  1. You sir, are the champion of Trials Forum. This is the sole best thread it's ever seen.
  2. The brakes are a bit iffy in my opinion, but if Deng would just put some more sweep on his bars he would have an AMAZING out-the-box full build! So good lookin'!
  3. Whoa! For starters, I thought the "" and "" would have done a fairly good job of implying humor - I realize this is not a bike suited to Mark, and my earlier comment makes that clear. Secondly; calm down! If people get in to trials and only ride trials - what's the problem with that? Football is played on a field with posts and a ball, but people don't look down on them because they don't also play rugby. "I don't get why so many people get in to ball sports, to not want to ever pick the ball up in there hands, or have a scrum." Other areas of cycling just don't interest some people, and that's fine. I have a road bike with -25 BB, but that hasn't made me stop and think "Hang on, +80?! That's WAY higher than a bike that's designed for riding fast in straight lines and gentle corners! It must be horrible for jumping up and down walls!" You have to understand that this bike isn't designed with riders like you in mind. The style of trials you ride (assuming you're a regular Inspired rider) is more closely related to street riding than competition trials. Of course they will have different geometries - they're for very different tasks. And since when did people competing NOT want the most suitable tool for the sport? Finally - that mods don't roll is pure shit, to be honest. True - they don't roll as easy as others - but it's not as if you slow to a stop within 5 meters of not pedaling. Bikes are practically designed. Yes - you might ride streety bikes for trials, the two mix rather well, but that doesn't make a "pure" trials geometry is a bad thing when it's used for what it's designed for. Also, saying "This bike is for f**kers only! Anyone who is even slightly excited by it i think is a moron." makes you sound like a moron. Do you feel the same way about bike messengers in busy cities riding fixies? They can't coast anywhere! How moronic is that? Edit: Thinking on it - I don't know any high BB riders that are aggressive towards a low BB. Never do you hear "Low BB?! Pah! That's a thing of that past and should be abolished!"
  4. Then try harder When you DO get used to it, it is so good.
  5. Doesn't make it a bad thing, either. I know I'm a lot more comfortable on the +80 Lite than the +50 Levelboss. Makes me ride better. Maybe your style is just too far removed from the style this bike is made for that it doesn't sit right in your head. I know a low BB doesn't work for me.
  6. KX as in Tesco's horrible tasting energy drink?
  7. That's a super sweet set up to have in your garden! Nice riding too
  8. Any higher and the top-tube/"seat"stays will have to be made an obtuse angle purely for chain clearance Good to see experimentation, but I doubt it'll work. Having said that, a few years ago +50 was the standard and we're at 75ish now...
  9. Edit: Oh I see - it's been put in the radfest thread. Never mind.
  10. I'm thinking of going - but it's rather a long way and would like to go halves on petrol money. Looks like I'd be going on my own otherwise, so have a spare seat. Not bought a ticket yet, but will if I'm driving someone else there.
  11. Nice riding, but I'm afraid to say the star of the show was your rear brake. That thing sounds absolutely savage! Does it perform as the sound suggests it might?

    Trackball Mices.

Never used it for gaming, but a friend had one of these and the accuracy/feel of it was very nice indeed.

Easy Muffin by Amon Tobin, from the album Bricolage. Cheers

    Easy Muffin

There's a good reason for that

Me Thanks guys! It could've been better had I been filming on the Coventry and Leeds rides, but I forgot to charge the camera. Brakeless is a lot of fun. Think I might keep at it for a good while. Edit: Also - I spent a while tuning the colours. Did I take it too far, or is it Ok?
  16. Nice one dude! Castle park sidehop is massive! Gap to bench in the art college too. Beast.
  17. So were you going 'round copying (and often one-upping on) Kyle, or was he copying you? Wicked riding in both videos. You should make more!
  18. I'd rather that. Shindigs are rather unpleasant, but they don't cost anything to heal. New forks are £100
  19. Haha. Not biased by any chance, are you? I was dubious as soon as I heard Rockman were attempting a street frame. Hex's look a lot nicer too.
  20. Whatever happened to the Switch? I'd forgotten about them until reading this. Must've been really bad. I was having a similar problem - though not with BB rise. Turns out I prefer a long mod with short chainstays, but I'm a basher. Then the Echo came out. In summary - don't worry... One'll come along soon (so long as people like you keep making their complaints public ).
  21. I couldn't own it, 'cause I really can't get on with stocks, but that is achingly pretty. Back when I first started, that was the bike I always wanted 'cause they looked so nice, but brakeless... Even better.
  22. I'd say so. That's where they all crack if they don't go on the 4bolt mounts, so you can't think they might last. Probably worth getting whoever does it to weld a gusset on top as well. Might make it last a little longer.
  23. On about half the solo-rides, never with company. Assorted electronica (normally) when I do.
