  1. The link to the bails video is broken, I wanna DL it.. Sort it out!
  2. Exactly will, If you learn how to use a hex wrench properly [it's not that difficult!] then you won't need anything other than the standard bolts! Unless of course you want shiny/colourful bolts. Although be warned, since most of you seem to have the hex wrench handling skills of a sea otter be careful with the anodised bolts because I THINK they are really soft aluminium so they'll round like chocolate.
  3. What time is blue peter on?
  4. From what I can see it's only the carbon lever that won't be compatible.. Assuming you have the marta that doesn't have a carbon lever. It all looks a bit hazy on the magura site so I'd be inclined to call someone like Chainreaction cycles and they'll probably be able to suggest something.
  5. For me, if I go to my garage and my bike is sat there looking sexy then I have to ride it.. I can't just pass it by. I love having a nice looking bike, I don't have any bold colour schemes or anything, just subtle and tidy. That's how I like it. As far as scratches and things go I couldn't care less.. I don't think they make the bike look any worse - unless you have a black frame with a white undercoat or something!!
  6. First you make me gay, then you block me.. I hate you joe maher.
  7. It's not actually HIM trying to send you the virus i don't think.. I had a similiar virus and a message saying something like 'oh my god is this you' with a link to a picture.. which obviously wasn't a picture. I've probably infected most of my ocntacts now but I fixed the problem in 5mins so im safe now
  8. Umm, I f**ked up.. It's actually a little* more expensive that £550 *lot
  9. He's not that good, I could do everyting he did in that video.
  10. Ok, I may have a bargain for you.. Have a look, see what you think. These are the best pics at the mo.. It's an ex demo from the shop I work at and only ever seen tarmac. It's sort of a mismatch as far as parts go, but if you're looking for a play bike that'll take the hills too you can't go far wrong with this. It's pretty light, has plenty of travel, good groupset and it's FUN! You're roughly looking at £700 for the frame and forks alone!! Manitou minute forks - £300 Santa cruz chameleon frame - £400 His asking price, £550 for the lot.
  11. Haha yeah, ugly, but worth thousands! And that's cool one the esp, I can never understand why shops don't just stick their old stock on Ebay I'm trying to convince my boss to let me list things for him through Ebay for a percentage but he won't. Don't get it.
  12. I wonder if it has something to do with the horrific car/motorcycle crash on the last page? I'm actually a little disgusted that someone would post that, I mean somebody MUST have died in that crash. It's sick.
  13. Black Avid Ultimates will be on the cards I should imagine.
  14. I don't really care what chain I use.. Just whatever brand bmx chain we have in stock at the time.. I get them on staff discount so I just replace it regularly and never worry.
  15. Personally I don't think discs are that important, I always used to race with vee brakes and they were sound. If it's discs you're after though.. £370 Well in your budget. BUT If you can stretch your budget that little bit further this is damn lush.. I have a soft spot for treks, I love them. Wouldn't ever race anything else to be honest! [i know you aren't racing but meh!]
  16. I always have a quick look through skips! You never know when you might get a pay-off! That one's defo going on ebay though! Hehe. On a similar note.. A guy came into my cycle shop wanting to sell his sons 'blue road bike' I told him we don't sell bikes for people so he ask dif he could bring it in for me to give a rough valuation on. What he brought in was a blue carbon fibre time-trial bike called a joker Here's what one looks like.. I told him it would be had to sell something like that as they are very specialist and the market in Guernsey isn't particularly strong for things like that.. He said 'damn, well i might just stick it in the classifieds for £200'. To which I went to the bank and withdrew £200 immediately.
  17. That's not the exact wheel but the closest I could get.. The real ones a rear and it's the better version. ANYWAY.. A £300 wheel in a skip!! Go me. Anyone else ever find anything like this in a skip?
  18. Realistically I don't think it is feasible to run a trials park to break even. Basically taking in to account all the factors you mentioned and then the added problem of demand.. You're looking at a a project that is financially unworkable. Think about it, how many people a day are you going to get going to it.. Probably only people from the surrounding area during weeknights.. Then people might train it down from further away at the weekend? This won't work really. The only way a project such as this is conceivable is if it is government/privately funded. For example, we used to have an old B&Q building that a company called COMPROP gave to us rent free to use as a skatepark and the building was covered by their insurance.. but obviously and injuries caused by stunts etc wasn't covered. The local states [government to non Guernsey folk] didn't make us pay rates [water, electricity etc]
  19. Chav: 'Can I have a go on your bike mate...?' Me:
  20. I think they look absolutely shite.. Just look like the type of thing you'll buy.. Dick around on for a week and then put in a drawer!
  21. I wonder how many of the riders on this forum are worth as much or even more money than Deng? Not many. I wonder how many people have a business as successful as Dengs? Not many. You all slate Deng, but then you still support him by buying his stuff.
  22. Well obviously.. But I bet yours looks utter wank when it's minimised by that much!! Doubt you can make anything out at all!
