to vaporise the fuel as it enters the piston, like a petrol engine. Great stuff. The diameter of the injector at the end that the fuel comes out of is around 0.2mm! (Y) The TDI engine by VW is the same as the one in any Seat, Audi, or Skoda by the way, as thay are all the same company. Well, group of companies.
  6. I find that shift disables the tooltip from popping up. Seems it is due to the title="" bit in the anchor tag (in HTML, the anchor tag, a, is what you use to create links). Here is the code: <a href="http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/blahblah..." title="Edit my settings, such as signature, avatar and more..."> Interesting find, or would be if I made websites any more! (Y)
  7. That's a nice car, just don't 'do it up'! Wheels are all that improves a cras image IMHO, and then you have to be real careful that your choosing some that look good.
  8. Only just seen it, makes me literally sick to the stomach. That is in-humane. It is clearly not right.
  9. Hmm yeah my sister has that problem for some reason, but only when playing videos from the mapped network drive, not from any local drive. Are you the same, or are you getting the problem from a local drive? Try downloading Gordian Knot codec pack or whatever its called and reinstalling all the filters and codecs to see if that fixes it. Can't tell you how/if it's fixed on the other computer as I simply can't be arsed to ask the computer illiterate know-it-all. :(
  10. Good entertainment! But am I the only one that watches that and thinks 'Chav with a hobby'? :(
  11. Ah sorry yeah it is 1.6l then. Knew it was one of those two. It is Turbo Diesel Commonrail Injection... but turbo itself stands for 'Turbine powered supercharger', hence the full name. Oh shit sorry i said intercooler first didn't I! :"> :'( Nah it's Turbine powered supercharger. What they wanted to do was to force more air into the cylinders, so they invented the supercharger. It was powered off the drive shaft, and span a fan to force air into the cylinder. But because it ws powered off the drive shaft it took power away from the engine (as well as increasing it (net increase)). Then they thought, look, you could spin this using a turbine using the torrent of exhaust fumes travelling away from the engine. Hence the turbine powered bit. Then shortened to TURBO. Then they used the word for everything like street fighter turbo and stuff ^_^ :- . They still use superchargers on certain cars, but they are less efficient, the advantage of them being that you dont have to wait for the exhaust pressure to be high so that the turbo 'spins up' (turbo lag), seeing as they are powered off the drive shaft. A twin-turbo system where one of the turbo's is smaller means that the smaller turbo spins up faster and gives some boost before the ker-chonga second one gives full boost. They do twin turbo systems where both turbos are the same size though, the reason for this being that turbo's get VERY hot when compressing the massive amounts of air that they do (hence what intercoolers are for) and the twin turbos share the air compressing to massive air huingry engines. It all makes so much sence doesnt it!? A high percentage of the energy output of an engine is wasted as heat and pressure in the exhaust system, and a turbo makes use of this!
  12. Diesel is the way to go, definately. My friend has the new 1.5 tdci focus (new new) and it pulls like anything. Real nice drive. But the best part? Averages 62mpg. Yes, 62. I get 45mpg out of the punto 1.2 8v. And the focus is so much faster. Diesel is the shit. By the way, TDCI stands for: Turbine powered intercooler Diesel Commonrail Injection. Fact of the day!

    Emo?

Man thats deep. Sure you're not emo?
  14. I would never have guessed! ;) Thank god I don't have to dodge flys in my car now. I knocked down twelve walls and killed 16 pedestrians today alone. Edit: It would be good though, if you could say arm police helicopters with flys in a big cage and when there is a car chase they release the flys and the rotors blow them down onto the road bringing the car to an imediate halt. This shit could save lives. We need more people like me on the force.
  15. Thats what it's all about. My punto was expensive yeah, but its top of the range 'dynamic' with alloys and air con, it looks all right, and i'm leaving it totally standard. That way i'm not going to be SPENDING money DEVALUEING the car by attatching snow ploughs and shit to it. It does 0-60 in 13.9 seconds for f**ks sake, when is it going to need a spoiler? I will sell my punto for ~£3,000 when i'm 22 and buy an Evo or something. The Audi A4's are fast, but I doubt they are as fast as an evo? Anyone know the figures? Off the top of my head I think the evo VIII's go 0-60: standard 240(or 260 cant remember)bhp - 5.8 through to the fastest FQ340 (340bhp) - 4.9 What's an A4 like?
  16. The fly is squashed against the front of the train while it is stopped. Therefore seeing as they are attatched they are travelling at the same speed. Stopped. Approaching the speed of light like this, time from the perspective of the fly would slow down. This is to avoid the sum of the velocities (speeds) of other objects in the universe and the fly being greater than the speed of light, which is relativity. At the speed of light, therefore, time would have to stop to avoid the train and any other particle from having an observed (by the fly) relative speed of greater than the speed of light. The fly stopped the train by stopping time
  17. This has to be something to do with the graphics card. Go display properties-->settings-->advanced and see if there is anything in there. Obviously on your laptop the display is going to be LCD or TFT so it isnt a mis-aligned CRT projection. And you say around the rotated screen is BSOD blue so it isnt that the screen has physically rotated inside the casing somehow. And the screen takes its signal in horizontal scan lines so and it would take another processor in between your graphics card and your screen to perforn the rotation. My thought is that your graphics card is outputting the signal that way for some reason. Like i said check the settings.
  18. It gave me EDIT:cod eye  sorry moment of inconsideration feel guilty now :-
  19. It's mating season! More people are born around march than any other time!
  20. Elephant.co.uk was my cheapest, and confused.com didn't figure it out. Basically i think there are a few flaws in the way confused .com searches, and it isnt perfect.
  21. Just about to go out to a bbq and the sky is black as anything already. Can't wait i'll go dancing in it if it chucks it down it's red hot and sticky as anything - no good for riding.

    Food

Just something to think about here if you're bored tonight :) :( : How big would the pile of food be that I have eaten in my whole life? Just how much have I chomped, chewed, guzzled, and downed in my 19 years of living? Would it fill a skip? Would it fill a swimming pool? How much would it weigh? Considering I am now reaching a time of life where I stop growing, just how much food did it take me to get me to my 0.078 metric tonne body mass today? And would a fat person have eaten more or less? :) Anyone care to comment?
  23. Spring, mating season, you are all threats to my herd of females (N) (Y) :D
  24. Yeah that was me. She was on 56k too! So you can forget that junk about massive file servers it doesn't matter on the connection! Just getting caught. She used kazaa. But limewire is also monitored. Be warned  It wont be long before somebody on here gets done i bet you! EDIT: Just thought i'd add that her fine was only £2,000 because she shared less files. It goes up in tiers dependant on the number of files shared. And it is not a fine, but an out-of-court settlement. To be able to fight it you must reject this settlement and go to court and risk the full fine for your 'crimes' which will be in the tens of thousands.
