So - all my life, I've wanted to make music. Never knew what type - but it was just something I wanted to do. I went to a friend's gig the other night. They're the Ultimate Rave Machine. It was AMAZING. Also found Loucust Toybox, Ratatat, and Aphex twin. (Find the last two yourself - I've lost the links...) I want to make something like a combination of all four. I got Sony Acid, an effect pedal with a pre-amp, and various other things I might need - and I just can't do it. I can record things, I can make rhythms... I can make synth bits, but I can't put any of it all together. I can't even get CLOSE to anything sounding like Locust Toybox (whom are about my favourite). Anyone out there with electro/whatever this is knowledge? I've been sat here for eight hours, twice. I have nothing to show for it. Please help? I'm very depressed, and feel totally wasted. This is what I've always wanted to do - and, try as I might, I just can't f**king do it. I could very well just forget about it, but every time I go to a gig - I'll just want to try again. It'll probably entail some lengthy discussions on MSN or whatever - but I'm desperate. Please? Is there anyone that can help me?

If you have an Ashton, and curly long-ish hair - yes. If not - maybe.

1) I'm used to having lots of pull I don't adapt very easily to changes on my bike... I can pick other people's up and ride them as if they were mine straight that way though 2) I could - but I fancy sounding like a pimp, and saying "I've got custom bike parts" to everyone 3) Aye.... I never went before they were there - still new to trials really, but I'm told you're right, and that they're relatively recent.

Long have I awated for someone to put voice to how I felt... I could never find the words. ...Ok - hardly long - I've only been on the forums a year or so - but you get the point

Yeah - but I like to have a full grip on the bars.... So if I were to use my middle finger - the index finger gets crushed. As for gripping with just the last two - I'm used to having all four, or three and one on the brake. Continually riding with three, and holding the index out, is hard enough already

We went for a ride the other day - and here's what came from it. Nice and calm for once... No Pendulum here Boumsong's on an alright day - and I'm finding out just how hard it is to ride in my situation. If you didn't know - I've loped half my finger off. It's the right index - so there's no front-wheel stuff from me. It's also INCREDIBLY hard to do anything much... I hate to sound like I'm shit because of it - but it's not healed yet, so I can't even get a custom lever made, or grip the bars properly. Y'might not think it'd be that hard - but when it's forced on you, it's a different story. I can't stress enough - please don't think I'm saying "I've lost some of my braking finger. Take pity on me, and tell me how good I am for my situation."... I hate people like that. Music... Good man. Very pleased there's someone especially high up in the ranks that's actually thinking. I expect it's all too easy to think "size, size, size" when you're as good as yourself. You make me proud to be a rider that you're still trying new ideas out too My Respect / My Opinion * You = Lots.

I'm gonna have to go with the crowd, and say "Christ... You nutty b*****d!" - though I'm a little dissapointed it wasn't as innovative as the last one. ...Or are you saving all those types of move for Vid 7? The magnitude of the things in there blew me away - but I much preferred seein you invent tap-overs, taps to movings gates, and tap a moving gate to front. Hope to see more of that sort of stuff in #7. Nice one man.

Why are people whinging about the dark photo's? Is it because someone's gone to the effort of taking an extrordinarily good picture - instead of the normal "I'll hold my camera-phone at a disorientating angle, with really bad quality so I can say it's in better condition than it is... Uh huh huh huh. That'll be an ace picture." I love them. Congratulations dude - excellent pictures, with a nice bike

I took all these pictures - as I can't ride at the moment. This is why: Cut part of my finger off at work. The main problem being as follows: When it's Ok to use, I'll be getting a custom made lever - so it should all be Ok. Anyway.... On with Boumsong's pictures.... Just a chilled out ride for him - as there was no-one to push him on. Him. sidehop - in VERY cold weather.... so the warmup was very slow Up to front, then wheel switch. Quite a bit higher sidehop. 'Bout 7 pallets. Gap. Plain and simple... Further down.... Wheel swap... ...To there. Then we found something rather sinister... ...A noose. sidehop. Drop Gap. Same gap as before - but the other way, and up to front. Over to front on the darker piece of concrete. Gap. It actually rises about a foot and a half.... Bigger than it looks. And now... an insane gap - which doubles up as the best picture of the day!! I know they're not very good - but I just wanted to put up some pictures of the day
