  1. nothing wrong with a mission reefer! for those of us that cant afford £300+ frames!!!! (BTW: ive got one too )
  2. why would you want to get all muddy? sure concrete may be harder when you come off, but its a hell of alot nicer to ride on (BTW: i used my mission reefer for street/dirt/jump and it was very strong and light too but i wouldnt recommend it!)
  3. damn, mine where only a tenner, look like V8's, have the same pins in the same places etc etc. the only gripe's ive had are: 1/ they rip your shoes to shreds 2/ the paint wears off quickly! next up: a £9 pair of double-cage pedals! bring on the budget bike! Quasi_mojo: testing cheap crap, buying cheap crap, using cheap crap, eating cheap crap and ultimately riding cheap crap....
  4. not sure now, need some serious servicing (on my bike) and possibly a new chain... oh well, i could just come down with the camera and watch for abit
  5. at least he'd find a use for his rusty WW1 trench digging spade...
  6. Id rather dig that nice box-sized hole for him, then use the mud for a jump...then he can lay there and shout abuse while we sail over head...counting down his final hours...till the crows get him.
  7. Me and Dooey (should be dewey...sort it out chris!) are always getting dirty looks and sly comments from the elderly, particularly some random bint who likes to talk about landmines (???)
  8. A sticker on my frame reads 'My other ride is your daughter', that always gets attention. A police woman told me to stop doing 'skids and funny sh*t' or she'd confiscate my bike for being a 'menace to the towns people' (who the hell still talks like its 1901?) Random chavv insults culminating in a large scale ruckass on the seafront, Mods and Rockers style.... that was fun.
  9. that was sweet, good editing and good riding! enjoyed watching that, gave me a break from work
  10. let me sort my back wheel out, then i'll bring the lads too! probably get 3 more guys to add to the party!
  11. crickey, forgot about this post!!! its the right one ordered from mission themselves, it just seems a little thicker than the one before, in the end i ground it down with the grinder, all was good, until a few weeks later when i bent the frame.... problem solved.
  12. first off, hello to you all! my gripe has begun with a replacement mech hanger (i snapped the last one pedalling up a steep slope??? i belive it may have been my tensioner's fault) which doesnt seem to fit properly, it doesnt sit flush in the frame and seems to be pushing my wheel out to the point where the tyre rubs the chainstay! im wondering if anyone else has had similar experience of this and what you did to cure the issue? im reluctant to go hacking away with an angle-grinder, could it weaken the hanger? cheers lads, and lets hope we get a few dry days this winter...
  13. I've been using an LX front V with a BMX lever, works lovely, but i would say that because i have to make do at the moment, rear maggie is essential, although one of my riding buddies uses a rear disk (the frame cant accomodate his huge try-all rim!), with abit of cola on it works lovely too... i think my front V is lighter than a maggie with a booster, but i don't really use the front brake that much! try using bikes with different brake configurations and see which you like best...at the end of the day its your bike...
