DO NOT use white spirit. It leaves residue on your rim which will make the brake even more shite than it was before. Go to halfords and buy disk brake cleaner (for cars, black aerosol can)

I expect there will be a bit of rain. Not much though. If you look at other websites, they predict a few light showers (about 2 hours worth), BBC is normally totally wrong in my experience.

Just don't every expect to have a good brake with an smooth rim. It just doesn't happen. Unless your (is it Danny Kearns?) who has some magic zoo pad set-up. I tried zoo pads on a smooth rim, they weren't that good, hold was wank, and one little bit of water = no brake.

Looks nice from what I can make out... Less stem stackers though, no more than 10mm under the stem!!

My heatsink reds are LOUDDD. Amazing brakes though so I'm willing to put up with the constant noise. Some one i ride with has cousts on a light grind and they only make a little bit of noise. I'd recomend Plaz Vee flys. I had them for ages on a light grind, just made a nice wooosh noise rather than a honk. Delta are cheapest for those.

Both nice. Prefer adamant to look at, prefer how the echo rides i would think. Don't get on with adamants at all for some reason.

I think not, I think you just tightened it too much. I've had at least 3 of those levers and haven't had problems with a single one. Used one for about a year and a half too.
