Welllllll it's just before the XP logo comes up. Either way, one hard drive is better than non. My laptop is virus checkered to the nuts so that's all good. Firewall is tighter than a camels ass in a sandstorm too (not that it matters - just wanted to use the phrase). Thanks everyone .

It's been months since I've tried it as I have a new laptop, although I seem to remember it turned on as always and just died when it got to the Windows XP loading screen coming up with some message or other (very vague I know haha). I would be a bit gutted if the primary drive was fooked although the older stuff is on the ancient 10GB secondary drive, so either way it needs to be done.

Cheers chaps, very much appreciated! There’s years of unedited footage and photos dating back to the 90’s I’d hate to lose.

The problem is that my old desktop PC is knackered. I have no way of getting the data off the HDDs (as they're in the old PC which is royally fooked) and on to my laptop. Not too bothered about the data going through my laptop on to the ext HDD but I can't see from a hardware perspective how I'm supposed to access the old HDDs. EDIT: I've been told there's things called 'encasements' you can plug internal HDDs into and then transfer data via USB cable. Is this right? Doesn't seem like the right name for 'em .

Hi, I've googled this with little success so I thought I'd ask here. Basically, I have two old hard drives in an old desktop computer that’s entirely knackered. One is a really old 10gb drive (secondary) from donkeys years ago and the other (primary) is about 6 years old and about 120gb I seem to remember. Basically, I’m not entirely sure whether the demise of my old PC was due to the primary hard drive giving up, but that’s kind of immaterial as I’ve got a new(ish) laptop now. What I need to do is get the data off these two old HDDs and onto my new external HDD, but I don’t have a desktop PC to connect these drives to and I don’t want to start dicking around with my friends setups. Is there any other way of doing this? Jon

My iPod Nano doesn't actually go loud enough for me. If you plug the same headphones into a standard iPod they put out a lot more noise.

I used Sennheiser PX 100's and they're bangin.

You add it to the basket and it comes to £25. He got some breakfast stuck under the 5 key this morning.

I just hope they stick to their price match promise if I can find them cheaper elsewhere.

I used to have dread and I found them a nightmare to ride with. Didn't really bother me too much at the time as riding wasn't at the top of my agenda during that period of my life. One of my friends has massive fat ones. He's just started getting into trials and is (after 5 years growth) considering cutting them because he finds them too heavy to ride with and gets far too warm. I don't regret having them, but I certainly wouldn't have'em again. Now I'm just short and boring. Fits perfectly with my office job (yawnnnnnnn).

Yeah, I know you weren't. Thing is with something like trials-forum (especially chit-chat) maintaining consistency between warnings and suspensions is difficult as the people who are monitoring posts are all different. There's only so far you can take it before it gets stupid. To be fair, I think this forum has gone through phases of under-regulation and over-regulation (and over complication). Personally, recently all the sub-forums have pissed me off and I think it's become like the bike-trials forum (which is why I started using TF all those years ago). Unless you're constantly on the search tool it can be very hard to find what you're looking for. It's not something I'd kick off about as it's not exactly the end of the world. For those over-complicators; go and hire a lawyer (and pay the bill). We can have a water-tight trials-forum post regulatory system. Then there will be a million and one more hoops to jump through and posts to poke holes in.

I think there's an adjustable ban if it's deemed suitable. To be fair, I can't remember and don't really care (not to sound offensive towards you). EDIT: Yeah, as Luke said - beat me to it you snake

One warning and there's no suspension. Warning Level Penalty 1 (min) 1 day posting suspension 2 2 day account suspension 3 3 day account suspension 4 4 day account suspension 5 (max) Lifetime ban (above is copied badly from the guidelines tab). Anyway, people should just be nice to each other. That doesn't mean that there can't be disagreements, but there's no need for below the belt bullshit. Who cares anyway? This is an internet forum. Don't you guys have lives? Innnnnnteeerrrneeet foooorrrrum. I for one do not miss modding one bit. Those who are begging to become mods are blatently power-hungry/bullied at school. J P.s. I have an office job, that is my excuse for excessive use.

I did find that the usual 36 hour after aches didn't last as long when eating right/drinking the mixes. They were definitely handy for getting back in the gym sooner and pain free. I actually kind of like the aches (got them today actually). Gives me a feeling of satisfaction that I've actually achieved something.

We'd do it in colour of course. EDIT: I like the boat in the background too.

What is your metabolism like? Mine is ridiculously fast so I find building muscle pretty hard. I can eat literally anything without any effect, and weight train till the cows come home and it makes shit all difference. About a year ago I went on a mad one with the gym. I devised a schedule (loosely based upon something I found on some bodybuilding forum) and was training 3 - 4 times a week, bashing the recommended dose of ProMax, cutting out my cardio exercise entirely and ate lots of red meat and high protein foods. The first month I actually lost a very small amount of weight and then the other three virtually nothing happened. After four months I just went back to my old mix of a few weights and a fair bit of cardio.

I'll be happy with the time off (although more than a couple of days is looking unlikely) and some peace and farking quiet. My Christmas is going to be spent cramming for exams anyway .

These guys used to stock them, but as mentioned I don't think they're produced any more.

When you're with someone you share experiences, become close, tell each other stuff etc. It's not just whether they've got a cock or not. You're missing the point, and if you can't see what I'm saying by now then there's no point in furthering this conversation as we're obviously talking at cross purposes. -
What Do The Police Have Agaist Trials Riders ?
Papa Manual replied to higgzGU!'s topic in Trials Chat
Unfortunately this is a common problem, especially in small places. I think the best thing you can do is just be as nice and polite to them as possible so that the next time you come across them they'll respect you more for it. Hopefully in future they'll relax their stance towards you. A lot of coppers power-trip and showing them respect makes them feel important. Being belligerent can just cause the problem to escalate. It's all just games . I got stopped for riding down a deserted pedestrianised area at 11 pm on Monday night. Guernsey's equivalent of a community support officer jumped out at me and started shouting "off off off!" and then proceeded with the lights, bell, pedestrianised area bullshite. As much as I wanted to give this jumped up cow a piece of my mind I just took it all and went on my way (without a fine). I "took this as my warning" haha. -

Exactly. Nothing I can do, and I guess it's not really anything to do with me anymore. No point in letting it bother me I suppose. Good luck to my mate having to put up with her . Not in the slightest and I'm sorry if I came across that way. Talking about sexuality is probably one of the last things that'd wind me up. I just didn't see how it had anything to do with what I was moaning about. Anyway, it's Friiiiiday . -

The guy she came to my birthday with was another bloke (who she was with for just over a year). I got on fine with him and I did truely feel for her when he messed her about (and then broke up with her very harshly). Anyway, never mind, I guess I will just have to deal with it. I can see how you may think that, but it's not jealousy (I'm pretty sure!) as I've never felt like I want to be back with her or anything similar. I guess I am maybe being a little over-sensitive as she used use my friends against me in arguments, especially a couple of them including my best mate. I was accused of being led astray by them, not seeing her enough because of them, bad influence on me etc. ARGH I guess might not be thinking logically...I don't know . It's odd how she's been out of my life for two years and then comes crashing back in, but for such an unexpected reason. I just need to think about it perceptively I suppose. After hearing peoples opinions it seems that it's entirely my problem and they should just be left to it. Still, headf**k. -

What difference does my sexuality make? If your best friend is seeing your ex it's as simple as that. It's just not on. -
I had one of these and it was indestructable. It even went in the sea and survived.
