I made that hahaha and it doesn't use the mech hagner, I just bolt it with the wheel, then to make sure it doesn't move, I squezed a piece of plastic (from a plastic dinosaur) between the chain stay and the spoon.

2 weeks, I basicly posted a how-to and got validated right there.

I think it's because you use a sword with the right hand normaly, so you are in a better position to slice people coming from the other direction. I probably am wrong, I'm not from the UK...

I have thought of changing my name, my name is Louis, and since I live in french province, everytime someone say's "oui" (yes) I'm like yes since both words sound the same. So it gets fairly anoying in public spaces and well if someone screams my name because he's looking for me, chances are I won't turn around... If I had to change it, I would probably choose some spanish name just because they sound so awsome, Paolo, Alejandro, Baltasar or some incredibly long french name like Francois-Andre, Jean-Christophe, Armand-Georges...

Yes, it's incredibly hard to read, there's a couple of words I didn't get...

Is There Any Makes Of Trials Stuff You Hate
paolo replied to Ollie Y's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
I personally don't like most trials specific makes :$ . Too much "hey let's make it as light as it can be so it can support it's own weight". Weird designs like having the widdest possible rim when sideways forces aren't the problem. Please quote this post I feel like defending it haha. -
Get linux, my computer's running so damn fast now that I don't have anything to run on it ! Seriously, I find it's much faster, when you aren't doing anything, the computer really isn't doing anything, not running 20000 update programs and like 5 firewalls and 2 programs to check for things running and constantly checking your memory for malware.

Get a shimano deore or LX if your'e a weight freak, dude, it's a front hub...

Jeans with small stiching inside and an inch thick bashguard (that's also my spider, thanks to my ex-eingener bike shop owner ) solve my problem...

I personally run right as my back brake. I right with my left hand but I'm stronger with my right one. Also to keep in mind is your chocolate foot, the hand with the brake lever on can't move as much without loosing power, so when your'e in a weird position, having to move the hand that doesn't use the brake is easier. Maybe the UK uses the rear brake on the left, if you were to hit someone on the other side of the street, you wouldn't go endoing about... pwahahahaha

Yup, you know what your'e talking about. Clean it fairly well with just water, then use the alcool. For the pads, I use alcool on them and I sand them a bit with supper small grit water sanding paper. Isopropyl alcool is also knowed as rubbing alcool...

I almost pissed myself, awsome !

Don't know if they are available in Europe, but theese tires have some of the hardest cassings around, plus alot are available in 24". You might want to check for a shop near you to check them out. I have a 2.75 prime bite, I don't ride it anymore, but they have the sides of the tires are as hard if not harder then the actual rolling surface. It took me about 15mins [don't remember exactcly but I was sweating...] to get them on or off, to give you an idea...

Trials/ Street Bike- What Suspension?
paolo replied to chips_an_beans's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Maybe I didn't explain it all to well, but practicly all coil sprung forks can have their travel reduced by chainging the coil to a smaller one [and firmer], that's how guys like Lenosky, Ray and Leach get their forks going... On most forks the operation can be done at home with basicly just an adjustable wrench (old z series, fox and other 'cheap' forks like the old judys and MX). I'd keep my eyes pealed for any light, cheap, sturdy and coil sprung fork in the buy/sell of your local MTB forum, it can be easier for you to get a low travel fork because I don't know how available replacement springs are in Europe. -
Spoon-Railleur I still ride it actually, I added a tail from a plastic toy dinnosaur to hold the tension, because my axle wasn't able to hold the tension alone without having to tighten it every week or so...

As much as needed... Put the whole thing on without shims, but leave the caliper loose [really loose]. Press the lever pretty hard so the caliper centers on the disk, then take a look at how much spacers you should put, then once you put them in, double check by making sure the caliper is in the middle of the disk.

... At wich point, you knock your head on the desk and say "Why the f**k not weld two narrow 24" rims and run them on a bmx hub (or other hub with lots of holes)". Wouldn't a tire with a harder cassing solve your problem instead of adding a metric ton to your bike ?

Trials/ Street Bike- What Suspension?
paolo replied to chips_an_beans's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Okay, I guess I'm the only riding a suspention fork here, and one of the few that knows what he's talking about when it comes to forks... Dont' go with dirtjumpers, they are incredibly heavy, they don't feel good, theyr'e meant for much more abuse then trials. So basicly, your'e looking for a light, tuff fork with 80 to 100 mm of travel, so most stock forks won't do, they will need some light modifications... Fox Forks, they have one of the best feeling around. For trials use, the Talas and the Vanilla would be suitable, the float could work if you aren't to destructive. If they haven't changed from last year they would all need a new spring [firm one probably] to get them to 80 to 100 mm but once you have the sping, you only need to unscrew the top bolt, take the spring out and put in the new one. But they are quite expensive, and theire old models used to break at the arch when put to too much lateral forces, but the arch design has been changed so I guess theyr'e all good. For used stuff, I wou Marzocchi, for their'e new stuff, the MX would be quite nice... But it's in the old, the Z series are the best. If you can find one in good shape, they would be awsome, especially since their'e so cheap. Manitou, the gold label, would have to be like the dirtjumpers, but I think their'e a little lighter. The R7 Elite FFD-R seem decent, but the earlier blacks are the best fit for trials, in my book. Rock Shox, they don't seem to have a simple fork with low travel, so the dart would have to be the best one, or the earlier judy's... But honnestly, most simple, low travel should do the trick...
