  1. I'm just heading up the learning curve too. Start on slanted walls, or even a mini-ramp in a skate-park was a decent start I'm by no means in a position to instruct on this - I can only get them at about 75* max - but I'd say the same as Ali C. Agree with Mr. Johns, too. Somehow I find my brakeless 609 easier to hook than my Levelboss mod, which has rather good brakes. Edit: I've been attempting them for about 3 months, and can't take a vertical wall seriously. Just seems totally out of this world.
  2. Tomorrow? I'm game any day of these two weeks, except Easter Sunday, and the following weekend. Wed/Thurs/Fri I won't be around 'till 2ish though - but I know the place relatively well. Can meet you there if I get a number.
  3. Cool looking bike ...Except the bars. Flat bars just look absolutely horrific, to me.
  4. Super cool! Why not get his face etched into the backings, too! Seriously... Are they his signature backings? Look like regular TNNs to me.
  5. Sounds like you're already set for options, but my answer was Ed Potts
  6. I'm gonna side with Mr. Hynes on this one. Fair enough, if you can afford it, get two bikes... A comp one and a training one, or whatever. At that level, it's just a waste of money, especially as they could ride pretty much the same.
  7. Thanks for the responses guys. Any more? Need as many as possible please. Consider this an appreciative bump
  8. I had some, and the O-rings just sort of... dissolved. Either way - if you loose the O-rings or whatever, just stick some bluetac down the hole, then whack it straight back on. Works incredibly well.
  9. Me, Ben , Josh and PhatMike should be there. Where do you meet now that WhiteWalls are gone?
  10. I thought he was going due to savaging Toby?
  11. So one of my assignments has centered itself around rhythm. More specifically, different methods of construction. Click Me Edit: Cocked up the link. The four rhythms have been composed using different methods. Just 5 quick questions to answer please: (1) Please place write out the letters of the examples in order of your preference - first being the best, last being the worst. (2) Try to explain why you chose the first in the list as your favorite. (3) Do you prefer a complex, or simple rhythm in the music you listen to through choice? (By "simple", I mean like dance, or pop music. Not at all like: "HURR DURR HE LISSENZ 2 DANSE HEZ STOOPID LAWL". I hope you'll understand what I'm asking for - I don't quite know how to word it.) (4) Are you a musician? (5) What genre of music do you most often listen to? (Name ONE, please. Most listened to at the moment, most of on your MP3 player, most played overall - I don't mind how you come to your decision, but just one genre please.) Thanks a bunch P.S. - before you suggest a poll - 'cause I KNOW someone will () I need to be able to draw conclusions like "Musicians prefer complex rhythms" etc, and polls are anonymous.
  12. 20:17 Pretty light - but got used to it.
  13. Ah... But we HAVE seen this guy before. It is he: That "to-front-down-the-length-of-the-rail" guy.
  14. You're going to stop riding street, because people say you're trying to be Danny Mac? f**k that, man. They're just jealous of what you can do. If TGS were the thing to have taken riders by storm, and you switched to that, they'd try slating you for trying to be Tunnicliffe. Nowt wrong with wanting to ride like someone else - least of all someone that good. I'd say stick with it - you've obviously got the head for it.
  15. You lot really need to start signing out of each others' accounts (Assuming that WASN'T Adam replying on Ali's behalf...)
  16. HEY. STOP THAT. The more you ride those banks, the more "O.K" Mr. Chinnery will think it is to do so.
  17. f**king hell man. That up to front off the bollard outside the 300 Spartans is enormous! My friend lives opposite it, so I walk past it now and then - and thought JOKINGLY about the dropgap. Upwards? f**k you
  18. Seriously... You can't ask people to answer that. It's down to how you want to ride Only people other than you that could answer that is anyone you ride with a LOT, as they MIGHT know which'd suit your style more.
  19. Click Me if you're a Firefox boy. If you're not, become one.

    Oh Tarty...

Sheesh you guys are on the ball. Have you ever sent a package out within 10 minutes of it being ordered, I wonder?
  21. Perhaps... But I had to get a new tyre when, on my 609 (with those funny old straight chainstays) I had a Blue Groove on a Rhyno Lte - the 27mm one, going to a 47mm rim. Nobbles no longer fit On a side note - I hear that back in the day, Monty tried to make a 25" rear rim for stocks, to be like the mods. Being that it's half-way between, it might work: Is anyone on the case of a 23" rear rim for all these TGS 24"'s that are in the works? Edit: And tyre, obviously
  22. The SD7's on CRC are like... £18 a pair, and they're graphite. (ALMOST black) Work real well, as good as makes no difference fit the color scheme, and are good'n cheap. Can't see why you'd want anything else.
  23. ...Please don't tell me you did all that 'cause you were trying to put it on back-to-front...
  24. A motorbike flywheel-puller can do the trick, if you've got one of them. Failing that - as the one I got hold of wouldn't fit between my frame and crank - boil a big kettle of water, pour it over the crank so it's under a constant stream of water for as you can manage, then bash it with a hammer. It comes off without too much trouble. Had to do it a few times, as my middleburns stripped aswell. No idea why On a thread hijacking note, are stripped threads covered on the Middleburn warantee? They're fairly beaten up.
