Before you read the rest of this, I'd like to say I'm not retarded and I do know how to use a crank puller! Right, I've got a new frame (which happens to be on my lap at the mo) and I'm trying to take the cranks off my old bb to stick them on me frame. I've got my Park Tool Crank Puller and gone to pull the crank off in the same way I've done about 5 times before. It really doesn't want to budge. I've tried hitting the crank puller arm with a mallet etc, but its not going anywhere. How do I get the b*****ds off?! :$

I voted for Onza (due to a bad experience), but then I remembered 'Hardcore'. This make which I have only ever seen in Broad Ribbs (bike shop in Bicester). I am aware of someone that has one, they are heavier than an average Rhino and generally awful in every way. I'd rather ride a magna with cantilever brakes.

This cheeky beggar that used to come riding with us, decided to help himself to my bike while i was buying a drink... To cut a short storey even shorter, he split my Magura hose and didn't bother telling me. I went to get up a wall, and the lever just pulled all the way back to the bar [sinking feeling] and I fell on my arse! He thinks I don't know it was him... .

Pads: RimJam Blues Time used: 2 Months (or there abouts) Rim used: Onza Hog Grind: No grind, no tar Ceraminc: Nope Brake used: HS33, RB booster with water + anti-freeze bleed Review: The backings are TERRIBLE! In the first couple of weeks I managed to snap all the little struts where the backing attatches to the Magura caliper, so I had to use Blu tack to hold them on. I would compare the bite with Kool Stops to be honest, they were pretty bad. For a smooth rim, the wear rate wasn't brilliant either. They slipped about 8 times out of 10. The only reason I didn't change within a week of having them was because I had no money. Disappointing! Pads: Zoo! pads Time used: Cup'la months Rim used: Onza Hog Grind: No grind, no tar Ceraminc: Nope Brake used: HS33, RB booster with water + anti-freeze bleed Review: I lurve them! They make a nice noise, the bite excellently, the wear rate is a lot better than I was expecting after reading other reviews... They really are the nuts... Wouldn't change them for the world, unless its wet. They work absolutely terrible when they are even mildly moist, they leave this black oiley sorta stuff all over the rim. Which really doesn't work 'cause as we all know 'you rims gotta be clean! But there well worth having! 9/10

OoOoOoO... Bump for the Reading ride!

Ok - Shut up, and stop bumping this dead topic.

This could be embarrassing, • Onza T-Mag erm yes... That makes me look really inexperienced and rather thick to spend £290 on a frame kit made of cheese, but its not watcha got its watcha do with it... But if we're talking any old bikes; • Raligh Zapper (My first bike ) • Raligh Max 20" (Ridged, 5 Gears) • Dimondback Viper (Very rubbish BMX) • Dawes HardtailSomething (24" this time) • Huffy Monkey-Bike (6" wheels) • Specialized HardRock (Current, rear VW Valve cap) I suppose I should look on the bright side, I should have an 07 Python this time next week .

Well thats the picture of it... [attachmentid=8562] ... Take the reflectors off, get some new bars (and a stem if you've got enough dosh), New cranks wouldn't be a bad move, and if you want to be a sheep like me some maggies would be good too! And that seems like a pretty good order to do it in!

What Bike Bits Are You Treating Yourself To This Christmas?
The Duck replied to TomR's topic in Trials Chat
Python 07 frame wooo... and shortly after christmas a pair of Tensiles and a new Back wheel (should consist of a profile on a viz rim...) Aaaah glad to get that off my chest! -
Haha... Good come-back! You could of at lease made your point clear... by saying for example: 'Dear world, I (Joe Sweeney of Oxfordshire) am retarded' Edit: Tom on msn...
-
Neither actually! My second name is Hunt which rhymes with .... Stick a y on the end and there you have it! Love, C**ty

Good lad for organizing one for the southerners! I'm in, so is Joey B and I'm pretty sure about 4 others too... I'll have to check... Cheers

Oh for f**k sake... I'm having exactly the same problem building up a T-Vee for a mate... all I could think of (but haven't tried yet) is setting up the evo mounts upside-down? Could work... And what ever you do, don't get a T-Mag. As soon as you get reasonable good you will hate it. Trust me, I started off with a T-Mag, was completely happy with it for about it year until I landed on the bash plate after attempting to get up a wall and the frame just cracked. That was the end of that. Get a T-Pro if you want a good value frame!

I think all those excuses have come from my mouth haven't they Joe? I've really got to get round to getting some balls...

In support for blind people - Use your eyes of give to them to someone who will. It says the song at the end!

Front: Louise FR, BB7, Hope mini (possably), Avid Ultimate (if vee's float 'you boat)... Rear: Maggy!!, and again a Vee (if they tickle you fancy) and you could get away with a Hope Mono Trial if its on a Monty.
-
Avid ultimate of course you spanner!
-
Sorry to burst your bubble matey (on two counts actually...) 1) Wanted topics aren't allowed in NMC (this is looking like its turning into one) and 2) T-Mag's are rubbish (trust me I've had one for 2 years). Its harder to snap a tooth pick than a T-Mag. Edit: Anyway... if I was spending £500 on an Onza, I'd buy the new T-Comp!
-
Viz Rims rebranded? Naaah! They weigh about 100 grams more than Viz rims, and the drills a quite a bit smaller.
-
Joe, how many times have I said I hate your forks d'you reckon? Good boy for putting some pics of it up mind! It rides pretty well to be fair... Wooo almost forgot, your raceline Maggys look silly

Just keep looking here. I realize you can't reply to topics, but you can still get the seller's MSN/email address from their profile. Anytime now... Anytime now...

If its second hand you could pick up a pretty decent spec for that. If you want something new, it might be worth saving a bit more, but if you can't be bothered theres the new T-Pro. I'm not a big fan myself but it depends what you like. If I was in your position, I'd look for a second hand bike, you just get more fuh' yuh' money.

Good while they last, shame thats only a couple of weeks (if that) though.
