  1. I can't shed any light, but I do agree. One of my favourite riders!
  2. My next bars are going to be Hoping to couple them with a shorter stem to keep the same bar height but rein in the reach a bit. Bit concerned about the less sweep though. Been on a few friends' bikes with them and wasn't too keen. I reckon that's mostly 'cause they're so much wider, which shan't be a problem when they meet Mr. Hacksaw
  3. The shape of Monty 221 risers makes them very comfortable indeed. Same goes for the 7075 Rockbars.
  4. This threw me off. I didn't know there was to be a Genesis mod. My bad. But my point still stands
  5. Holy crap. I don't think I've ever known anyone progress as consistently as him... Every single time I see a video of - or in very rare cases ride with - him, he's very much improved since the last time! Monster! Gonna be weird seeing him on stock though.
  6. I'd like to take a moment to point out that a "#" is not a "hashtag", as most people appear to think. A "#" is a "hash". It has several uses ranging from preceding a numerical value to denote an index number, through to commonly being used to indicate a "sharp" note in musical notation (despite a "sharp" actually having it's own, slightly different symbol: ♯). It becomes a "hashtag" only when it's directly succeeded by a modifier used to tag a tweet to a topic of converse on Twitter. All hashtags are #s, but not all #s are hashtags. Please remember this. People not understanding things that happen on the internet has already ruined so many things. [Edit: Only became only.]
  7. Thanks guys, and especially Tarty! (I can say that now )
  8. Rock'n'Roll, and Onza? That's just greedy Cool video. I like seeing people getting better in every video they put out.
  9. Please don't do an Ashton on us and string us along forever before actually releasing these! I'm gonna need a new drivetrain in the not-too-distant future, and your 96 click has been so good to me I'd be highly inclined to go with this rather than Trialtechs and an SL.
  10. There are some very talented riders in France. Music was awful, but the level of riding featured somewhat compensated for it
  11. 360 footjam downside whip is worthy of ANYONE's respect.
  12. Just as a point of reassurance, I bought an Echo Lite 2011, rode it for two months with brakes, and one without, by which time it had cracked in seven places. Three of them were half-way-'round-the-tube cracks, and all of them along or through welds. I've been riding my Marino for over six months now, and I've been very unkind to her - the downtube resembles the surface of the moon, and the chainstays an emo's wrist - but there's absolutely no sign of it cracking. You need more to worry about head angles as he seems to get them a bit off with some regularity. Mine is, Leon said above that his is, and I know of two more for definite. One as bad as asking for 74.5* and receiving 76*. They are very solid though, and it's only the head angle that's out (which resulted in a longer wheelbase - but yeah...). If by some chance you DO crack it, it doesn't even matter as you can get it welded with absolutely no worry about heat treatment.
  13. Seriously? It's probably got something to do with them looking absolutely divine, being hugely popular, and considered about the most upmarket frame currently on the trials market. If they can make an almost exact replica and sell it on cheaper than the Koxx, they're bound to make a metric f**kton of money. Sure it's unoriginal, but since when is profit about originality? Have you not wondered how, since Koxx went super high BB, almost every other company has done the same? Koxx are like a hyper-brand in a clothing company. They dictate the fashions/trends of the time because they're the most sought after frames.
  14. Wait... You mean he rides for Monster?!
  15. Cool Did you switch from mod to 24, or 24 to mod? You look a lot more comfortable on the mod. Sidehop to rails are dead scary, especially round ones. Kudos.
  16. Hahahaha. That's just ridiculous. Some bits are dead nice (booster, rear dropout and rear lever blade etc), but some bits are mega gash (fork dropout, butt of toptube and seattube etc) Wonder if he got bored, or if there were two people on the job, one of who was considerably more talented than the other
  17. The Aurem would be slightly easier to pin on the front wheel, and a bit higher BB which'll make it a bit twitchier. I know they're not the worst of the Rockmans, but if you're after something a bit more durable, that's a very similar geometry to the Echo Lite 2011. I know it might be a boring suggestion as everyone under the sun has one, but there's good reason for that.
  18. Oh my GOD. I already had him down as a god, but 1:09?! Florent Soulas for the absolute win!

    Andrew Dickey

I forgot how much I love this dude's riding.
  20. I don't know what they are, but I know they're not Onzas. I've had plenty of them - enough to know they're a much Limeyer ( ) green. I'd also hedge my bets on Rock Greens, but that's pure guesswork.
  21. Supremely awesome. That dropgap crash was dirty! Made me super want to ride - but I've gotta work all day Brilliant video.
  22. I really want to ride Bristol now Nice riding Mr McCabe!
  23. Silllllllkkkkyyyy! Loved everything about that except your bars. Honest to God I don't know how people ride with them. They've got SO little sweep. Seriously smooth though!
