  1. I forgot to specify in the email. Managed to wrangle a 3x/3x out of them. It's about 3.5mm out of dish, but I can handle that
  2. Yeah - it was. I actually need to change that as I sidehop to the left Thanks for super-quick postage once again I thought you guys had cocked up when you sent me one length of spoke for both sides of the front wheel. Can't believe both sides fit on the same length spoke when they're such different diameters!
  3. Went from short mod, to long mod. Progressed loads on long mod, snapped it, back to short mod. Start regressing loads, but decide I really like short chainstays, so here we go!
  4. Not been on the forum much of recent so it might've been posted already - but I just saw it for the first time... Edit: Haha. Literally JUST saw Rusevelt's post.
  5. I see. If you're reasonably certain you won't go rim brake - then there's little reason not to do the Comp. It's really up to you. Not sure on the Echo's geo - but the Comps are very nice to ride. If they're a similar geo, choose whichever looks better to you. Chainline will be fine. Pretty much the standard - and if you think about it, neither of the cogs will be effected in their off-central placement by a new frame. Rear sprocket is on hub, which won't change, and freewheel is on cranks, which is on the end of the BB axle, which will still be central to the frame.
  6. Dodgy brake mounts are a nightmare. If you have no choice they are survivable, but avoid them at all costs (unless you plan on helicoiling them).
  7. I cannot find the words to properly describe my disappointment that there is no HS33 option of the 20" Curve.
  8. Hi. Riding's gone seriously downhill since going back to a shorter mod - and it's getting me depressed Looking at getting a longer frame, and really like the look of the Born mods (HS33). Thing is - they're pretty light, and I'm not particularly smooth. Quite the contrary, in fact Has anyone had any experience with them? What are they designed for? Hopefully not a comp frame. I ride street 90% of the time, and like trying to go big. Saw that video of Diego Magno on one and it took a beating in that, but there's no saying how long it'll last after Geo is exactly what I want, but I don't wanna buy it and snap it. Nearest competition is looking like the Echo 2011, but I kinda think that if you think your bike looks better, you'll get some sort of placebo effect, think that means it IS better and thus ride better. Help is much appreciated, or suggesting alternatives (but not Rockman. Too worried of snapping them to even consider it).
  9. Today?! I thought we had another 18 months!
  10. Super-cool, but pro tip: your bike has a front wheel
  11. I feel like I just had my first religious experience. That was divine.
  12. What colour would that be then? Deng pretty much rinsed the stock of previously unused colours Does look nice, but downtube looks obese. and headtube looks berserk.

Very nice. I used to love aggressive videos like this, then I got really snobby, and now I'm realizing I like them again Any idea on the music? Sounds like Ronald Jenkees meets The Glitch Mob, but more repetitive.
  14. Any idea why? I can only assume I'm wrong, but I'd've thought they'd make them all on the same production line, and then send them off to different finishing areas. Are the different colours slightly different models, or is there a strengthening agent in the black paint?
  15. Haha. I like how altered your avatar has become over time, too.
  16. I agree with what you're saying - but I am shocked that it was you that said it! Always thought you were the "if it's reliable and strong, I don't care if it adds some weight" type. I also see that there's no need for it to be needlessly heavy and it'll only improve the product as a whole - but yeah... You surprise me
  17. Just doesn't feel like a Braunschweig video without lashings of Monties and Grosenik. Massive riding, however

    Ben Rowlands 24"

Exquisite. Wanted more so the song could continue. Like that album quite a lot - unlike your tyres
  19. They're reasonably easy to find, if you get on the right streets. It's just a massive American style grid, meaning everything looks the same, so we got rather lost once or twice If you tackle it systematically it shouldn't be to bad - there's bits and bobs EVERYWHERE, but some bits are better than other bobs, y'know? Lots of good riding to be had though, that's a cert
  20. The main rider in the video (Josh) has a Because fixed hub, and Ben (the other one) has a Hope ProII Trials.
  21. Four of us went to Milton Keynes. I was injured, so only filming; Sam was recovering and I managed not to get any clips of him; Ben was riding, as you can see, but Josh was absolutely dominating. It occurred as follows...
  22. That hubshell looks dangerously similar to the ProIIt's the one before last that cracked all the time Hope it IS beefier
