Good god! Over-reaction much? I was commenting that it makes riding on two wheels look very uncomfortable, and that for the short time I tried it I really didn't like it. I didn't even IMPLY having bars like that should be illegal and everyone who does it should be shot, as it sounds like you think I said outright. I never said it didn't work, either! Competing at such a high level, the only reason people would do it if they didn't like it would be a massive shout for attention, and it's probably not that, seeing how much he already gets. Honestly - you're more touchy than someone who rides an Inspired having just been told he's a BMXer!

Stop riding super TGS. I'm not saying turn super street, I'm saying stop riding TGS exclusively. At a spot, if you ride TGS, once you've done the biggest thing there you can manage of each move, that's the whole spot over. If you throw some less big, more tech stuff in there, spots immediately open out with loads of new stuff to do. Manuals are great for linking bits of lines together, even if it's only from a gap to a sidehop 180s also grant you a smooth entry to going at things the "wrong way". I had the same thing, and still do occasionally. Focus less on going big, and more on complexity (and LINES, rather than individual moves).

Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig! Some of that was massive, but often the camera angle made it look smaller than the same spot does in other videos. Still awesome watching material, though. Was that Pisanka on a 26", or a regular person on a 24"? I can't believe how tall he is!

Time after time... SERIOUSLY IMPORTANT: Please read, and take note of the information in the following link. http://theoatmeal.com/comics/apostrophe It's sooooooooo damn irritating

When did YOU become a mod?! Not been on here as much, recently, so apologies if it's been ages I'd also put a Tensile96 as a runner up to the SL. My Tensile ran for three years, and only skipped once, just before blowing up - and bear in mind just how much pressure brakeless puts on freewheels! Only put the SL above it as it has a few more engagements, and there's a lower percentage of people have had issues with them.

The angle it puts the riders wrists at. People with bars that far forwards also look really "laid out" - as in - parallel to the floor, which looks as if it makes being on two wheels a real hassle. A good example of this was the comp footage posted not long ago. Everyone else was fine when they got on to the skinny beams and had to roll along them, but Jack Carthy looked very uncomfortable and quite unstable. Granted, I've not tried bars like that for a period long enough to really get used to them, but it both hurt my wrists, and I felt my weight was distributed in all the wrong places. Edit: Forgot to say - that really was "some decent mod riding". That was a highly apt topic name!

It doesn't just look awesome Difference is in geo. Marino was 1030 WB (longer than I asked because he got HA wrong), 69.5 HA (asked for 71), 615 reach, +70 BB and 350 CS. Jaf is 980 WB, 73 HA, 595 reach, +70 and 350 CS.

Yeah... You might make it look like a Skye, but you'll not even get CLOSE to having it ride the same. Hugely different geometried frames.

Not yet. Finding a place to heat treat them is proving very difficult. They all want big orders to make it worth their while - which is totally understandable. It's something he's very eager to offer when that obstacle's overcome though, from the way he talks about it.
-
I hate them. They have so little sweep, which I find horrible.

I'd just like to point out that - whilst I think I've been on two rides that you were also on - you were equally "cowardly". The first ride, apparently in Leeds, you were so quiet and shy I didn't even know you were there. Nor would I have known who you were if I had - it was only from the couple of videos you put out just before Radfest that I knew what you look like. Which brings me neatly on to the second ride. True - I said not one word to you. But you also exhibited a stunning silence any time I was around. I didn't talk to you, as I don't WANT to talk to you. I have no topic in my mind that I think I even MIGHT want to discuss with you. The times people give you shit on here is in response to something objectionable you've posted. Since you were as mousey as you accuse everyone else of being, there was nothing to object to and so you got left well alone. The closest you came to proving your uncowardly ways was apparently a couple of stare-outs with Kyle whilst I was seated facing away from you, of which I was also blissfully unaware until he told me about them. I'm not saying I'm not a coward - I know I am - I'm just wanting to point out that you are equally so. Now going to adhere to Stan's request. It's just that you keep making this statement, and it's so hypocritical I had to retort.

You're kind of missing my point. I wasn't really that interested in your grammar - I was using my being super immature and pointing out your mistake as a point of comparison about how immature you sound making that comment concerning Mark.
-
Right. Well if we're gonna be THAT babyish, it's "you're", not "your".
-
Yeah. I know what you meant, and I can't think of a better word either - it just read funny "Accessible", maybe?
-
Almost tangible? Is that to say he's mostly insubstantial? Haha.

I was always amazed by how high some of you were expecting... Turns out you were a little to cynical! http://www.monty.com.es/images/ComunicadooficialM5E.jpg 2,500 euros (£1,970) for dual mag. 2,800 euros (£2,206) for dual disc. 1,600 euros (£1,260) for frameset (frame, forks and bars). For saying it's the first carbon frame to be on the retail market, I think that's pretty reasonable. Especially when saying the Sky2 mod is very nearly £2,000. As for the frame itself... If you assume the carbon forks are similarly priced to the Koxx Karbons (£300) and the bars somewhere around the others on the market (~£120), the frame works out at somewhere around £840. I think that's not actually overpriced. Certainly room for it to come down when other companies move to rival it though - much as the Sky2 has gone from £729 at the time of making this thread (<1 year ago) to £599 at current.
-
1050, 355, +70 and 71* sounds a very nice geo. Probably the only one that'd ever tempt me away from mod, if I ever wanted to. (Maybe shorter WB and a steeper HA to compensate, as a certain frame has recently revealed to be awesome.)
-
I thought it was a ridiculously long time at first, but now I'm super glad the deadline's so much later than the comp's initiation. This rain is making riding impossible, and it's not set to let up any time soon!
-
Disappointed he doesn't wear his fancy costume all the time. Comps, training, shower and bed. It should be fused to his skin. Or at the very least tattooed underneath it too, so even when he takes it off it still LOOKS like he's wearing it.
-
...It probably did. Postage can be quick these days.
-
Cack. That's the first time I've made that mistake. I'm so ashamed :$ Looking at Facebook pictures, you're not so similar as I thought. At the time, you were a dead ringer though.
-
I saw you hopping around. You look EXACTLY like a rider from a village near me. It's uncanny. I did a double take wondering what the hell he was doing on a stock
-
Are you trying to imply these bars won't be as good as other products because they have the same length warranty as everything else?
-
Awesome! Did you not ride with anyone else at all?
