I have to say one thing, maybe it's because I'm sleepy but the frequent cuts in the editing were a bit too fast for my feeble brain! The vibe was good though, nice and light hearted, getting up the wall with the drop to sea was a bit nutty!
-
That rated pretty highly on the sickometer, keeper for sure. To me it's funny how the bike looks quite long (don't know if anyone else thinks that?) and yet he just pings it round like a really pingy thing - most enjoyable. Really liked editing and tune as well. What is it? I feel like I know it but can't put my finger on it...

When I read short I got excited, was thinking about 1040, but 1015 is pretty extreme! Unless they're measuring that without fork rake? Anyway you can't fit a seat so it's out of the question...

Improved Balance Whilst Rolling As Opposed To Standing Still?
Tommy d replied to Krisboats's topic in Trials Chat
Kind of agree with the Duane post above... I think it's just the fact that when you're rolling, you only need to make the tiniest movement to turn the the wheel a fraction and create the sideways movement you need to stay balanced. And because of the speed you're travelling at, even if it's not that fast, the effect will be felt pretty much immediately. Whereas if you're trackstanding, you've either got to actually lift a wheel off the ground and put it to one side a bit, by which time the amount that you need to move it by might have changed, and just the act of doing this might put you more off balance. Or if you're doing the turn-wheel-sideways-and-lean type of trackstand then it's just harder to create as much effect as if you were rolling, because you have to lean the bike quite far over to make even a small movement of the tyre on the ground. Or something... I confuse myself a bit when I try to explain that stuff! -

Haha you think you have troubles, internet at home is downloading at 8 kbps at the moment... Anyway, thought the video was pretty cool, some nice lines and some nice moves, soundtrack was alright too.

I live in Broadstairs, and I ride in Thanet a lot BUT only in the holidays, cos I go to uni in Southampton. I'm leaving on the 29th so that's not much use, and I'm not likely to be riding before then. Anyway whereabouts in Kent are you? Maybe see you in the Christmas hols... p.s. Ramsgate is well good for riding, including for beginners.
-
I've seen that riding before and it really is amazing in my opinion. I had never thought of it that way but now you said it, some of those moves do look exactly like classic street trials moves... coincidence?!
-
Has to be said that was smooooth as
-
Don't apologise to me about your helmet, just to your skull! Anyway I thought some of the riding was pretty smooth but maybe a bit gap obsessed... and I kept thinking you were going to turn stuff into a nice line but then it just went to the next clip

Thanks very much guys, really nice to get feedback like that. It's true the shorter bikes aren't really designed to optimise the hoppy back wheel stuff... but who cares when it makes everything else so much fun! Oh and who said old frames... mine was custom made fresh for 07! Ought to give Gilly his credit for editing it by the way, I forgot to mention that. Keep the love coming

We've had a brilliant Summer of riding back at home for the holidays, so here is the result. My cracked frame held out right till the end before snapping, now it's welding time... Gilly's Giant is still loving life of course. Youtube Video -> ">" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">

That line next to the stair set where blue t-shirt guy stacked it looks well tricky, good stuff! Music seemed a bit like it had a bit of a Super Mario influence to me, not loving those synth sounds... I can't believe in my whole first year at uni I only rode Portsmouth once. Coming soon to a Pompy ride near you: Me.

I think I've found it http://soton.facebook.com/group.php?gid=6064097114 wasn't too hard!

Doesn't matter how fit Fearne is, she is one of the most annoying people I've ever seen on TV!
-
Wow he really is. I like the way he lets his bike roll. I think his frame looks like it's been squeezed out of a tube of toothpaste though, but I guess that doesn't matter for a competition.

It never rains in the South East! I thought everyone knew that! Don't know if it's cos of global warming right now... I don't think it is, although all that flooding might have been. Global warming sucks either way.

Obviously I don't know what's happened in this situation but I would just say that Royal mail seem to be REALLY slow the last couple of weeks, probably related to strikes or something? I'm still waiting for something that's been posted and so is somebody that I sent something to, and that's after like a week with 1st class. Their web site says if it's ten days then you can claim for a lost item.
-
It is awesome, and it does have teaching bits in. The spoof 70s gangster chase bit is better though. Gilly, you probably should watch my copy in the near future... p.s. I love the fact that you think you can get into trouble!

Look here people http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....0&hl=g-turn It begins with S and ands with Earch...

Good ride fellas Gilly and I were just on our way up to the cliff top to see if you were there after we did our filming, and I bunny hopped up a curb and my frame went right through... We got some good clips though! Should be appearing in the video section in a few days time. Jay, Gilly should have your sidehop clip so badger him for it! See yous next time (if it's before the 29th)
-
Cool, I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say about 11 - half 11, somewhere along the sea front! Basically it's whenever Gilly rings me and says he's on the way... I shall PM you my number so you can find where we are.

Tape measure at the start kind of set the tone really... Lots of inches, yes, but boring video.
-
I haven't come across specific 24" forks, but you can get 26" forks where the brake mounts are set for 24" wheels (or where there are mounts for both sizes like Ashton forks). If you use a disc brake you could use any stock forks. Curtis do some but there are probably others too. http://www.curtisbikes.co.uk/trials-forks.html

Haha that was quite cool, mostly cos I recognise some of the spots from old Mike Bentham videos!
