  1. If I had a mod, it would probably be that spec. Bars and stem look sick. Gotta get me one of those front rims... Mint.
  2. Very strange... Same set of koxx pads lasted me 11 months, there was still a lot of meat left I just lost one.
  3. Very tastefully done! Always thought glasseyetrials was a Nick G thing...
  4. Monsterboy BMX anyone? Saw it and was like
  5. Durrrrr Totally forgot about them.
  6. That is NICE. Can't remember the last deng bike I liked this much... Whats the front rim?
  7. Safe, something else to do weekend after next then. Also, sent ACU form off today, forgot to put cheque in. Shit. Will ring them tomorrow...
  8. Best sort of place to go for simple piercing? Out of interest... Have days occasionally where I think, yeah lets do it. Might follow through on it at some point. Seems to be a choice of: Clares accessories (ha NO) Dodgy goth, bong selling shop (again, NO) Any ideas?
  9. Fool! Not mono trials anyway...
  10. Booked my test like a month ago... Got another 2 and a half months to wait, and I reckon I could take my test and pass tomorrow.
  11. Magura Louise Edit: Forgot about the bike... Looks siiick! Disk only frames? Lol ImpactPreventSystem? its a bit of foam wrapped around the chainstay, people have been doing it for years!! Is that an Atomz freewheel?
  12. Carl Stanton Russel Brand Need to find a better picture...
  13. Hmmm... Well I don't think you really need a whole new bike, if you can afford it I suppose its a good idea but there is money to be saved... Maybe get spares of the parts that often go wrong/need replacing. For example, you don't really need a spare frame, or bars, or stem because the chances of that stuff going wrong is pretty slim (unless your running some funny flimsy frame). All I'd think you really need as spares, pretty much in order of what is most to least necessary; Most necessary TubesMagura/Other brake spares including bleed kitTyres (in case of big gashes in them appearing)Freewheel/free hub internal spares (few springs, few pawls)Chain tensioner/tensioner springsChain (I replace mine every few months)Bottom BracketHeadsetRear rim (quite low on the list because you tend to be able to tell when its about to go giving you time to order another)Least necessary Obviously some parts would differ from that list depending on components and how harsher rider you are (e.g. if you run tensile cranks, you will need spares because they are wack, and if your a basher running deng forks - especially with maggy mounts) Stuff on that list would be a lot cheaper than a whole new bike, and wouldn't require that much time/effort to fit.
  14. Ok, Lots of you will remember the big oxford ride a few months ago where there was around 80 people in attendance. One of the best rides I've ever been on, so the same again would be rather nice I think. Will consult more locals and see if they're around and add them to the list accordingly. So shall we say 11/11.30 at the station/bronze bull. List: 1. Max 2. Tom_ 3. Joey B 4. Danny G 5. Stanton (Possibly) 6. Also, every time I've ridden oxford on a sunday for the last month or so, people in a huuuge monster energy pick-up truck drive around and give us free drinks, which is nice. Shame its basically sugar flavored caffeine, but everybody seems to like it...
  15. Front freewheel is where its at. But yeah, Try-All Cranks + Trialtech BB = Winner. I wouldn't go for 160 cranks though personally... More like 165/170 for a mod. I run 175s on my stock But freewheel over king because - The weight is more balanced. Rather than lugging around a heavy back end, more weight is at the cranks/the middle of the bike. Just feels nicer to me...

Wow. That was amazing. Don't think I've ever heard of this chap before but chriiiist... That hook to back to front thing at the start made me go 'woow' sitting here on my own... :$
  17. Nah, I wouldn't bother having a spare. With the money you spend on having two averagely good bikes, you could probably have one really good bike, that wouldn't go wrong anyway. Edit: Quality not quantity!
  18. Callum told me to tell you to run infront of a bus.
  19. Thinking about coming... Bessell is being uncooperative, so - anybody know the quickest way to get from Paddington to where you lot are meeting and back again? I'd be coming on the train from Oxford... I'm assuming your meeting by the london eye, which is f**king miles away from Paddington according to google maps its 4.1 mi – about 15 mins in a car... Took us about one and a half hours before...
  20. Trialsman/NSE Not sure how much, not very expensive though!
  21. Moto-Trials doesn't appeal at all to me. Went to a demo yesterday, to ride my bike-bike and it was packed with moto-trials people. Looked like they were all having fun but, its all very samey looking to me. Seems to be - find an object > rev the bolocks off your bike > let clutch out and bang it into said object > see if you get on top of it. Over and over again. Its very different to bike-trials. Takes something very ordinary, that everybody around the world does, and does something silly with it. (Riding bikes - Hopping on rails on the back wheel, then gapping to a ledge on the front wheel etc) Granted, moto-trials is out of the ordinary but not everybody rides motorbikes and I think it makes it less 'accessible' for want of a better word. Its also a much more widely acknowledged sport, bike-trials isn't big at all. Every single ride I go on people stop and watch for ages, because they've never seen it before. Which is nice. Smelly, noisy and repetitive. Boooo.
  22. That mini Pro2 is sick. Exactly want I wanted when I had a mod. If hope mass produce them, and make one with a 14mm axel and no disk mounts for the BMX market - they'll be laughing. Whyyy? They don't make a non-disk hub for stocks? And even less people run disks on stocks than on mods... Doesn't get in the way, yes, you might land on it but so what?
