  1. Y'know what sucks? When people who have perfectly serviceable wheels buy new ones, when mine are f**ked and I can't afford replacements Look swanky man - you out tomorrow?
  2. Am I having a crazy moment, or is that head-angle majorly f**ked up? Looks SO slack.
  3. Because a couple of years ago (I think, maybe a bit more) a band of Mod's got particularly annoyed at the 12 year olds on the forum saying things like "pyfons *** innit", and put a word filter on "F-T-W". I'd guess they simply never removed it. Ask OBM - I seem to remember him being one of the figureheads
  4. I'm 21 in January Mod for everything riding-wise, but stock for looks. I'd like to ride a stock, they look SO much better proportioned, but I just feel so damn awkward on them. Even prefer my compy mod to my 609 for streety stuff I guess I'd adapt if given long enough - but I'm not gonna torture myself over it
  5. How much is "loads"? Is it brand new? Mine was dead tight when I first got it. Felt stiff even just to spin around. No wobble at all. If it's brand new and the lock-ring's tight, I'd send it back for definite.
  6. Out of curiosity - is it that someone else got the sole import rights [read: Trials-UK]? If it's not then I'd be interested to know, as I got a bunch of Bionic/Zhi bits imported from BTS, and they've been great so far.
  7. Agreed on that point - though seriously... Stop making posts like this. I know you're making a joke out of a silly-ish question - but it's kind of a valid question, too. Asking how to go bigger is silly sounding - but I think the implied question is "are there any techniques I don't know about?" If you run crazy low tyre pressure, try putting some more in. There's a point at which low pressure only absorbs power, as opposed to springing you back up. Also - assuming you get the timing right, the more preload you put in, the more power you'll get out. [Edit: Within reason ]
  8. They were nice enough last year. If they make them any more attractive, I'm going to have an accident :$
  9. That has to be the best riding spot on Earth Liked it, but didn't. Was nice to see "real clips", like just the riding. Gave it a different perspective to normal. Did get a bit boring though - part of me would've preferred a video with music/editing. Monstrous riding, either way.
  10. It's SO novel to read one of these threads and for once not have been involved in it.

That was cool man! Josh said we're supposedly heading over on Friday... Should be cool. Where did the Comp die?
  12. I'd STRONGLY advise NOT getting that stem. For starters, the two-bolt clamp is a pain in the arse. The clamp rarely grips bars tight enough to be usefull. After you've done it up and undone it any more than 6-7 times, the top half of the clamp cracks where they've counterbored too deep and nearly come out the other side, then it snaps off when you next try and do it up. Finally, they look like shite Real nice shape for these short Onza frames - had one on my Comp for a while - but other than the geometry, they majorly suck. This is going off personal experience, and Josh had the EXACT same issues. Both died within a couple of months use.
  13. I know you might be trying to keep it old-school, but that's TOO old-school. We measure weight in kilograms now Lovely lookin' bike.
  14. Just decided with Josh that we're heading to Oxford tomorrow. Will be getting there around 11:30/12ish... don't mind too much where to meet. We park in the industrial estate with the big rocks.... Anyone fancy joining us?
  15. Now I'm a naughty boy I'm afraid - but £75?! That's shocked me. That's 2.5 times the (student) price of the OS! Damn... They really know how to sting you once they've reeled you in, don't they!
  16. Oh man... That was AWESOME. Really enjoyed that. Do you ride alone, or is it just the way the video looks? Edit: Editing was ace. Almost like it told a story - though I have no idea what that story would be

I refuse to believe that first clip wasn't slow-mo'd It is actually weird how slow you move. Equally impressive is that huge-ass gap at the benches. Last time I was in Bristol - maybe 6 weeks ago - I had some difficulty doing that on a very compy-set-up mod! I know for a fact Inspireds are considerably more difficult to gap. Once again - an excellent choice in music.
  18. I couldn't possibly know that. PM one of the Poyzers or email/ring Onza/Supercycles/Rock'n'Roll Bikes.
  19. As the guy above me said... If you already know you like the Zoot Pro, get one of those...
  20. Blimey. That's a nice record! I've been riding 4 years have been water bled for 3 1/2
  21. Email him to place an order. Mine consisted of two frames, some bars and cranks, and postage cost £80. I'd guess just one frame would be a tad less.
  22. I tried doing it on the cheap with a BB7. Even coming from a relatively poor Magura - it just wasn't snappy enough. I ran it for maybe... a month? Was used on the front before-hand, so it was already bedded in, and it was a 203. I hear that that's just BB7 on the rear for you... If you want decent results - go for Hope. Never had one on the back - but everyone I asked concurred.

My oh my. Only videos of people riding an ES4 I've seen were from about 400 years ago Nice.
  24. Did you sign up and then stop riding for a while or something? I'm incredibly surprised you've never tried, let alone heard about people using water bleeds if you've been riding since '03. I thought it was like... the first "bodge" anyone and everyone did.
  25. Possibly ...But not acceptable.
