  1. I think he was more referring to the fact that in every single shot of the full bike, you (or whoever took the pictures) clipped bits off They're nice - I considered one of the R20's whilst I was framehunting, but the lack of Magura mounts put me right off. Also cost way more than I was prepared to spend. I do love the look of 'em though.
  2. Don't know about rims, but the seller is sound. I made an order last year and it was all fine. 10 day to arrive, but postage costs a reasonable sum so it's not really worth it unless you do a big order. I got two frames, a set of bars and cranks and the postage was ~£45
  3. I'd say it's not. I ride quite a lot and my stamina is absolutely terrible.
  4. YES. Love you for that! Looking from that, they got worse as time went on Massive stuff in there, even by today's standards.
  5. It's not very helpful since I can't find it, but hopefully the description will remind someone who has a link of it. There's a reasonably old video of the Braunschweig gang on bright green/yellow Monties. I don't know when it was... 2000ish? Maybe before, but they're still bunnyhopping and hooking some ridiculously high shit. I'd love to see it again if anyone knows the one I'm on about. Edit: It might've been this one, but I'm sure there was a longer one with more than one rider in from a similar time.
  6. For me: Echo has the cool tensioners and the fantastic Spanish BB. Ozonys has the looks, but only just. Mk2 is very nice looking. I've not heard huge amounts about them, but heard of more Ozonys cracking than Echos too. But they're both stocks, so I wouldn't get either of them
  7. Is that the place with all the ruins/abandoned construction/whatever it is that looks AWESOME fun? I want to go there.
  8. Sweet. Looks like your legs were just about long enough How come you're not testing your own forks?
  9. I've wanted to see someone up there for SO long. I'd've put money on it being you if you weren't so damn far away most the time, but it was you anyway! Haha. Awesome.
  10. Nice! Nice to have an edit rather than five individual clips for once Fun to watch and dead precise-looking.
  11. Having a big, soft, squidgy rear tyre removes the capability for gaps since landing skewed - the only way of stopping - causes the tyres to fall off the rim Mine only get squidgy when I'm inch-pinching sidehops nowadays Too impractical otherwise.

So big. So good. I miss up-to-fronts so much
  13. Sweet. Loving how tech most people seem to be going at the minute.

Holy crap. Tech, massive and generally badass. There is NO need for a brake so savage as that. You could punch someone in the face as hard as you like and it'd do less damage than that brake would to their ears Tank.
  15. People will give you arguments such as the above concerning pedal clearance on the wall... Another favorite is that it's easier to tuck further going away from your front foot since there is no foot/pedal obstructing where your hips would naturally want to move to. I can't help but feel that these slight advantages are far outweighed by your discomfort on the manouvre, so I'd say keep going the way you prefer, but try going the other way every now and then just in case your mind switches without you realizing. Also try going the other way sometimes for no more reason than it being good practice You just identified my personal hell I wish I didn't used to be so into TGS. It's ruining my life just at the moment.
  16. Front rim brakes are the work of the devil. Front brakes, in my opinion in order of preference: Hope Tech/Shimano Saint (never tried, but they've an excellent reputation) > BB7 > Hope Trial > Echo TR > BB5 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> SD7 > Other Vees > Magura. If your cable disk is a BB7, just read some tips on how to set it up. I had one for the majority of the time I had brakes and they really are good if you set them up right. If it's an old BB7, it might be worth considering new pads/rotor. Hope Tech's really are worth the money though.
  17. No problem with it. I know three people that do it. People only class it as the "wrong" way because so many more people prefer to go away from their front foot. I used to go your way, but one day suddenly switched. Wasn't a decision, just realized I found the other way easier all of a sudden. Go whichever way you prefer.
  18. I had one took 21. No I don't have proof. Stop going on about it. Shindigs aren't cool.

I wasn't gonna say 'cause I thought it was just be me being spastic, but yeah - a little. About an inch of difference between wheel centres.

I've had mine around three months now and think it's fair to say I've given it an absolute pasting for the entire duration. Loads of dents and scratches (all my fault), but no cracks, dodgy joints or signs of giving up whatsoever. Very strong frame, but my geometry was a little out (extra 10mm than I specified on the wheelbase) and it was almost two months between ordering and receiving. If you can wait, you'll get a good quality, custom geo, nigh on indestructible frame for just over £200.
  21. I can't believe the amount of awesome shit that's popping up on the day of my deadline. Positively gasping for a ride after that. Love all the styles and bikes, and the spot looks so much fun!
