  1. Levelboss copy, yeah - but it's heavier, so lasts longer 12 months of T-Pro and it was good to sell. Two months of levelboss and it died.
  2. Keep it 'till it dies. They ride lovely, and are strong enough to take some punishment.
  3. Hi. I used to run rubber grips, and loved them. With it warming up, this summer - maybe I'm actually trying stuff I struggle with - but already I was suffering from super-sweat induced slime-grips . I forced myself in to foam grips - didn't like them but the grip was worth it. Trouble is - I don't know how as they seem to last loads longer for other people 'round here, they rip within two or three rides. I've had a go on someone else's Trialtech foams, but didn't really like them. I think they were brand new - do they get nicer with "bedding in", or do they stay like that? Tey felt quite a bit firmer, and might not rip. I don't really like fat grips, either - so I want skinny, foam, rip-resistant grips I think you advisers have your work cut out for you. Any suggestions? Edit: I've just remembered a lot of people rate roadie tape. View points of people who've tried it please?
  4. It's by no means a bad spec. Are you comfortable on the bike with that spec? If yes - it's a good set up. If not - what's wrong with it? Identify what's wrong with it, and buy parts accordingly. Only thing I'd consider replacing if it was comfortable would be the freewheel, as mine skipped a lot. From what I gather, most of them are pretty good though.
  5. That's what (I'd estimate) 90% of stock riders use. The other 10% will run an alternative with a very similar gear-inch output - 16:13 etc. 18:15 will do you absolutely perfect, and 170's will be fine. Personally - I can't tell the difference between 165's and 175's. If it IS a tad hard/light - you'll adjust to it pretty damned quick anyway.
  6. Hold off on that if it's Trials UK Just read that people STILL order from the tool.
  7. Really not an enthusiast for this genre - but it sounds pretty well done. Like Hendrix said - more high end, and more compression. Can't believe I just said that - I hate compression Also - could stick a whacking great sidechain on it for super electroness

    Tf Nostalgia

Someone's Mrs' boobs setting the "most online at once" record. Edit: I think? Maybe I got mixed up. Edit2: No - it was at 2am - so I reckon it was.

    Question

Oh my god. Thank you - that was brilliant. I'd also like to thank KatKin for putting Hannah firmly back in her place... Or atleast a fair bit closer to it.
  10. That's not my point. He asked would it be loud - not would it be snappy. I know damned well that the two go hand in hand but the way the post was worded implies that the noise is the more desired factor.
  11. Never used an XTR, but my SD7 was darned good when set up right.
  12. D'oh hoh hohhhhh. True, but a flexy vee arm won't perform as well as a stiff one. So - indirectly - it IS the arms.
  13. I'm afraid this is what stood out to me... Why do you specifically want it to be loud? Most people find it an unfortunate, but unavoidable side effect. I ran one for a fair while - I liked it a lot - but not many others did. Can be very good if you set it up right - but vee's just don't feel nice to a lot of people.
  14. Nice. I've never had an experience like that - I guess you took it further than me.
  15. So - assuming they were standard pedals to start with - y'know - you stand on them, and they don't break - 100% less reliable would mean the very second you stand on them, they'll do something totally unexpected... Like start talking, somehow, and complain about always being trodden on. In this instance, I think I'd agree with the "buy light or put up with it", but on the whole I quite massively disagree. Drilling headtubes and griding bash plate mounts off won't make your frame "100% less reliable". Cutting down excess length on a steerer instead of running extra stackers won't, either. Surprise surprise, nor will drilling the sidewalls of your front rim.
  16. The barbs are for the crossover. You need a shroud nut and an olive for the main hose. Edit: That's a shroid nut and an olive for each end.
  17. Im not much of a fan of Koxx's pricing scheme - but those graphics are f**king mint. Main reason I like the White Skys
  18. More to the point, do they not feel dead weird under your feet? Fair play for trying it - but I'd've thought they'd feel nasty. Edit: Also - CraigJames: Some people don't have money to splash on MG1s, but would still like to make their bike lighter
  19. I hate to say it, but here I go: (edit: "p rick" turns in to "willy") Twat. 'Fraid you'll just have to bend the spokes to get 'em in. Try and make it a big curve though, rather than a small one. The less you can bend them, the better.

    Funny Bail :p

Now I always had it in my head that a bail was when you got out of what you were trying to avoid getting hurt. That's what I call a crash, I think Also - I don't envy you for it - whatever you call it.
  21. Just to put it out there - I wasn't making that comment in a negative sense - just surprise. Wasn't meaning to say "it won't work", just - "crikey, that's different."
  22. Possibly. Will see what Josh is up to.
  23. Mr. O'Connor: Coheed and Cambria - Welcome home. Also - he just ruined any chance hr might've had at getting sponsored by a tyre company
