Very interesting indeed!
Will be interested to see how it lasts.
Seriously though Onza, on all your frames - STOP PUTTING BASH MOUNTS ON.
No-one uses them any more, they increase weight, get caught on things when you fail, and worst of all put a massive stress raiser on the downtube.
I strongly believe the 2010 Comp would have been one of the best mod frames ever made if it didn't have bash mounts or those crazy annoying dropouts.
Also - am I being a spacker or is that a 1.5" headtube? Looks humongous.
Get rid of the cable guides - zipties are lighter, cleaner looking, and don't cause any stress.
If those dropouts are the same as on the Comp 2010, get rid of them. They're a nice idea, but they're crazy annoying. Go back to the small simple ones for use with cams.
A non-curved seat-tube would be marginally lighter than a curved one, though perhaps that curve adds rigidity? I don't know.
Finally - are those gussets on the seat-tube for strengthening or aesthetics? I don't know huge amounts in this area but if they're not there for strength, get rid.
If you get rid of all those little bits of weight you simply don't need, you can use thicker tubing, making it a stronger frame whilst still sticking to the =<1kg target.
Screw appearance, attack it from a purely practical point of view.
Is post-mount really gonna happen?
Go for it, if it is - but it'll alienate a whole bunch of people to start with.
