  1. here Basicly, you can change where the middle of the hub is... Then you put your favorite freewheel on it and ride... It's the same price as theire regular hub, wich is quite nice, I can get it at my local shop for 175 $ CAN, don't know if you can even get them in the UK... I found 125 pounds for the non disc and 135 plus 45 for the brake adaptor for the disc version. So you might as well get it imported haha http://phatmoosecycles.com/products/hubs.php#
  2. If you really don't want a tensioner, check out white industries ENO hubs...
  3. I normaly just pull out somekind of relativly easy trick [for me], rolling 360 is my favorite, and then say, if you can do that, then you can ride my bike, else, f**k off.

    24" Frames

Get a clear coated iolo, eeeeehm filet brazed frame plus steel frames are so nice especialy when you choose the geo.
  5. IronHorse Desperado [XC bike] got stolen Specialized hardrock [lots of modificactions] sold .243 racing [custom build] sold the frame Endless lifetime [getting closer and closer to a trials build] snapped, warrantied, well re welded so I got the PX mean while, and now I prefer it... Planet X Ghost [i think that frame was only available in Canada] current.
  6. Just takes a bit of use to, to do rollbacks without using the pedals. But I personaly think a proper freehub is better for fakie tricks (especially "cab" style tricks) because it allows somewhat to modulate things because the brakes on a trial bike have a tendency of being on or off... I should try a fakie trials line some time, it would be frikin' hillarious !
  7. Nous autre, french band, means We, the people. It's a duo, pretty simple stuff, just nice and fun, we work harder on the lyrics than the guitar, but then again it's quite okkay/good it's just a bit on the simple side of things, makes for good improv.
  8. I'd personally buy a large base cog because the cogs from a cassette can chew up your freehub body because they are made to spread the force across the hole cassette. Anyways, the guys on top got it right.
  9. In the message typing page, theres a little photo of a tree, press that and paste the URL of the photo in the box that'll pop up.
  10. Ehm... FANNY PACK ! Otherwise, you could modify your pockets a bit, basicly invert them. Having the "low" part of the pocket toward inside your thigh. Or you could just put a button flap on wich ever pocket you use for your phone...
  11. Something similar happenned to my toe nail, part of it just fell off. I'm guessing the same will happen to you...
  12. You could just admit your the only person in your "band" .

    24" Frames

Meh, I personally run a 1.4 and an auxilary gear at 1.8 for those move where you want to go fast or want to ride a park. Because seriously, you aren't gonna lurch much more than 6' on a daily basis, you might as well get some extra power to get up stuff, just watch manifesto a couple of times and you should be ok for the recovery hops part.
  14. Duct tape it under your seat if you have one, if you really don't want to ride with a bag...

    If You Could

Does that meen it would be possible to make your own hub shell only with a lathe ? It could be really worth it, you could build a hub to work with eno freewheel and not have to buy their'e hub shell 175 $ CAN. Now let's see if I can bodge myself a decent lathe...
  16. Ehm, let's see here.. gf guitar and general music/song making/writting parkour when I feel like it rock climbing skiing thinking

    If You Could

Don't have a name yet, but I'm actually planing on doing some part, I'm actualy planing on trying out a backyard mini forge. Basicly do innovative designs... most are on paper and kinda hard to explain, but for a example, 3-piece cranks, but with one crank incorporated in the axle, so you could put it on your chocolate foot's side and not worry about stripping the crank interface But in the lesser fantastic, I was thinking of a steel crank with an aluminum core, steel ensures a durable crank interface and pedal threads + steel is harder than aluminum so it would get less damage from being hit everywhere, the aluminum core would give some stiffness and lower the overall weight.
  18. Why not, if your lever is accidently made of magnesium, at least it won't blow up Seriously, I'd try it out, I don't see how it could harm your brakes... Post up how it feels !
  19. Soundless brake add 300 points Add 700 to that if it's a magura hs33. All handmade parts add 300 points Add 450 points if it's a homemade frame Or 200 for a part using something that had another use (like a spoon for a chaintensionner ) Squeky cranks are +/- 100 points depending to what extent and what's your income. Loose pack bearings add 50 Not using bearings add 400 Having a suspension fork +/- 200 points, depending on how good a rider you are (sucky and sick ass riders, +200, mediocre riders and posers, -200) I think were getting some where, now...
  20. Geeh, thanks for robbing it from me on MTBK Sadly, pretty useless for trials, they don't even do a 2 piston version...
  21. Now that this is setteled, thank you for giving me your thread. Has anyone one tried avid juicy 5' on for trials as a rear brake ? Being on a 24" and riding verry streety, I don't need mad grabbing power, I need the wheel to lock easely. But I also need alot of modulation, what most bb7s I tried seemed to lacka tad. Anyone has brake ideas ? I try to keep away from maggies, they cost alot in Canada and make waaay to much noise for me !
  22. How about the nicest stem ever ? [here] Ok, I know It's 62 [insert weird uk money symbol] but it's 156 grams and so nice, beat that ! You could probably find a good deal on them somewhere, but I don't really know UK bike sites... Other than that, for block style stems, they are pretty much all the same, I'd suggest going with a high rise 31.8 bar with a really small stem, twist the bars forward a bit and you have the reach of a longer stem but you can actually turn and spin.
  23. Sadly can't remember him wearing actual pants .
  24. My my new old frame I'd get 290, but if I built my old warrantied frame I'd get a whooping 540, yes it got all the tools mentionned, it's steel (made in the usa) and got liquid metal because the seat post was actually melted off, I forgot to lube it properlly... But it actually has more caracter than that because it was used for racing hardtail downhill before I bought it oooh and may I forget, it was warrantied because I broke front triangle in two. Weird thing, on both frames, the companies don't make frames anymore... I think you put to much points for V brakes... setting up v-brakes to work isn't worth 150, not that I ride them either. EDIT: I think you forgot the oh so important "# Give yourself 1 point for every time another rider questioned your sanity for riding "that piece of junk". # Rebuilding your own hubs is worth 50 points, 25 more if you put the hubs back together with less bearings than originally. "
  25. 360-tailtapping a bench, got it once, in the process of having it regularly... Well maybe the achievement I'm the most proud of really is being able to lurch...
