  1. I can't speak in defence of the Magura, but my Echo was nothing great. It was really spongy even with a booster (not the fault of the frame or bleed. Other brakes were fine on the frame and tried several re-bleeds), and they can't hold water bleeds.
  2. Stick with about 20 for a while, it's what most people seem to run. Don't make a conscious decision about pressure... Leave it until you think, "Gee, I wish I could roll for a bit longer!" or "Golly gosh, these impacts are so jarring!". Change accordingly.

Yay Chris is better! Good riding in there, but the slow motion got a bit tiresome.

    The Change

I can't decide how I feel about this guy. Some stuff in there is really awesome, but some other things - the more "wacky" bits as someone else put it further up the thread - are really lame. Torn between loving and hating
  5. Or if you don't have stiff fitting pads, you can clamp some mole grips on the nipple, pull the piston out until you can turn them at 45 degrees and rest them on the prongs that guide the pad out.

Awfully sorry about that. Perhaps you should see your GP concerning a nervous disposition?

    Brakeless Mod

I realize this, and said as such - or are you saying that weight has absolutely nothing to do with it? That's not what your post says, but is it's what you meant?

Yeah - they are... But they have to go higher to get the bigger wheel on top. It evens out.
  9. Look, you don't HAVE to come. Go have your own ride elsewhere if you hate us that much

Perhaps. Maybe once I've got a tyre with siome bloody tread on it. Superslick at the moment. Might try making a footjam plate too Thanks everyone

There's nothing wrong with them at all. A lot of people just don't like the way they ride. Feeling's always mutual though - I've yet to have a go on an Inspired that I could bear to ride for more than 10 minutes There's also a few jokers who think 'cause they're smaller/lighter/easier to ride, that it's cheating. Still - they've taken great pains to make their stocks lighter and have more suitable geometry, so I guess they're cheating too

I rather agree with you there. I do believe that if they didn't do this sort of thing, more people would hear the music and want to buy it. Lots of people don't even KNOW how to pirate stuff. Just don't think it's in their interest - and it's certainly not in ours.

    Mr Zebra

I've found I enjoy solo rides much more if I'm filming for a video, and of recent I've had a string of unsatisfactory rides. This was the result of a couple of hours in Bunny Edit: Bloody Warner Music Group Currently uploading to Vimeo, will edit when done. Edit 2: Right, well here's the link, but it's not even going to START getting converted for another half an hour. I guess the conversion'll take 10/15 minutes, so I'm going to bed. Should be live around midnight.
  15. I'm not a welder/fabricator, but from what I gather from Josh - who IS a welder/fabricator - whilst re-heat treating it will be better than just welding and leaving it, it'll never return to the state it was before being re-welded. If I was in your place, I'd leave it. Any crack in the headtube area seems like a bad plan, but on a Sky, it sounds like suicide. Edit: D'Oh!
  16. This is so funny... I've literally just finished editing a mini-video to a song called Mr Zebra (30 minutes to go on the upload), and now I see your new bike looks like this! Will it be alright adding a gusset now you've already cooked it? Superpimp! Can't wait for tomorrow (assuming you're still out)!
  17. I believe you when you say there is bigger to come - you continually demolish limits so it's hard to imagine you won't do it again - and you may well have gotten it first time, I'm not disputing that. Neither am I suggesting that you do know how big it is. What I don't agree with is you saying it's "not that big". You can't possibly think that. It's got to be getting on for half again as high as a lot of higher level riders can manage, and most people probably wouldn't look at it as a hook. Just to prove my point, if you really don't think it's impressive, why did you 4x/8x slo-mo it? People don't do that to things they think are not worthy of note.

    I Love This Video!

Rich should DEFFINATELY have stuck with Echo's. What a monster! I remember enjoying this video first time 'round, but it's still as good.
  19. If that were street riding, it would've been your best video to date. As it stands, unfortunately (and I understand it's good fun, but) natural riding is just boring to watch for me. Impressive, but not so exciting, though the lack of dramatic poses makes a rather large improvement Edit: Watching this prompted looking back at your old videos on the Echo... Whatever was "karsonlevoret"?
  20. Hooking a full sus frame?! Holy moly!
  21. Land the front wheel right on the corner so that you pivot around it, which rolls you up on top just enough to switch through - and leeeeaaaaan foooorwaaaaards. When you're over the bars enough you feel like you're gonna tip over, you're almost far enough
  22. Pendulum's Hold Your Colour album :$
  23. Yep. Getting ready for my final year of uni next year. Feel like I should actually do some proper research this time around. Reading at my usual pace last year, it proved impossible to source enough material. Bummer. This was one of the suggested techniques on various sites, and those six words just don't register at all. More often than not missing six consecutive words out of a sentence changes it's meaning rather drastically, so it doesn't work for me
  24. I'm sure some of you must have either looked in to or developed this skill for use with studies/work. I read slightly below average speed, but I need to change that. Been reading through lots of different instruction sites, and the methods on there have no doubt sped my reading up a bit, but not to anywhere near the speeds they quote. If I force those sort of speeds, I have probably a <10% comprehension at the end of it. Does it come with time? Most guides seem to make out once you know the theory behind it, it comes pretty easy - which doesn't seem to be happening.
