  1. Wicked. Ta. When I say I don't eat healthy - I don't mean chippies, McD's and kebabs all around. I mean that I'm not a health nut who doesn't eat chocolate, and lives off fruit, veg, fish and health-shakes
  2. You know it's Christmas when you feel that burning desire to pick wailing people (aka 'Carol Singers') off your doorstep with an air rifle.
  3. So know barely anything of the human anatomy/biology, so I'm gonna ask you guys I don't eat healthy, and my stamina is rather apalling. I do go out riding at least every other day though... Usually every day, for about 2-3 hours on a workday, and 4-6 (more in the summer) at the weekend. When I get out riding, I can be freezing cold, and not wanting to move. I get really warm, really quickly though. Like - I went out tonight, and it's -2* at the minute. Once I got going though, I found it far too hot with a jumper on, and was even a tad warm in just a shirt and joggers. This was only on a solo ride, in a place I don't really enjoy - so I wasn't exactly doing much strenuous. This is kinda handy in the winter, but come summer it's a right pain in the arse. I've had one friend chastise me for being hediously unfit, and another saying I've got good circulation. As I said - I'm clueless, so - can anyone shed any light? Is it a good sign, or a sign of "self abuse"? Cheers
  4. Expensive - but if you get one, you'll be among the coolest people in England. Fresh Products Lever Blade. I have NO idea if these are still available... Need to talk to Todge if you want one
  5. I didn't like these to begin with, and I'm still a bit iffy on the stock - but that's lovely. Would probably be the mod I'd get, should I make the switch.
  6. Correct. I ran one for 18 months - or there abouts - and the chain snapped 4 times. The half link did not.
  7. On my 609, I had SD7 arms, with SD7 lever and Clarks cable. Used with snowies, heatsink yellows, TNN greens... Few more like... Very average brake. Could never really get it snappy, though that may have been the lack of setting up skills. Anyway... Today, I switched the arms to some cheap ass "Promax" arms and a wilko's cable, out of sheer desperation. Oh. My. GOD. It's f**king amazing. Grabs like CRAZY, but still modulates, because it's a Vee. (This is with Phat pads on a grind.) Probably just old, shit springs in the SD7 arms, but I'm more than happy to downgrade to these Promax things. It's unbelievable how much better they are. I would recommend one, for sure.
  8. Seriously? A whole other bike, just for when it's wet? Why?
  9. Assuming your sign-up date has some similarity to the time you started riding, if you're bored of four different frames already - trials is not for you.
  10. Holy shit... What a game. RISE FROM YOUR GRAVE.
  11. S'pose you could cut a pair of slots (one either side) in to the seat tube? Seen it done, and the frame sees a fair amount of abuse - so I guess it's not too bad... If yo can bear it - cut the bars down a bit. Depends how much you like the shape. I'm running 27's, and like them. Is the steerer as short as you can manage? Wear your pad material down loads Drill dropouts? Get rid of those grip lock on things. Hack a part of the pedals out? Either the outside bit, or the bit covering the axle, you choose. I'm not a weight weenie - these are just ideas
  12. How are they gonna get good enough to raid the big sites, if they've never practiced on little ones? I'm not supporting them - but... y'know.
  13. Bit late - but I only just got up, is anyone still around, or have you all left now?

    Nose Manuals

Apologies... I guess I'm not very good at saying what I mean. Helpful though it was - most of that I know. I was after this bit: I was just after the easiest way to get into the balance point motion. Like... if you want to manual, there's no point trying to learn to fakie manual, and then apply it - they're too different (in my opinion). I was wondering if it was the same for nose manuals. Upon reflection, I realise it was a pretty stupid question :$ My bad.

    Nose Manuals

K... I more meant - being that I'll be going fakie - would it be easier to just stick it out and learn them in the G-Turn, or should I start off by learning normal ones, then adapting it. Cheers though,

    Nose Manuals

So... I've managed to get the flipping over part of a G-Turn to work. Inconsistantley - but it's there... Trouble is, I can't keep the fakie nose manual out of it. Should I try and learn a regular nose manual first, or should I get learning squeakers, and stick 'em on the end after I've learnt it? I keep trying them - but am struggling, so wondering what you street boys reckon is the easiest way into them. Ta.

    Bmx

I think that's my favourite BMX video ever... Cripes. Wicked style.

    Virus!

...And after you've got rid of it - get some decent antivirus software to stop it happening again. AVG Free, or Avast have never let me down.
  19. Are boostered forks really necassary? I haven't heard about any snapping there in a fair while. Do people: a) Not run maguras any more? b ) Not make a big deal of it any more, as it's expected? c) Did the manufacturers already overcome the problem? Not ridiculing in any way - just curious as to the motives. Edit: "b )" without the space becomes . How gay.
  20. :\ I've had a vee (with the exception of a few months) for about two years...
  21. Was: Then: Now: But with a Vee and a grind on the back. Hate winter. Makes rims need to look like poo
  22. Not for me. Crazy good riding, but everything looked kinda sketchey. I don't mean the bails - I mean the clips where he makes the moves... they just don't look quite right. Drop gap to rail to drop at end was pretty nuts, though.
