Yeah but I was kinda muddling everything up a bit... when i think of risers i think of those in the above pic of the koxx... James there are two major styles of writing - Formal and Informal. The above post made by jon is Informal. As is yours, even though you have tried hard to hide it's informality... I mean for a start you shouldn't have used a blank line after each paragraph and you should have indented - now that would be acceptable if writing a business letter, but your not (Y) Jon - I wish you all the luck in the world mate, from the research i've done it seems to be a tough world out there. When i finish higher education I hope to go into the same field as you... I do however fear that there are more potential employees than there are jobs available! Sorry i can't offer any advice but it would be nice if you posted your progress on TF as I'd love to see what paths you took etc. Whens the site going to be up and running then? sam

Danny, It seems that it is actually uploading the images - just telling you that theres an SQL error etc etc. I found this earlier when i was trying to post images and i kept trying it - ended up with about 6 og the same pic! sam

Have you checked things like: Your modem is enabled Your connecting to the right ISP Your password is typed correctly (lowercase (Y)) Your modem isn't fookered (my house got hit by lightning once and frazzled it - not been any storms recently in your area?) Also try the Windows Help Troubleshooter - this can sometimes be very helpful with things you've overlooked Sam

Woah, looks like a helluva lot of slating going on just because people are posting their opinions. Seems a lot of people didn't agree with my view - but, like i said it is my opinion and it can't be changed. I jsut wanted to express myself. I think there is a fine line between discussing something and putting someone down because of what they believe in... Some of you have crossed that line. ;)

Thats weird - even though mike said that it really happened (minus the last bit) the red recovery truck still looks oddly fake... as though its just been layered... weird, sam

I'm not sure if anyone has brought this up but I haven't really got the time to read through the whole thread - seems a lot of people have very strong views on this subject. These are my thoughts; they are mine and mine alone. I think the main problem is that we recognise racism as racism. Stick with me on this for a second. In my opinion the moment we stop recognising black people as black, white people as white, Chinese people as Chinese... that is the point at which racism no longer exists. The problem with society today is that we are expected to distinguish between different people in terms of their ethnic background, colour etc. Even the police have to use codes (IC1 male, IC3 Female etc). This in itself is a form of racial discrimination AND the fact that IC1 is NOT white just proves that race is always at the back of people’s minds. What i really hate is all this 'Im proud to be black' bullshit. The reason this is wrong is that they are segregating themselves from society. They are showing us that they are different. We need to stop recognising these different groups and start seeing all people as people. Now I'm not going to lie, I myself distinguish between different people by the colour of their skin, as does everyone else, you included. The one thing that sticks in my mind with regards to ethnic minorities and the like was actually an episode of 'South Park'. In this episode people grouped together to get the flag of South Park changed because it depicted 2 white people hanging a black person. Now there are obvious reasons why this is wrong, and obviously the whole situation was used to entertain the viewers. HOWEVER - the part that really touched me was at the end of the episode when the flag was changed to show all different colours of people... The South Park children told the adults that they didn't understand what was different about the new flag... The point is they couldn't recognise any difference because all they saw was people. Wouldn't it be beautiful if we only saw people? Tall people, Short People, Happy People, Grumpy people - but never black or white people. Sam
