Right, how old is the old comp? If it's xp or earlier (what came with it standard, it should have ethernet) Then, buy an ethernet cable, male to male. Plug it in the ethernet port in the back of each computer. Open up network connections, maybe my computer. Find the files you want, copy them over as if you were saving your porn to another place. Further info and stuff is there, just ask on what you're not sure of. EDIT: OR maybe just go to that link above.

I think, if you want to use ethernet, you'll have to go to network connections, and if you use USB you'll need to go to my computer to do it, so you shouldn't need the old comp to be wired up to a monitor. Try it, you've got nothing to lose.
