  4. I've been asked to post on here the offer of a free lift to Shipley from the Buxton / Stockport area for either 2 riders, or a rider and an observer. If you want to come and need transport, give George a call on 01298 73845.
  5. Once again we draw the competition year to a close at the brilliant venue of Shipley Glen on 4th October. Check out the "Events" page on www.biketrialuk.co.uk to either download a paper entry form or to pay and enter on-line. If you're on our mailing list then your form should arrive by post on Tuesday/Wednesday. British Cup series results to date are available to check here --- points are looking close in all classes for those top places! If the past two years at this venue are anything to go by it will be a really good day for everyone of all abilities, so get your entries off as soon as possible. Look forward to seeing everyone there!
  6. Because of the high number of pre-entries in the blue route intermediate class, we have decided, for this event and as a trial for the future, to split the class. The intermediate class will still ride the blue route, but the results at the event will be separated into two age categories: Age 16 and under, and age 17 and over. (The overall results for the whole of the intermediate class will be used when calculating points for the series year end.)
  7. Pre-entry list now available - late entries are being accepted - everyone welcome for a really good trial! Don't forget the offer of a free lift from Buxton/Stockport area! See you on Sunday
  8. Entries are now coming in for ... time to be sending your's off!
  9. Ok, I have been updated now. Joe has apparently already contacted one of my colleagues, who has spoken to British Cycling on his behalf. Joe has apparently been given full information on British Cycling's decisions in their selection process.
  10. As I said, I only got back from holiday last night. I will phone Roger on Monday for more information. Barbara
  11. Thanks for the link to that accurate list Sam. I have been away on holiday this week, just got back tonight, Roger may have tried to contact me, I will be in touch with him on Monday for more information. However, in the meantime, there is one slight inaccuracy in what you say Jack ... Quote from the UCI Selection Policy:- "British Cycling will pay for the cost of appropriate team clothing for all riders and staff. A Team Manager and Assistant Team Manager will be appointed and a nominal payment will be awarded for both roles. The appointed team will not be known until selection has been finalised." Full UCI Selection Policy here Barbara
  12. Whilst the organisers and helpers have done their utmost to find a new venue in the south of the country for this round (and have a couple lined up for next year), the final decision, to retain the quality of our venues, is to use the old favourite of Brimham. I think these pictures say it all ... photos of our last event there Entry forms will be in the post to everyone on our mailing list tomorrow but can be downloaded HERE On-line payment and entry are available from HERE Hope to see you all there!
  13. We received confirmation of entries last night here Good luck to everyone.
  14. Ozzy and others; By entering on line all other aspects of admin, insurance etc, are coverered - you do not need a licence for our events, so minimal red tape, just enter and ride. We expect a huge turn out at this comp, it would a great help if those that intend to come submit their entries in good time. Fred Savage.
  15. No licences - no membership - just send off the entry form.
  16. New topic concerning Blackpool National awaiting upload by moderators – watch this space..
  17. It only feels like a matter of days since “the team” were building sections and running control in Fort William, now you can look forward to what has become a rider’s favourite, midge free Blackpool! This event is Round 3 of the British National Trials Cup 2009 will be held on 12th July at Blackpool's North Shore Moon Rocks - this is the famous "no tape trial"! All the usual facilities will be available – loos, cafe + ice cream and of course the local beauty queen will be there to present the awards, so please clean your teeth! Don't miss this excellent venue - there'll be sections suitable for all ages and all abilities - not to mention the UCI World Downhill Cup round going on at the same time - loads of spectators, and loads of trade stands for a really good atmosphere! Your trial competition entry fee includes free entry passes to the bigger event for both you and your minder. The Saturday is the second round of the British National Trials Cup 2009 with points earned towards the year end title, and on Sunday a one-off one day British National Trials Championship. Both events will be run according to the Biketrial Federation rules and British Cycling will use the results from this event when planning UCI World event entry selection. Hope to see you all there! www.biketrialuk.co.uk PS: Make sure you get your entry form off in good time! Paper entries must be received no later than the closing date (Wednesday 3rd June) as we will be travelling to Scotland the following day so your entry wouldn't be received. On-line entry will be removed on the closing date. Note: We originally thought that riders on the Sunday would have to be selected from Saturday's winners due to time limitations - re-negotiation means that everyone can now ride on both days.
  19. Four out of five rounds to count for overall results. Documents available on www.biketrialuk.co.uk We would expect to receive the criteria for UCI Worlds sometime next week.
