  1. Been curious to see you on it since you posted that you'd got it. Think it was probably a good idea to switch after all Nice.
  2. I know, right? That's totally why I wish clutch hubs were better.
  3. Meh. Why don't we just coat the inside of brake hoses with a layer of hydrophobic paint, if we're getting in to this seriously? Edit: As well as the inside of the cylinders and the pistons.
  4. So did I - but I was so bad at setting them up I reverted to a mag The times I got Josh set it up for me it performed notably better than any Magura/Echo I've had, but I don't like having to get other people to set my bike up for me Another vote for Vees rather than tank brake fluid. Staryarm, you made a suggestion which you thought might work. People gave you fairly hard evidence that it will be to oil as oil is to water, and you're going to do it anyway? As you said - it's free so there's not much to lose, but you know it's going to be worse... I'm all for experimentation, but if the theory behind said experiment states it'll be worse than the original we moved away from, it seems like a waste of effort.
  5. Bitch please, Ross Clayton is SO last year. That was cool. Super glad people are starting to bring variation in again, but those barspins look really weird... I'm learning them too and never thought to try like that. Might give it a go - but it still seems like cheating a little Experimented with a stiffer gearing? You seem to do a lot of rollbacks having to backpedal like crazy all the time. You get used to it for more trialsy stuff, but I guess I'm not one to talk since I run lighter than most people
  6. Brakeless > dual disc > front disc rear mag > front disc rear vee > front vee rear mag > dual mag > dual vee > front vee rear disc > front mag rear disc > front brakeless rear disc > front brakeless rear mag > front brakeless rear vee > front disc rear brakeless > front vee rear brakeless > front mag rear brakeless.
  7. It was indeed. It was that last clip the seems to have stolen most people's attention
  8. Thanks even more! I'm starting to get to grips with them a bit. Trouble is, I can only bunnyhop UP things. Trying to bunnyhop over something (object or gap), and especially off something results in me shitting a brick and either nosediving or crashing headlong in to it I don't know why - just a psychological thing. I'm trying though, 'cause I know you're right - already I can often get up higher things with a bunnyhop than with taps/pedalhops/sidehops.
  9. Thanks everyone I'm going to bed feeling good about myself tonight because of you!
  10. Carl, though technically it was yesterday:

That was super awesome. Totally remember watching your videos in the past!
  12. This was supposed to be a full, proper video, but I've just gotten fed up of trying to film and letting myself down. To say my riding is inconsistent would not even come close to the truth, though if you'll let me, I'd like to blame it on winter Here's a short video packed with clips, rather than the clips strung out over a long video. Crash/Bail video for these clips en route - I'll edit when it's up. Edit 1: I forgot to apologize for that HORRENDOUS 360 over the dropgap to mud thing. I hate it as much as you do, but I was too inconsistent/tired/just not good enough to do anything about it. Edit 2: The crashes:
  13. Fine by me. Look for two brakeless riders. You'll have to look 'cause you won't hear us before you see us as you normally would
  14. CalopS and I will be there. Possibly Cocky and Pogo. Not sure on them yet though. 10:30 on Brown Lane?
  15. It wasn't me, but I remember watching a clip of Rowan Johns flatspot his rim with his ass
  16. Cocky's first ride on the X-Ray.
  17. Kortz 2/.5 much with that green front end? Lush.

    Mini Master 2

I expect it'll not be long before he's posting videos of you saying "look how good Jack's getting!"

Dead boring TGS I'm afraid, and not very big TGS at that. Fun day though. Mostly went out with the intent of catching some silly crashes on video, though only two occurred and neither when the camera was pointed at us Super-squidgy tyres offer marginally better grip than harder tyres

    Tgstreet!

That was cool, but too much slo-mo. Zoot's pimpin' in the dark red!
  21. They're both very good bikes. Get whichever you prefer the geometry of. If you like them both, get whichever you think looks the best. If you can't decide which looks better, get the cheaper one so you can buy replacements when it breaks
  22. I would've thought you'd be Ok. Just try and keep the curves as gentle as possible
  23. Forgot about that. Normally find my way here from the main page so don't often see the subtitles.
  24. Technically, it's a "Little Wheels Thread", and their wheels are very small indeed
