  1. I'm pretty sure they don't expect you to actually dig it up yourself! Surely you work your way through all the clues then when you think you know where it is you say 'omomg it's in my back garden' they say yes and give you a car.
  2. Perhaps the key is ultimate speed trials then? Flat out don't stop give it some welly never brake fight the system super quick think outside the box rage against the machine.
  3. Haha, so true. When I'm pissed I just give Joe Maher my username and password so he can log on and make me look silly without any effort on my part. Works like a dream.
  4. Seconded. I feel so left out
  5. You're too young to be out drinking, not to mention a school night too.
  6. The physics thang makes a lot of sense actually, never really thought of it like that. On a similar note; Does anybody else find that when they ride bmx they tend to catch their achilles tendon or the bone on the inside of your ankle on bits of the BMX like the drop-out, pegs, the area of the bolt on cranks? I do it all the time The more I think about the whole crashing thing the more I remember all the crashes I've had on my BMX and how different they were to any trials crashes. I hate hurting myself

    Crashing

Has anybody noticed how bmxers have some really gnarly crashes yet they seem to get back up and try the trick again.. It doesn't really seem to hurt them that much! Does anybody know why this is possible? I've come up with a few ideas but I can't work it out. They work out a lot and are really physically fit, so somehow their muscles are stronger meaning they don't get pulled/strained as easilyThey are so relaxed and fearless that they never tense upThey are so pumped with adrenaline that they don't feel painThey stretch/warm up really well before riding so everything is loseThey are on drugsWhat dy'a reckon? I'd love to not hurt when I crash!!
  8. My bad!! It's funny how you judge people differently if you're expecting a 'pro'. This is going to sound like an empty compliment now, but it was actually pretty good riding.. The way you described it I was expecting a pro hence my reply!! Sowwy.
  9. Until you get to the last bit where you need to giver it a bit of welly to make sure she stays tight. As for torque ratings and all that, not everyone has a torque wrench so that's not much use!! I generally tend to find that BB tools and the bit they sit in on the BB itself are proper wank so you can't over tighten it anyway!! Just keep going till you take the skin off your knuckles.. Sorted!
  10. Ohh, will it be too late to do that now then? Like if i give it a jolly good thorough clean and then ride a really long distance?
  11. Perhaps, but when a question is asked I feel the need to answer it This is a novel idea.. Perhaps more suited to those riders who frequent the streets of china town rather than a sleepy town in England.
  12. Yeah I know that's the best way but when you live in Guernsey it complicates matters. Sending the whole wheel is slow and costly and just generally something I'd rather do I would ask adam himself but I think he blocked me Meh, I mihgt take it apart and spend more time cleaning it and stuff.
  13. Hmm, not that great really.
  14. Seriously, calm it down a bit guys! Stop getting emotional about a prototype!! It's only a sneaky peak, you don't HAVE to ride a bike like this... Nobody's going to make you cut a metre off the back of your bike and stick a seat on it!
  15. Well, presumably when Adam serviced it he to took it all apart. I don't have the neccersary tools to take it apart completely though. Saying that I have had a few skips before so I've done exactly the same thing and it's been fine. Odd. It's a shame I live in Guernsey because it means I have to send my wheel away if I want it properly serviced. Not good!
  16. I think most of the people who have posted on here have got themselves a little confused. If you read what we have been told properly you'll realize that this frame isn't for you, it isn't designed for you, nor is it a frame you are expected to purchase. It is a prototype frame made to the specifications of a single rider. You probably won't like the geometry if you ride a 2metre bike with a 3foot BB rise. You probably won't like it if you want to sidehop onto your roof. But that's ok, because you aren't Akrigg so you won't ever get to ride it. It's a tidy looking bike, i bet it rides really nicely, I can't wait to see it in action. Make sure you bring out a vid when it's made up!
  17. Hey, basically I've had this hub for pretty much a year now and it's been serviced about three times [once by tarty and twice by myself]. Whilst I was at the DJ ride it started skipping pretty badly for the first time in a LONG time. I put this down to it needing another quick clean up and relube etc. So when I got back to guernsey i took it apart gaev it a good clean and used some 10weight synthetic oil [as reccomended by the King manual]. For a few days it was ace. Unfortunately now it is absolutely shagged. I can't even kick for a small gap without it skipping and sometimes it skips before i can even put it on the back wheel. Even worse than that, the point when i realised it was proper screwed was when trying to do a pretty big gap and it skipped about 4/5 engagements. Obviously I've stopped using it now! Basically I just want to know what I've done? What should I replace [there's no visible damage on the driveshell]. Is it possible i used too much lube? Have i tightened the cones too much OR not enough? I'm really confused Any ideas?
  18. I'm intrigued... Where does one find this game? EDIT: Found it, should've googled first
  19. I actually forgot about the angry thread, heehee. I'm not moaning anyway, if you read my post properly you'd see I was just pointing out how amusing it was that we have begun to almost moderate ourselves.. Also, normal members tell people off or correct people for breaking rules and stuff too now. Such community spirit
  20. Seriously, What's with all the thread threads.. I look through the forum and all I see is; It's like we've all organised the chit-chat section ourselves.. Like started reating our own sub-sections! Soon we won't need the mods anymore!
  21. Lighter too I should imagine.
  22. I'm confused.. I clicked the link you posted and I tried fake login details but it knew they were incorrect?? Surely if this was a scam it wouldn't know?? Confused!!
