  1. Concept bike so there won't be a price - chances are it's cost thousands and thousands :) There's no chance in hell you'd be doing ANY kind of street riding or anything on that bike. You'd never be allowed to take it on the roads, ever. The laws state that motorcycles are not allowed to have any dangerous bodywork, for example, if you look at all the brake/clutch levers on 'Road Legal' motorcycles they have balls on the ends to make them safer and less likely to stab people. So I’m guessing that if a lever with no ball on the end is dangerous - a six inch scaffolding pole protruding from each axle of the bike is going to be somewhat... unacceptable :)
  2. What you need is... Standard Triple Core Flex cable - Ten Pounds for 50m I'm not 100% what your output is to be, I presume your not daft enough to try and wire straight to the mains - so heres what you should think about... One standard 13A plug - 40 pence One standard output socket - £1.74 EDIT: Tomm beat me to it! all of the above links are to items on screwfix direct - Just lazy links 'cause I was feeling helpful :)
  3. B&Q is always a good bet if you ask me. A lot of the stuff they sell is a bit shifty though BUT if you buy the premium stuff (the most expensive brand available for each item) you can't go far wrong. As for taking the cabling across... If it's permanent I'd buy some piping from your local plumbing supplies store and bury it - this way the cable will be protected from everything and should last forever (Y) Wiring the plugs is as simple as stripping back the covering of your cable, to leave you with three inner wires... you then strip these back and put the corresponding colour into the points on the plug and crew them down tight. All common sense really :S :D
  4. I've tried my best to make this easy to understand and read etc - im sure if you need to post an image you'll read through carefully and it will all be pretty clear (Y) Good luck! Sam :D Step 1 Got to your control panel (located in the top right of the screen under the tile ‘My Controls’. Once there, click on ‘Your albums’ in the top right. If you don’t already have an album you may have to create one by clicking ‘create album’ – if you do have one simply select ‘upload image from the controls drop down menu. Give your picture a title and add any comments if you want then click browse to find the picture on your computer. After this is completed hit upload image. YOU HAVE NOW UPLOADED YOUR PICTURE TO TRIALS-FORUM Step 2 Now you need to go back to your album and this time instead of selecting ‘Upload’ – go for ‘View’ You should now get a page that has either lots of thumbnails or just the one thumbnail of the image you just uploaded. Either way click on the thumbnail of the image you want to upload. You should have the full sized image now. Right click on your image and select properties. You now need to select the address or URL of the image – make sure you select all of it by dragging down as the URL is usually quite long. I tend to paste this URL into a notepad for now or somewhere like that. Step 3 Go to your new topic or new post screen You need to click on the button named ‘IMG’ A window will now pop up and this is where you need to paste the URL you copied earlier CLICK OK AND THAT’S IT! You now are ready to click ‘Add Reply’ and your image will appear in your post :S
  5. hee hee sorry Butcha87 was just taking advantage of the fact that a crankflip on a push bike is also called a kickflip by a lot of people (Y) Back to the thread :S
  6. Good Point. Didn't think of that :"> It is done.
  7. Excuse me while I vomit.
  8. Bit like an allegory for the "war on terrorism" if you ask me.
  9. Keep your pedals level and roll along at a slow pace. You then need to twist your ankles and a bit of weight forwards and kick the pedals backwards as you lift your weight onto your arms. As the pedals do a full rotation bring yourself back downwards to meet them. It might be worth wearing shinpads when you practise this as it can mess up your shins quite a bit. (Y)" :">
  10. It's a poor effort im afraid... but here you go (Y) Click Here - If You Dare.... (Y))
  11. aah cheers Janson, i got it now (Y) Looks like i'll just have to leave it for now then (Y) By the way, have you changed your signature Janson? I'm sure it said something like 'the only way not to get caught is by not doing it' or something similar... ? meh, just caught my eye :D
  12. I'm not 100% what the difference between a dv cam and camera is if im honest!! Its a digital stills camera but has the capability of recording short clips. Cheers for help... Aye, of course thats the simplest option but for me personally it isn't an option - money is not my friend (Y)
  13. I quite like the pic but my face is a wee bit spazzed... (Y) (Picture taken about a week before the poor leeson schnapped (Y))
  14. But presumably if i just plug my camera into the usb port and download some kind of software it should work?
  15. As the title says. I'm presuming it can be done... so any takers? My googling powers don't seem to be up to scratch
  16. Try this... On a hot summers day, wake up in the morning and dont drink ANYTHING then go out in the sun and lie there for a couple hours, then go and ride your bike for 8 hours non stop. When you get home pic up a pair of your grandmothers really thick glasses and sit there with them on infront of the computer and type up an essay for a couple hours. Then play some death/thrash metal full blast in your ears. Then you'll know what a headache feels like
  17. Try this.... Toolbar >> Options >> Internet Options >> Security Then go to Custom Level. On this new window you need to go through an Enable all of the ActiveX ocntrols and plugins. That should sort it out
  18. Use a reasonable thickness inner tube. Slit another inner tube down the centre. Wrap this around the reasonable thickness inner tube. Tape it in place loosely. Cover the inner tube witl talcum powder or flour. Sprinkle loads of talcum powder around the inside of the tyre. Put the tube and tyre together. Ride.
  19. hehe, I do believe that’s the first time you've agreed with me Mark! So yeah Will it's basically what Mark said - If Shimano kept selling the same product every year there would be no need for people to buy the new years stock (unless things broke) and this is basically a catch 23 (much worse than catch 22!! (Y)) situation... Shimano products when used for XC like they were designed, with the exception of saint etc, are very very strong and good quality, which is why people buy it... But this means that they aren't going to buy next years because last years are still working great - hence innovation. Hope that clears it up  I'm crap at explaining things!
  20. Really? See us 'channel island-ers' wouldn't know that becuase we don't have television or newspapers or any form of media for that matter... (Y) :)
  21. I know it's not rocket poindexter... but I'm having problems visualising it. Because obviously he had to hcop some bits of the shifter and find a way of hold it there nicely without the whole shifter pod slipping when he shifts... Just curious and a little confused. Questions are crimes then? So shoot me.
  22. I really really like this idea, good work  Any chance of some close up pics showing exactly how its mounted? Cheers, Sam
  23. I can't think of the EXACT hub your talking about... BUT I know with the more expensive wheel sets XT XTR etc they use a similar design to the Mavic crossmaxs whereby the spokes slot into the hub the same way the spoke slots into the rim... straight in. This helps for less hub and theoretically a lighter wheel... that’s the idea anyway! I think the main problem with shimano and companies like them is that they are EXPECTED to innovate every year and this causes problems (hence the 'reinventing of the wheel' !) I mean the sti style levers they brought out last year was a BIG mistake, sram must have made so much money because of all the xc riders, dh riders and trials riders who use their products for a sport that suffers big problems with levers that flap up and down. So basically, just because something’s different to the norm doesn't mean it's any better. Things were better in the good old days, eh what!
