    Comps

Okay, been riding quite a while now, more recently on rocks and less streety sort of things. Would really like to have a go at some comps. I live near Oxford, so I get the impression that this is the furthest away point from any comps? Don't actually know specifically where any are held apart from tyke trial in scotland which is sliiiightly out of my way (about 6 hours). So if anyone knows of any near me? And how to get into it? I'll be able to drag a mate along so I don't look like a strange furry-faced teenager lurking in the woods... Edit: Just read through and it looks like a bit of a self centered topic, but i suppose it could help other people in the same situation as me...
  3. Longer chainstays = bigger sidehops, feels very different to backwheel. Not as much of a barge as a KO either. Where will you be getting it from?
  4. Yeah ryan. Orange looks surprisingly good, I too had my doubts. Finished it yesterday (as in its ride-able) but its got some tank-arse echo 07 rim on the back in silver which looks GAY and the weight is GAY. The current tyres are also GAY all because royal mail are being GAY. So don't really want to take pictures of my baby looking ugly. Will order a DOB rim for the reehar, slap my new tyres on when they arrive, then take some pictures. Its going to be all black and white parts with the orange frame. Will look phit imo. The phat pads on the back are AMAZING. As are the Rockpads/Spanish flys on the front (on a brand new rim, the bite and hold is unbelievable, would recommend them). Thanks tarty for all the new bits.
  5. Haha was having this conversation about prices of materials etc. with my dad last weekend... Came to the same 'everything is going to be expensive' conclusion. Magic.
  6. Or just buy mine off me for cheap

    .,

I suspect the compound is different. But they look silly.
  8. 1. Tilt bars forward more 2. Lift brake levers up more 3. Put your elbows right down against your rib cage. I think the main problem is your elbows are way too far out. Looks like your trying to fly away. I'm similar when i ride a mod. Anyway do the 3 things above, see what happens. Also, get a picture of yourself on a stock.
  9. Sweet riding. Music ruined it for me.
  10. Not finished yet (obviously) waiting for rim from trialsman to build up the back wheel... Will update when wheel is done.
  11. Am I reading that right? Belt drive? As in using a big elastic band instead of a chain?!
  12. As long as you use them on a mad grind, they'll be sweet.
  13. It can do, I'd be very suprised if you could do it yourself though. Pretty sure tarty will be able to do it for you but you'll be waiting til mid/late february.
  14. I replace my chain every few months...
  15. Cooool! Have you tried it without the booster? Does it work ok?
  16. What... http://www.pulobikes.com/prod_detail.asp?c...at2=3&id=43 Those are urbans.
  17. Glad to say, I'm not in this. Buuuuut 'fugigas' and some others are *evil laugh* 'Abingdon Trails' (Supposed to be trials) Edit: Saying that though, the wierd noise at about 2.40 was me
  18. No trying to sound like a miserable old wanker or something. But... That wasn't funny. Similarly, neither was that ‘how to destroy a Try-All rim’ or whatever it was, video.
  19. I'll be expecting a review by thursday!! Might order myself one...
  20. I'll match that. If anyone wants pads, PM me. And send money to Prawney.
  21. I know someone who had a bad experience with them... Mine have been nothing but good though, no reason not to shop with them.
  22. What?! How can it be so light? Stans is drilled and ti'ed from bars to rims and its 9.6??! Quick run through of spec?
  23. haha cool. Just ordered myself a High Roller XC 2.1 folding tyre for the front. Saved myself a load just on the front tyre.... New bike should weigh in at about 10kg
  24. Edit: Just rang up Dan, should be available thrusday/friday next week. Info should be up on trials-uk tomorrow.
