Propelant is only butane or similar, so only a gas (would be a liquid inside the can though, due to the high pressure it's put under), but i'm not sure of it being liquid, all i know is that it will keep a constant pressure of whatever the propellant is ('butane 40' would have a constant pressure of 40psi until all of it is gone, similar to butane cans that you get for portable cooker thingies) But there really should be more weight than that, i can't understand how so much of it is 'wasted'/ doesn't go onto the bike.
-
True stories, it was outside, so maybe yeah, but still, that means i've put about 1l of it onto the frame.
-
Well, not really, because it tells you you're buying 600ml of paint, and pretty much (out of the liquids that have a similar viscosity to water) will weigh 1kg per 1l. Sorry for the lack of quality of the first post, i have good ideas and think i can write an essay on it, but when it comes to it, it turns out shit EDIT: Inur, you man of all knowledge (and JT), fair enough on the anodizing bit, i didn't quite realise it removed metal, but surely it's more than 40g for the spray?
-
Right, over the last week or so I've been wondering if spray paint/paint in general really makes that much difference to the weight of your bike. Given that 1l of water= 1kg, and I've just used 1.2l of spray paint on my frame and forks, ontop of how ever much anodizing, i might have made my bike 1.2kg heavier?! Given that my bike already weighs a bit (certainly not the lightest bike around) i don't think I've got much margin for weight. I'd be willing to caustic soda the anodizing off to make it a nice raw frame and forks (it won't affect strength or anything will it?) and weigh it before and after that... Not sure when I'd be bothered to do it though. So, basically, does spray really weigh that much? I'm thinking not quite as much as water but it can't be far off, because it once was in a liquid state. btw, i searched, didn't find anything though.

I'll be seeing this in person But, fair enough, it wasn't professional, but it must have taken the person lots of time and effort to do that! Props to him.

Ouch f**k. That's a right pain in the arse i bet, did it knock you forward and you face planted? How could someone hit you from behind? Either way, that's a fanny, hope it heals up nicely. Any compensation? EDIT: what a cnut, hit and runs really are piss takes. Was it a boyracer type wank stain?

Not really much like me...

Wavy rotors are better because the pad exerts it's force over a smaller surface/contact area, giving it more power, which is better than a bigger contact area and less power, so, the first rotor (hope Gothic?) might be quite good, they look cool though, which is their main reason for existence.

Don't think i'll be going, seems no one is gonna ride first time round, and i don't particularly wanna be going home at 1 or 2 or what ever time you're gonna be going.
-
So is anyone gonna be riding with me around the usual spots in London? 11 @ the sloped walls?
-
Ok kink's out of the question then. I've emailed my mum the link for the goldie so she can look at it at work, no reply yet though, i'm fairly sure she'll get it for me, i hope anyway.

Buggerrrrrrrrrr I'm away from the 18th to the 22nd. Gayyyy, don't make it a good ride, i don't wanna miss out
-
Not really Spose the people that think people are sad meeting people through the internet are obviously quite the ladies man and go out a lot, to clubs n shit.
-
Joe, i'm not sure how internet meeting you are, but he's spoken to her for 2 years, iirc every night for hours, so even if it is on the internet, that's pretty much a lot of 'time' together, fair enough this bird is local, but i've spoken to her for pretty much a year and only met her once or twice for a few mins, but i'd still try and make a move on her, anyday. It's only over the internet, it's really not that bad, i know people could be weirdos that are gonna rape you or some shit but as long as they're genuine people i don't think there's anything wrong with 'msn dating' or some shit.

Mocks aren't really that much, they just help the teacher know what tier to put you into, and if you clearly just f**ked up they'll go on your general level, not on some practice exams. And i don't like saying this (because they're easy when you've done them, and people say they're straight up easy when they've done A levels, and of course, gcses are gonna be a lot easier than A levels), but GCSEs are easyish. Just make sure you pull your finger out of your arsehole, keep your head down and work, and revise loadssfor about a month or two before them and you'll ace 'em. Easier said than done though my friend, and i wish i could have done it.

The bit where he says clean it off with wd 40 is the bit where he wants to kill people, petrol and turps yes, not wd40.

http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=34 ? Or would they not pull back enough? Fair play if it's them not pulling back enough.
-
Is battersea natural then? Sod that, i'm NO good on rocks, it'll be a waste of time for me
-
Ah, ok. True.
-
2. - You ride with the end of your feet on the pedals (either end, toes or heel)? You're pretty much meant to have them with the front edge of the pedals in the middle of the ball of your foot. If not, they're gonna slip off so easily and you'll kill your shins, and it's f**king hard to ride with your feet basically just on the pedals. If not, ok, i don't know what you mean by that. Tip: Absorb everything as much as you can, as smoothly as possible to make your bike and body last longer.
-
No no no, you don't wanna go to battersea, you wanna go round the usual London spots twice, 2nd time round the late comers can join up. It's the way forward. I'm there, who else wants to ride London first time round with me?

What do people think of 'Kink', Alans have got a few new bikes in by them, they're mega light for the price, £275 and 27lbs! http://www.alansbmx.com/products_new.php?p...f11d4fa8e7dd685
-
10977.22gr (24 odd lbs) Doubt it. Quite a bit wasn't there, and i don't know the weight of the bits that aren't there, only know if they're heavy (stem and bars, da bomb, and the da bomb cranks, which are heavy too) But i used ones that i thought were the same ish weight.
