    Editing Help...

    see also http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....howtopic=100688
  2. Same but probably even lower!
  3. I think it's going to be impossible to protect every part of your body, you just end up with too much padding to move. Just have to accept that there are risks and stick with the helmet. I wear shins too but even they are annoying. Unlucky about the back!
  4. Yeah go for the singlespeed says me. Gears are just extra hassle! Depending on frame choice I'd say horizontal dropouts if possible, less stuff to break. If your cranks are good, why are you changing? I've got those and they've been working a treat for years. I haven't ridden either of the other setups so I can't really comment... my instincts tell me Heatsink if you are getting new ones... And I'm a square taper man myself.
  5. Yeah you got skillz, quality editing and soundtrack and nice session at 2 minutes in
  6. Thanks a lot everyone glad you're liking it! I'm impressed there are so many former residents on the forum, the kitchen was pretty empty cos I waited till most of our flat had moved out The 'secret' garden is kind of behind Stoneham tower, it's pretty big, goes all the way round behind Connaught. It was fairly secret until after Easter, when everyone found it and spent the next few months lounging/playing frisbee there. p.s. Monte > Connaught
  7. Me and Gilly are going to hit Ramsgate this Sunday if the weather is alright, cos we haven't ridden there in months. All are welcome of course, be good to see everyone again, and anyone else. Meet about 11 at the main down by the harbour with the curved wall near the ice cream place, you know... p.s. if it's wet or mega windy we probably won't bother!
  8. Well you've kind of said it there, there aren't a lot of mass produced ones, but there's also Curtis and IoloBikes. Maybe Fresh Products? http://www.curtisbikes.co.uk/trials24.html http://www.iolobikes.com/ http://freshproducts.co.uk/Frames.html
  9. Ok this isn't the most serious trials video you're ever going to come across... Basically we (me and Gilly) just thought it would be a laugh to make a video of all the riding we could possibly do in and around our halls at the end of our first year of university. You only get to be in halls once after all! So yeah there's a bit of indoor, and street stuff around the buildings, enjoy! Damon Video 6

Yeah, don't really need to say but very powerful and controlled riding! I liked the actual video itself, well edited.
  11. The bits at the start were cool! Kind of went down hill a bit after that for me, it was mostly just one clip, one gap, next etc...
  12. Yeah nice video! Some of the lines were cool, interesting moves, I'd like to see more of the longer ones Maybe it didn't all look mega-controlled but good riding I say, keep it up.
  13. It's easily video number 2 for me. Whatever you think of the size vs interesting moves debate, it hardly matters cos that video seems to have both! It does seem like trials has lost the creativity for a lot of riders, more than anything else I am just amazed that people who are only about height and distance don't get bored with the lack of variety! But quite clearly they don't for the most part, so just let them get on with it I guess... I like it when group rides have a competitive atmosphere, but not for the size of moves, but for when people give each other ideas and try to make longer lines, do different things on the same objects, be more smooth, stylish, etc, basically creativity! That just depends a lot on who you ride with though. It doesn't happen very often but sometimes you see someone come up with a move that you've never seen done before, which takes skill and imagination. I think that's a far greater thrill than seeing someone gap even more amazingly far than last time.
  14. Weather forecast is not good. If it's dry then cool, if not I might go to Revolution... Any plans for where we're riding yet? I said Ramsgate cos I like it and it's nearby but anywhere within a train's distance is good for me.
  15. Quality riding. I liked the camera work too, often when someone's holding the camera it looks a bit rubbish and jerky to me but that was good, liked some of the angles.
  16. Really good video! Seems a shame to stop when you can do that! Seriously stylish riding, I loved the thing on the tree. Would have liked to see a longer video...
  17. I should be able to ride Sunday, I'm coming home from uni tomorrow (Saturday) so would be cool to ride with people again. You know you all want to come to Ramsgate! It's good on Sundays, even more spots to ride. It's on the train line from London Victoria (end of the line ). I'll see if Gilly and Jason are out?
  18. A guy in Kent called Josh used to have one... I can't remember his surname though and I'm pretty sure he doesn't ride any more. I think it was a really short 24" if that helps, just one peg on the back.
  19. Pretty good riding. What song is it? I recognise it but haven't got a clue...
  20. Repetitive riding but the video was well made Was music was that? Pendulum?
  21. Cool, camera looks nice and sharp, and you have some skills
  22. 170mm, 22:18, +10bb, but I'm not a hooker...
  23. From my experiences this year (1st year at uni) here's my student guide to low effort healthy foods. http://www.pagen.com/standard.asp?id=110 Get some of those bad boys. They're very healthy, cheap, and tasty just as biscuits (often used as my food rations on long rides), or with stuff on them. They are also incredibly loud when you crunch them in your mouth Mega-healthy but slightly odd meal you can make with them: Krisprolls + cucumber + tinned sardines in tomato stuff. Sounds odd, looks odd, tastes good. Put chick peas in random meals, they're cheap and healthy and very quick to cook. Easy meal = Asda smart price Irish Stew + Chick peas. Looks like sick but tastes good. Hmm why do all my low effort meals look so rank?! If you have a smoothie maker/liquidiser: Ice cream + banana + random fruit of your choice i.e. strawberries, grapes, nectarines, whatever. Ice cream isn't really that unhealthy... You can also add spirits for party smoothies. Breakfast = Shreddies + raisins. Can't really be bothered to think of more. If you think my ideas are not awful maybe I will...
  24. This stuff is amazing, it fascinates me, I had no idea lots of people were really into it. I've hardly really done any, but when I'm somewhere built up I always have a huge urge to explore the rooftops. Yesterday I went up the top of a multi storey car park in the centre (Southampton) and you could see loads of stuff... Some rooftops within jumping distance but there's no chance I'm trying it with the 4-storey drop! Maybe I'll keep looking for somewhere safer though. There's something I want to find in Southampton that I saw from Google Earth (a new genre of grafitti?!) where someone had drawn a huge outline of a bird in chalk/white paint on the top of a building. Pretty cool if your art is visible from space! I'm not really so into grafitti but I'd love to get up there and see it. http://maps.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&...1&encType=1 For me I think part of the appeal is finding mega cool places to ride my bike, although of course it's harder to get in somewhere with a bike. Anyone else love the clip in the new Italian Heatsink guy's video where he gaps down from one roof to another? Here's my best effort: http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=...673044185837693
  25. Nice, all pretty smooth and some interesting stuff in there.
