I've got a Julie caliper that has been water bled and seems to work fine but I was running it with a HS33 lever - disc brake with TPA, magura should take note. You're welcome to the caliper for a fiver and the price of postage but I'd like to hang onto the lever as my rear one seems to be starting to play up. Although I'm not sure it is IS - I think it takes a 170mm disc but I can check if you're interested (I haven't got a disc for it). Or I've got a hope M4 180mm which works fine for £30 - It was originally for a Boxxer fork so its had a spanner made to fit as an adapter to convert it to IS but it works fine. PM me if you're interested. Cheers, Jamie

Very nice. My mates just got one but I haven't seen it yet. Quite a few stem stackers though.

Well you've tried everything I was going to suggest apart from the reach adjustment on the lever. I was having the same problem and I found that not having to stretch so far for the lever in the first place meant the lever could be in a slightly different place. Takes a bit of fiddling to get right but try and lever blade sat under your second knuckle - usually means adjusting the reach adjustment a bit. I found it worked for me.

Tiger Woods golf is worth a go - suprisingly good considering I don't like golf

Superb topic - has kept me most amused reading this, for two lunch times! Personally, I'm against smoking as I'm asthmatic and it doesn't help one bit. I'm all for the smoking ban. However, for laughing at people for whatever reason is wrong - unless its among friends that don't mind. As for the ID cards - I'm undecided. It depends upon they're done. If its a card version of a passport with NI number on it - I don't really see a problem. As for installing GPS in cars - not happy. I reckon they should go more along the lines of dangerous driving with less focus on speed. I find I concentrate less on the road when watching my speed all the time. However it would be a fail safe way of ensuring people don't speed but then why allow companies to sell cars that will happily do 100mph plus? Also Go see Mark Thomas (political comedian) if you get a chance. I believe he currently holds the world record for the most protests organised in one place on one day. How to annoy the authorities. Nice looking frame. What is it?

The other advantage is that when he removes the rear wheel the hanger and chain tensioner come off and make it easier to remove the wheel.

Signed and forwarded round the office

Does look a bit odd but it'd be a mod that I wouldn't feel too cramped on (I'm 6'4") - I want a go.

Hope Mono Trials Or Avid Juicy 5

That's what I'm running and it stops 13 stone quite happily. -
Yep, it's the quickest way of doing it. Loosen all the spokes your wheel. (don't remove the nipples at this stage) Tape/zip tie your rims together - new rim on the drive side. (I find it easier this way) - make sure the holes match up! Start swapping the drive side spokes one at a time. Then the non-drive side. Tighten the spokes evenly. Ture and dish as required. Sorted. And I can recommend a Spokey - they are the best by far.
-
I'd be more inclined to trust the lengths given by wheel pro. The ones from DT sound far too short. (The last wheel I built was a King (rear) to a Koxx Tryall and that was 262-264 and hope hubs usually have larger flanges than kings giving slightly shorter spokes).

They must be sprung otherwise the chain would have to be above the roller to keep the chain tensioned. Unless it's fixed but it doesn't look adjustable.

Wheelies do 0% finance - have to be credit checked or they'll put a bike by for you an you pay it off when you can and you get the bike when it's paid for - not before. I do disagree with getting into debt though.

Nice idea with the front tyre. I've been wondering what to get next - now I may get a Cinder.

We've got a BMX/skate demo in the Swansea Show (Singleton Park in Swansea) on the Sunday and Monday and I'm currently trying to organise a trials area - not sure if it'll happen yet but fingers crossed. May try and pop down to Porthcawl after though or I may be down there on Tuesday. Jamie Now have 40 pallets coming today and the skate park will be set up on Saturday. I just hope the weater holds for Sunday and Monday - pop down if you want.

He looks far too relaxed in that top pic.

All I can say is I hope it gets sorted - if you do get it back and the mech/tensioner and chain are fine and it still skips - change the chain ring (the one on the front). Or get the shop to test ride it. Good luck -
You got it! One cable run through the V as normal but instead of clamping it, use a piece of outer to route it to the 2nd V (I can't remember how it was done exactly as it was in MBUK about 9 yrs ago). Used on Pace forks as they have the clamp on V mounts.

Check your chain ring. If it's worn, this could be your problem. Your chain, cog and mech look ok (although do shorten the chain a couple of links) but if you're running a new chain on a worn chainring then this can slip really badly - usually when you're just riding along and then put some extra power down. I'd check your chain ring and if the teeth are pointy (compare to a new one if possible) then change it - or just buy a new steel one, usually about the £5 mark. -
Got one - well had one for the past 3 years (after flattening 3 tabs on my old BULB). I just got an old disc and cut it down although it's not as swanky as the ninja star one.

Slightly off topic, I have a Magura Louise disc caliper litted to a Magura HS33 lever - it's a disc with TPA and it works really well. (Originally done as there was an old Louise caliper sat around at work so I thought I'd make use of it. Double discs have been done in the past - Marzocchis circa 1998 had two disc mounts. People have done front and rear mounted Vs on Pace forks - easy to do as the mounts clamp onto the carbon/alu legs. Haven't yet seen disc and magura or V and cable disc though.

Standard frame. As your local bike shop to order one in - I think they come from Moore and Large and are usually £70-100 retail.

Very nice design. Internal cable routing that makes sense as it comes out by the rear brake. Lovely intergrated brake booster. Is it and 1.5" head tube with reducer cups as well?? Not sure about the colour and it could do with the option for gears - apart from that - great.

If you're thinking of new cranks, I can recommend Shimano Saints - well worth a try if you've got some spare money and cheaper than Middleburns. (Never thought I'd say that)
