From the looks of things, it looks like it's gonna need a lot of work too in terms of making it worthy of some dh (no cheap triple chainset) and also some servicing. Forks look like they've worn away, might just be the anodising but could be corrosion or bad wear... Chain looks pretty ropey and yeah i would expect other bits to be up with it. Tread carefully i'd say.

So i picked up a pretty good 32" philips lcd tv (from my girlfriends dad, for a good price), which i now have my computer connected up to, along side my xbox. But basically, flickering is quite frequent on 60hz, but i don't seem to be able to put any more hz into it on my nvidia control pannel. Anything i can do to improve things? It's ok with most things apart from web pages and msn etc, seems to be when there's a lot of white... Using a GeForce FX 5500, which i know is pretty basic but yeah... I have a 6800 (i think) in my old computer but not sure if i can just switch them over?

beard trimmer for the win. shaves to a stubble and you can add definition to your face with cool lines. one no ones mentioned is hair removal cream, it's pretty good stuff.

matt, pm me your number and i'll text you next time were doing any trail riding

AVOID CREATE AVOID CREATE AVOID CREATE AVOID CREATE AVOID CREATE AVOID CREATE AVOID CREATE AVOID CREATE AVOID CREATE AVOID CREATE AVOID CREATE AVOID CREATE AVOID CREATE AVOID CREATE AVOID CREATE AVOID CREATE AVOID CREATE AVOID CREATE Worst bikes ever. Everything goes wrong with them. They're poorer quality than the cheapest halfords bikes.

i really want to do it for you matt. but i don't think i can be arsed. did tickle me though!

Got a brand new set of Mavic Crossrides in the box never used with a pair of conti speed king tyres 2.1 for sale if you're interested. Retail at 190, for the wheels, and 30 for tyres, so asking 160 posted... PM me or email me. Emails in profile.

The XTs have never been 4 piston? The 06 saints are a beast, i know, i've got them! And they are the same caliper as the 09 xt (if we're on the same lines). I run them on my hardtail freeride bike, but they're old now. 2010 saints are 4 piston full on dh brakes. Good man, Rob, you'll love them!
-
Juicy 3's suck. The elixirs have a much better lever/piston technology, and better caliper for better cooling. Juicy range gets better at the 7's but the 3 definitely has a cheaper caliper which is where the power loss is from, then the 3 lever only has lever reach adjustment. Shimano are good if you can bleed brakes, it's the mechanics brake. I can say the saints are very good brakes, yeah, but wayyy too much for that trail bike! 2010 saints are 4 pot beasts. I think elixirs would be best... There's hayes as an alternative but they make the worst sound ever. Maguras are pretty nice like a set of louises but maybe a little less common on bikes in this country so slightly harder to get bits for (?) The only thing you'll struggle with is actually bleeding them if you need to change hose or anything (on the elixirs), it's probably the most complicated bleed out there but it's definitely do-able. The manual's pretty straight forward, but the thing is, you probably won't need to do it.
-
Elixirs are pretty damn good! I've used elixir r with carbon levers on my dh bike and my xc bike and they're awesome. I tried some mini dh trails on my xc bike and was on the brakes all the time, they got mega hot but still performed very well, no fade. Easy set up and pad change too.

Wouldn't bother. Hope isn't the name, it's the instructions! They bite awesome but have no hold whatsoever, might suit some riding types but i think they're lacking if they can't lock the wheels!

It's the meta 6 i'm after though, Tomm. It's a fair bit burlier. I had a look at one in the flesh today and it was a large, looked horrible! I think it would be better in a smaller frame but i was after a compact 6" AM bike that i could pedal so pref not too slack seat angle but was quite low slung and semi burly. The Morewood thing is bugging me, i really wanna ride one to see how bad they actually are but i dunno if i'm gonna find one too easily. I dunno if it will make too many odds to me though, cos it's the right type of bike, i'll just have to get used to it, but i'd do that anyway. It's just so convenient with that 1.5" headtube! Ah this is hard work!
-
Tomm, i hate you so they're not all that good? I want a bike with 6" travel that's not over burly. I guess i'm just after an AM bike. I wanna be able to pedal it around but not loads, cos i've got my xc bike for that. What's up with the commy as well? It's only a swing arm in carbon because they couldn't sort me the alu one at such a good price... Ah i really dunno what to do? Any alternatives?
-
This is a f**ker, Commencal Meta 6 carbon swing arm for 800 quid brand new (a grand off) + the expense of changing fork uppers as my current forks are 1.5, or Morewood Mbuzi (with a retail of 1295) with a 1.5 so no expense on the fork, for potentially the same sort of money if propel can sort me out a staff deal type thing. I guess it's gonna be easier if i knew how much off the morewood would be, but it's looking to be easier for me from not having to change the fork. But, i'm skint as a whole so i don't know if either will happen, but i'm desperate for a full susser again! Anyone wanna buy my hucker frame? (pics in earlier post)

