  1. Why are your pics all so big? I don't get it..
  2. How are the birds above Daves post chavs?? They look like normal girls to me!! [unless they lost their virginity at 7 and got pregnant by 7+9months and now smoke 50 a day..?]
  3. My middleburn bashring and cranks are black and they are now scratched.. But the majority of the bash is still black and I think it still looks cool.. Anodized sump guards are a good idea I think!! All mods look the same really.. So it's nice to be able to have a colour scheme throughout. Anodizing is a good thing!!
  4. You aren't paying for the material alone.. You're paying for the research that goes into finding the ideal compound. You're paying for the labour that goes into making the pads. You're paying for the service. To be honest I firstly couldn't be bothered to go to all the effort of finding and buying the material and then making it all and secondly I wouldn'ttrust a brake pad that I'd made!! It is a bloody important part of the bike afterall!!
  5. It nearly killed me when I had a go on it though.. Back brake sticks like a b*****d!! Lush though.
  6. Yayy, nice pictures Ben!! Shame I could hardly ride that day, :$ far too tired from the day before haha. It was a great few days though! Top guys.
  7. Doubt it, he's new to trials.. So obviously he isn't going to know that all trials bike squeek like bastards! I actually get people coming into work sometimes asking me if they should oil their breaks because they squeek :|
  8. Hehe, I do.. the heel pic wasn't quite as dramatic though so I didn't bother to post it
  9. My revell has no chain tensioner, no maguras, no disc, the bars are cut down about 2inches either side, it has no seat, carbon bits.. I don't think I could possibly get it any lighter!
  10. Heatsink yellows bit like a b*****d on a grind, when I used to run maggies. I could modulate that.
  11. Modulate with your finger? It's not hard..
  12. I've gone for disc purely because Maguras hate me. I never have any luck with them. My bike is full vee, but meh, if I wanted to strap something heavy and high maintenance to my bike it would be a disc.
  13. You don't actually know what a 'scene' girl is, do you?
  14. I think you'll find it is pronounced.. 'who gives a shit?'
  15. Christ, do you people not understand that his STANDARD pads are still low priced and damn good value. It's only the trick CNC'd ones that you pay more for! Idiots.
  16. From my experience horizontal is the way to go. Basically my set up is hope trials hub, revell frame and an avid ultimate. I put it all together tightened it all up, got the tension perfect with chain tugs and that's it. I haven't touched it. I run maxxis tyres so I don't need to worry about punctures, but they wouldn't be too much hassle really. My wheel NEVER moves, my tension is always perfect. I can't see why you would want vertical drop-outs. Take a look. The above is an old pic from when I had a king with a quick release (that didn't work too well!). But just look how tidy it is. I think it's the best way forward personally.
  17. Oooh, is the guy up there from leeds going to jersey on his own or are there a few people? I might have to nip over! Talking of which are you Jersey boys gonna come over to guernsey for a bit? I need some motivation!
  18. That's the wrong one I'm afraid. It's a bolt-through axle too.. Meaning unless you have a DH/Freeride bike it's probably not gonna fit without conversion!
  19. To be honest this topic only needed one answer.. "Is It Me Or Are Heatsink Pads Expensive?" NO Is it me or recently is Steve getting a bit of stick about his products? Perhaps that's one of the problems about it going from a really small time operation of a few pads up to a full on Estore selling not just pads but components too. At the end of the day these pads do work. If you want cheap get the plastic. If you want value for money over time and sex on your bike get the cnc'd backings. And anyway, when was the last time you ordered a set of koxx bloxx and had a little handwritten note on the pad packaging? Never. Steve for the win, I love my reds