I was the skinniest i've ever been when i had had a nice summers worth of street riding, back when we used to ride a bit more than we talked. It is definitely physically challenging and i think if you actually do lines etc and session without breaks you'll reap the benefits.

Got a Voodoo Wanga steel frame, adjustable drop outs so it takes single speed or geared but atm it's SS only but has removeable bolt on bosses and the drop out still has a disc mount... 17", 15 year frame warranty. After 100 quid.

Nick, it's gotta be the Surrey Hills in Dorking, they'd be awesome for your bike! Holbury Hill is full of awesome trails, and Leith Hill is awesome to. I'm going there next weekend if you wanna tag along! Sunday probably meeting about 10 or 11 there...
-
Bought some luggage scales the other day and weighed that titanium HT i got, 22lbs, i'm so surprised! i thought it was like 26+ Still no news on the meta 6 but the guys really busy atm. Hopefully will have it sorted by the end of the summer! Went riding at Aston Hill the other day and it was pretty fun
-
But i'd still like to think someones bought it, been chuffed and taken pics of it and put them on a forum somewhere. But yeah i can see how it would be swapped and swapped again but i've seen nothing, not even a glimse. The thing i'm thinking is that they're gonna keep it in a shed for 6 months until the dust has settled and i've lost all hope, then shift it. My cytech guy had a friends bikeshop stolen from, had a bike from the shop and it turned up on ebay 8 or so months later... Keeping my fingers crossed anyway.

So the police did try to help with my bike! Unfortunately, they called my bike, the name of the forks. http://www.newsshopper.co.uk/news/8099988.PENGE__Appeal_after___3_300_bike_stolen_from_shed/ Plesed they tried to do something. It still puzzles me how it has just disappeared, no trace of it at all. I searched those forks (as they're OEM ones from an 07 scott, so super rare) on google with commencal after it and it came up next to nothing. It's a shit ache i tell you!
-
So no news on my old commy, so it looks like my hardtail (devinchi hucker) is gonna be turning into a commencal meta 6, theyre going cheap at the moment so it's win win, just need to drag 600 quid together then another 150 for new uppers for my lyrik forks, then i'll be back on a full sus popped to porc the other day on the hucker and it was mega fun! Ti bike is nearly there too, i'm a shifter short of the whole setup jobby so that'll happen this weekend with any luck. And i'll have a computer after the weekend so i can be back on tf sometimes Love the Iron Horse, looks lovely. But it's lacking brown stuff!
-
Mate, i proper f**king will innit BRUV!!!! It's a 900 pound frame, i paid just less than 20% of that for it. ***.
-
Haha. Not for long, but then for long in a few weeks roughly. Do you like my bike more importantly?
-
Still full susless no leads to where it's gone, and it sucks!! I really want it back, as i just had it almost perfect, then it went I got a new XC/trail frame, it's the spec from my old Voodoo Wanga, but a titanium version of the frame. It's very nice but i've not had chance to take it out properly yet. I'm due to be putting x.0 on it and running it 1x9 to make it super perfect for my closest/best place to ride, Dorking. Crap phone pic atm but my cam is at my gf's and also i haven't been on for 4 months because my computer broke down, but i'm getting a new one again soon so TF will be a much worse place again Deffo needs some lock ons, it's just i only had those grips at the time! It's been de stickered and it looks clean, i love it. Plans are, full length gear cable to the rear mech, seperate fhub body with SS sprocket and one with a cassette, it's a pro2 so it's easy as, then change chain and away i go at a geared or SS. Ultimate adaptable bike for me.
